Today’s guest is Amanda Schubert

Amanda Schubert was born and raised in the Riverland region of South Australia. She a mother, author, children’s book illustrator, and school librarian. In 2019, she travelled to Ireland for a writer’s retreat at Crom Castle hosted by Serenity Press, where she made her debut as an international speaker. This was the moment that led to her achieving her dream of publishing her first novel, ‘The Bards of Birchtree Hall’, and she hasn’t looked back. Since then, she has had her novel included in the 2021 Hollywood Swag Bag Honouring Nominees Oscars Weekend, landing in the hands of award winners including SirAnthony Hopkins and Frances McDormand. Her book will also be gifted to the 2021 Logie nominees in Australia. She has also begun editing her second novel in The Stormbringer Chronicles, to be released later this year. Her work will also be featured in two anthologies this year: 'Sweet Delights' by Gumnut Press (romance short story) and 'Colours of Me' by Making Magic Happen Press (inspiring true story).

When she isn’t writing, Amanda enjoys spending her time reading, drawing, and creating memories with her husband and two children. Amanda is passionate about helping people uncover their true potential and is hoping to inspire others to believe in themselves and strive to achieve their dreams.

Good morning Amanda and welcome to the show Kez and I are so glad you are here.

Kez. What was the inspiration behind your story ‘How I learn to love my Shadow “in the newly Lunched book Colors of me?

Toni. Why the name Colors of Me, what did it mean for you to become involved.

Kez. How did you feel being asked to join the other a lovely team of authors, many of them well known published authors, it must have been a moment of “Who Me?

Toni. Amanda you’re a writer of fiction your last book the Bards of Birch Tree Hall was very popular, is there another book due out soon?

Kez. Was there a connection with Kez & Michelle before the invite to write in the Anthology?

Toni. Would you change anything about the story you wrote?

Kez. How closely did you work with the two authors who complied the book Colors Of Me

Toni. What advice would you give to other authors wanting to form the same sort of collaboration for an Anthology

Kez. Looking back on this experience would you attempt to collaborate on an anthology again

Toni. You belief in self-care and self-love is inspiring , how would you encourage women today to practice self care.
