Dr. Songrui Liu is an Assistant Professor, veterinarian and Ph.D. researcher at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Chengdu, China. She studies diseases that affect giant pandas and red pandas, and how to prevent and control these diseases.  Songrui is currently working for three months at Zoo Atlanta in the USA, assisting with the nursery care of twin cubs that were born September 3rd, 2016 to giant panda, Lun Lun, at Zoo Atlanta.
