The title of the show is taken from The Books Of Acts, where people came together with the Holy Spirit acknowledging who God is and who we are in Christ, what our benefits are, and how to make use of our God given benefits-under the same mind ON ONE ACCORD sharing with each other in WORD, THOUGHT and DEED.
On my show I will be discussing the Psalms, the power of the Psalms in the Bible.
I will discuss my book titled, As a Man Thinketh in His Heart So is He. It is much more than positive thinking!
On my show, I will invite my listeners to become ON ONE ACCORD with me, following the simple teaching of Jesus, sharing with each other in WORD, THOUGHT and DEED. If we plant seeds in good soil, it should yield an increase. We should not have to receive a harvest from another one's soil.
Jesus never meant for the ministry to become a "Cash Cow" business. We cannot buy our way to Heaven. Jesus left a plain instruction, to "Feed my sheep, not only in word, but with deeds also.
My invitation is for us to form a union together, sharing our prayers for each other, and pooling our resources together, whereas whenever anyone had a financial need, there would resources in the storehouse. If you plant here you shall receive from here! I am excited about this! There will be no borrowing or lending! What comes in love will be sent back out in love!!!
Carmen Thomas Mitchell
Carmen Miranda Thomas, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I am an author and spiritual counselor, born 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, I was sent to live with my grandmother in Alabama. My grandmother was a strong woman of faith, and had close ties in the church. I was brought up not only in the church but praying and studying the Bible. I had to recite certain passages on a daily basis. She was preparing me for the challenges that lie ahead in life.
I took my grandmother's death very hard, for I felt she was the only one that loved me. She made me realize that, even though I was an only child, God would forever protect me. I grasped and held on to that revelation after my grandmother's death, for I felt rejected and unloved by my parents.
I reunited with my mother and we moved to Cleveland, Ohio. There I attended middle and high school, married, borne five children, and after years in an abusive marriage, I picked up a world travel book with all 50 states and chose Atlanta, Georgia. I'd never been, nor did I know a soul there, but I boarded a greyhound with five small children and fled.
My Passion is cooking and giving out words of hope and encouragement. I have held many positions to care for my children including clothing designer and seamstress.
With 23 years in the healthcare field, I left an impact on many of my patients. The greatest joy was to be told my services were no longer needed due to improved conditions.
I have a love for God's word. I have taken many courses on various topics of the Bible. I am licensed as a Christian counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). My love for reaching out gave me the opportunity to air live on gospel local radio for almost three years. No, I do not hold a degree in theology, but in the Book of Joel 22.8 it reads that in the last days God will pour out his spirit on all flesh. All we have to be is willing and obedient. We are here on this earth to bless and be a blessing to others. That is my passion.
The radio station that used to air my broadcasts was sold to a foreign broadcaster, and so I waited until the divine time presented itself. And now with BBS Radio it is bigger and better! My unwavering faith and trust in God and my God-self have brought many victories in my life and those that I stand in affirmative with.
