Bill Mosley is an activist and writer in Washington, DC. Bill joined the predecessor organization of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) in 1979 and became a founding member of DSA in 1982. He is a past chairperson of Metro-DC DSA and currently is a writer and member of the editorial committee for its newsletter, The Washington Socialist. He also was a member of the editorial committee for DSA’s national magazine Democratic Left from 1997-2007. 

Bills is currently the convenor of DSA’s Socialist Heritage Caucus which explores the history of DSA and the left through discussions and local walking tours. 

Mosley has also been active in the DC statehood movement and mass transit advocacy. He was an advisory neighborhood commissioner in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood from 1999-2001. Bill also has worked with Sanctuary DMV to support immigrants in their efforts to fight deportation.
