Seth-Deborah Roth. Combines over 40 years of experience in the medical field with years of hypnosis expertise is what makes her stand out among the crowd. Years of being a Registered Nurse, then furthering her training to become a Nurse Anesthetist and then becoming a Certified Instructor of Hypnosis allows a very deep breath of understanding of the mind/body connection. She teaches a course for Medical Hypnosis where she not only teaches about the very real physiology of this connection in a way that ordinary people can understand but also, how, we can use our minds to connect within.
Seth-Deborah is a fellow with the National Board of Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists and has presented to the National Guild of Hypnosis, the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association, the International Hypnosis Federation, the American Board of Hypnotherapy, the Institute for the Advanced Studies of Health World Conference, the Dermatology Nurses Association and the 14th annual UCSF Integrative Health Medicine Forum as well as to a UCSF elective class for students within the medical department. She recently returned from presenting at the APHP (Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy) in London. She lectures in the hospital setting regarding medical hypnosis including St. Rose Hospital in Hayward,CA, Seton Hospital in Daly City, CA , the Bay Area Cancer Forum at Summit Sutter Health Hospital in Oakland,CA and Kaiser Hospital offices in Alameda, CA.
In 2007, Seth-Deborah appeared on the Discovery Channel's "MythBusters" season 5 episode 7 segment on hypnosis.
Seth-Deborah was inducted into the "Order of Braid" with the National Guild of Hypnotists in 2011. The Order of Braid Council is the centerpiece of the NGH Awards System and recognizes a lifetime of outstanding achievement, dedication, and service. She was also included in the 2012 top 100 Nurse Practitioner Round-Up. In 2013, she received on the the highest awards within the National Guild of Hypnotists the "Charles Tebbetts Award"- Spreading the Light of Hypnotism
