I educate clients by a science known as Biomimetics. As an already proven world record holding training philosophy to follow, the majority of my students are our military elite. When you claim ability to teach any athlete how to run 20% faster in an hour, few recreational athletes will take such result possibilities seriously.
When you can teach a Soldier how to carry 135lbs of equipment and record a heart rate at 7% treadmill incline to be lower than walking naturally at 0% incline, one's military credibility is without question. With teaching athletes how to execute a 90-degree directional change cutting maneuver with no measurable torque load to the knee at all, if you can't do the same, then welcome to my world.
I'm not the only one in my field of study, merely the first of them to create an athletic development program in a very radical field of sports medicine. Training biomimetically is founded in idea of seeking to improve both physical and cognitive abilities. How video games play a role in that process is why my education begins where most leave off.
I don't study athletes with fingers crossed injuries don't happen. I study sports injuries knowing if I can protect clients from incurring them, improved performance is a natural byproduct.
With a resume including research sponsorship by Nike and formal testing through the Office of Naval Research in Coronado, CA. my training domain isn't teaching anyone how to lift weights. I teach how to manage and carry it. If you seek to improve in athletic skill, biomimetics is based upon reducing musculoskeletal injury risk through improving one's balance skills to increase running speed, economy, acceleration, physical agility, or load bearing ability.
Lifting weights isn't needed.
Founded upon the movement skills utilized by the best athletes determined by science, and not corporate marketing departments, is why my private clients include professional sports team head coaches as well as director of training for all US Navy SEALs.
The question I ask of any athletic trainer is "What can you teach me that I can't learn from anyone else?"
If you're tired of doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results, then I'm confident training biomimetically will radically impact and improve your athletic abilities. Because everything I teach is different from anyone else....
