Guest, Karen Kataline and Ted Trimpa
No surprise here, the corrupt January 6th Commission asks the DOJ to indict Trump. Spouting Off host Karen Kataline wins us to talk about the latest. Plus Dem strategist Ted Trimpa on why the Left has lost all off its sense of humor.
They are the Bah Humbug Party.
Our guest is Captain Rommie Duckworth, career fire captain and paramedic/EMS Coordinator for Ridgefield (CT) Fire Department, author, speaker, and educator. We talk about personal experiences with trauma that demonstrate the importance of getting help, and how officers and department leaders can stay current on available mental health and wellness resources. Also, we discuss differences between generations of responders and their openness to seek help.
Rommie explains the role of company officers ensuring their members are given the opportunity to speak confidentially about stressors and challenges at home and on the job, and how to connect members with proper resources when necessary. The author of chapters in more than a dozen EMS, fire, rescue, and medical textbooks and over 100 published articles in fire and EMS magazines, Rommie gives us a look behind the scenes into the mental health and wellness chapters of new EMS and fire textbooks.
Rom is a dedicated emergency responder with more than thirty years of experience working in career and volunteer fire departments, hospital healthcare systems, and private emergency medical services.

When you are a writer and teacher you're always looking for that next story or insight to share and when it comes to you, it's a gift. So it was with delight when my youngest daughter, Savanna, a teacher herself, made such a gift.
This week brings us the Fall Equinox! The Sun transits from Virgo into Libra, initiating Autumn (in the Northern hemisphere). You might not even know it, but most likely you felt it somewhere in your body, mind, and/or soul. Mercury also goes back into direct motion on this powerful date. This is one of four days, the Equinox and Solstice, celebrated by many different cultures and traditions in the past as well as the present. On Wednesday evening â Thursday morning, the Earthâs orbit around the Sun, the day and nightâs duration is equal, bringing balance to the earth.

I want you to think about opening your 8th chakra, which will open you up to your truth. Truth is something that can withstand the test of experience. Without the core of truth there can be no real justice, equality, success, progress, intelligence, security, peace, love, spirituality, or even our survival. Without truth mankind is lost â and is headed for certain disaster â perhaps in the near future. How can one open up and release their pain â and move forward into the Light of peace and happiness? Truth has a common denominator â be assured. Truth is the only thing that can unite all human beings. It is what we all have in common and something that will always remain.
Perhaps the fear movie is the most powerful. Weâll do almost anything to avoid itâyet you have to admit that it has an aliveness about it. But when we live in that emotion, it consumes us and itâs difficult to really experience some of the positive emotions such as love, peace, joy and harmony. The fear movie makes us feel as if weâre stuck in a tunnel where all we see is darkness. At times we feel that weâll never see light again.

Get on Track Health and Wellness (GOT) is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Lombard, Illinois. GOT offers services and programs to empower youth and adolescents to prioritize health and spend less time on technology. These programs are customized to each individual and will focus on six key areas: movement, nutrition, mental wellness, strength and conditioning, coaching, and education.
The COVID-19 pandemic closed businesses, retail stores, schools, and churches around the country. For two years, children were forced to turn to technology for all education, social, and entertainment needs. GOT's inspiration is to create greater balance around this reliance on technology. The organization wants all youth and adolescents to have the guidance, tools, and confidence to adopt healthier lifestyle choices
GOT will draw from its 35 years in the Fitness and Wellness industry (working with youth and adults of all populations) to more effectively match our clients with the appropriate treatment and plan. Our commitment is between the youth/teen and the family.
GOT"s target market is technology-addicted, sedentary youth and adolescents. The end customer will be children, adolescents, and young adults ranging from age 18 to 35 who are addicted or have a mental preoccupation with technology. GOT will rely on the family (parents, grandparents, relatives, etc.) to identify their loved ones as exhibiting technology-addicted behavior. GOT will market its services to teachers and school districts who can help identify and refer students to GOT's programs and services.
