Talking Points Radio Toni – Every Day Business with Adam Armstrong

Adam Armstrong is a recovered addict. Now 5years clean and sober he is on a mission to talk about addiction and recovery. In 2019 Adam created IF I Motivation on YouTube as he identified a lack of resources available to people struggling with addiction in SW Florida. Adam knew that the same things he struggled with would be the same things others grappled with too and he knew he could help. Unfortunately, just 10 weeks after he created the YouTube channel his best mate Robbie passed away from a Fentanyl overdose and it occurred on the day before Adams 3 yr clean and sober mark. It became his mission to reach as many struggling addicts as he could with his channel.

Welcome to the show Adam and thank you for being here with us tonight, I believe its about 10pm in Florida, so we really appreciate your time to talk to us today about addiction and recovery.

What are some of the signs of addiction?

What got you started on your recovery journey?

What was the hardest part of your healing journey?

How hard is recovery?

What were some of the key things that helped you overcome addiction?

Why speak out publicly?

Let’s talk about the stigma of addiction – I’ve talked a lot on the show about the stigma of mental health and I know the two topics are linked so I’m interested in your perspective Adam?

How hard was it to get past Robbie’s passing and maintain recovery?

What helped you get through?

What does life look like now? And who supports you.
