Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC was founded on the visionary idea that access to
sexual and reproductive health care could transform people’s lives. For more than 80 years, PPMW has
provided high quality, supportive reproductive medical care for families in the DC metro area.
VISION: PPMW envisions a society in which equity is a reality: where every person’s right to dignity, justice, and autonomy is fully recognized and protected; where accessing quality healthcare doesn’t depend on who you are or where you live; and where our community works together so that every person has the opportunity to lead their healthiest life.
MISSION: PPMW provides high-quality, compassionate healthcare, including reproductive care; promotes
sexual health; and advocates for reproductive rights and health equity for all.
