Steve Haffner is the De-Illusionist. After a 30-year corporate career in IT and management for companies including EDS, Mercer, and Humana, Steve launched his own speaking and performance business in 2011. Steve’s experiences as a corporate professional, business owner, and magician give him a unique perspective on deception and how the subconscious mind influences our decision making, affecting our personal and professional success. Using research from the fields of psychology, neuroscience and behavioral economics, Steve helps professionals improve their decision performance by recognizing and overcoming the biases, shortcuts, and impulses of the primitive “lizard brain.”
