Paul E. Bendheim MD, Founder, Chairman, and CEO
Dr. Bendheim is well-known in the field of neurological research and new treatment development for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. He serves as Chairman of the Clinical Advisory Board of Intellect Neurosciences and is a member of the Scientific Review Board of the Institute for the Study of Aging. He lectures internationally and is the author of more than 80 scientific articles, book chapters, and abstracts.
Dr Bendheim graduated cum laude from Pomona College and received his MD degree (AOA) from the College of Medicine, University of Arizona. He is a board certified neurologist having completed his neurological residency and a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr Bendheim is a member of the American Neurological Association and the American Academy of Neurology. Previous positions of Dr. Bendheim include; Medical Director of Development and Research Neurologist at the Banner Alzheimer's Institute of the Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona; Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Mindset Biopharmaceuticals; Medical Director of the Copaxone Division, Teva Pharmaceuticals; the Max Varon Visiting Professor in the Department of Neurobiology, Weizmann Institute of Science; Associate Professor of Neurology, Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York; Director of the Geriatric Neurology Clinic and Head, Laboratory of Transmissible Neurodegenerative Diseases, Institute for Basic Research. Dr. Bendheim also has been an advisor to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
