Life Changes Show, May 31, 2010
After 20 years of working in the corporate rat race of Fortune 500 companies I finally surrendered and started listening to my hearts desire. These past seven years have presented an interesting twist of inspirations, challenges, confusion, and hope. As I was engulfed with the day-to-day ritual of caring for the family, working long hours at work, fighting the long communicate backn forth to work and balancing the social life of family and friends I came to the realization I was losing at lifes game. Looking in from the outside my life looked totally happy and the envy of many of my peers. I had a husband and kids, a nice home, owned boats, successful businesses, owned blocks of property, drove Mercedes, successful career, money in the bank, etc, etc. Little did they know I was miserable and felt hollow inside and disconnected with life. My life totally changed after the day I asked my father a question, What is the meaning of life? I never really considered my father a philosophical guy but on that day his answer changed my life forever. He turned to me, looked me straight in the eye, with his index finger right at my face and stated with a stern voice, Everyones meaning of life is different; you have to find your OWN meaning of life. Three months later my father passed away but there isnt a day that doesnt go by that I continue hearing that voice telling me to go search for my true meaning of my life. So I started my journey for searching for MY meaning of life. I can definitely say I have a better understanding to the biblical passage, Matthew 7:7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. When you ask God for the answers he will provide them to you. Maybe not in the way you would expect but I can ensure you the journey towards those answers are indeed part of your life lesson and growth.
My quest took me down a path that I would have never dreamed of going. I ended up reading every book and taking every possible class I could which brought me closer to the understanding of balancing body, mind and spirit. Needless to say my family and friends thought I went crazy, which force me to walk away from everything and everyone that was preventing my growth. When you take away all of those distractions and negative energy that is preventing your soul to grow you can then hear the voice inside you, the beacon of your soul, directing you towards your true soul path. Now I am coming closer to realizing what my true meaning of life is and that is to be the bridge between the old way and the new way of life. My new path is now dedicated to helping others who are just as confused and hollow as I was and to assist them through the Life Changes, helping them in creating balance and understanding.
During this seven year journey, and still continuing, I now feel hope and inspired. I feel that I do have control of my destiny and I have a choice how life interacts with me. I am still working through some of those layers that are no longer needed in my journey but at least I now have understanding to why they are there. We all have choices whether to keep those negative feelings, people, and situations in our lives or create a life that supports balance and harmony. It can be a very difficult transition, but a rewarding one because during your change you realize that you have a higher self and others are here assisting you as you conquer the life battles that we choose to invite into our life for the growth of our soul and to raise the level of consciousness.
Life Changes Show
Come and join the conversation about what's going on and what we can do together about it, with it, and for it. We have the choice, we have the power. We can do magic if we just believe!
A show about the changes going on in us, to us, around us, and because of us. Therefore, it's technically a show about "Everything," only with a how to make it better, see it better, be better.
In the show, there is talk about, and with, people who have either been through major changes, are helping others with major changes, or people who are changing the world for the better in a major way.
The show is a one-hour talk show format with a monologue by the host, a 30 minute interview with a guest of note, capped by a "Producer's Wrap" segment, in which Filippo and Co-Host Mark Laisure, and sometimes surprise guests, bring it all home for the listeners in a sometimes humorous and sometimes touching, but always entertaining conversation.
