Guest: Jerry Smith - I can talk about UFOs as I was the Executive Director of the National UFO MUSEUM (NUFOM) in Reno, NV from 1990 to 92. I wore a great number of "hats" in the effort to create the museum, its bookstore and gift shop, quarterly journal and international membership. In addition to the administrative functions of running a small business and directing an
all-volunteer staff, I communicated with thousands of UFO researchers and enthusiasts around the world, edited what became a respected UFO journal, NOTES FROM THE HANGAR, got to know the Reno Redevelopment Agency and other civic leaders, and was interviewed locally and across the United States and Canada on dozens of radio programs and one television show. Unfortunately MUFON, without doing any investigation of us, started a whisper campaign against us, which eventually led to our closing.
