Title: The Women of the Genealogy: Mary

This Sunday is the fourth and final Sunday of advent. We will focus on a fourth woman in the genealogy of Jesus who is actually the fifth woman mentioned. Because we heard a sermon about David and Bathsheba 2 months ago, Reverend Manion will preach on Mary, the mother of Jesus. We will also finish the service by singing the Hallelujah Chorus together.

Title: The Kings Choraliers: Jesus, ‘Brightest and Best

The King’s Choraliers celebrate the birth of our Savior at their annual Christmas concert, “Jesus, ‘Brightest and Best’ at LaGrave Avenue CRC. Their guest vocal group will be the Unity Christian High School Choral Ensemble.  Additional guest instrumentalists will also be featured as well as a carol sing.  A free will offering will be received.

We will continue our Advent sermon series on the women of Matthew’s genealogy. For the second Sunday of Advent we will hear the story of the second woman in the genealogy: that’s Rahab. Her story is told in Joshua 2:1-6. It will also be a communion service! We will join together as brothers and sisters at the Lord’s table to partake of the Lord’s Supper.
