Disclosure Day, Alien Deception, and the Bible’s Warning About Spirits From Beyond
Continuing Church Of God 49

A Film Sparks a Prophecy Discussion

In this episode of Bible News Prophecy, host Steve Dupuie introduces a discussion with Dr. Bob Thiel about Steven Spielberg’s film Disclosure Day and its possible impact on religious belief. Steve frames the question around whether undeniable evidence of alien life could cause people to abandon what they believe about God. Dr. Thiel responds that true Christians should not have their faith shaken by a fictional movie, arguing that Christians are to let God be true and measure claims against Scripture rather than Hollywood storytelling.

Spielberg, Religion, and the Question of Alien Life

Dr. Thiel reads from commentary about Spielberg’s belief that disclosure of alien life could shape Christian faith around the world. The discussion highlights the film’s central premise: if extraterrestrial life were openly revealed, people might ask whether God is only connected to Earth or whether God’s role extends across civilizations throughout the universe. Dr. Thiel rejects the idea that such questions should destabilize Christian belief, saying the film’s premise is built on false assumptions and should not be viewed as a serious threat to grounded faith.

False Knowledge and the Warning From Timothy

Dr. Thiel connects the film’s claims to New Testament warnings about false knowledge. He cites Paul’s warning to Timothy about avoiding profane babblings and contradictions falsely called knowledge. In his view, Disclosure Day relies on the kind of speculative “knowledge” that can lead people away from biblical truth. He says Christians should continue in the things they have learned from Scripture rather than be carried away by cultural narratives, entertainment, or claims that present themselves as hidden truth.

Scientific American and the Problem With the Movie’s Premise

The program also references criticism from Scientific American, which Dr. Thiel says challenges the idea that alien discovery could be kept secret by SETI researchers. The discussion notes that scientists involved in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence say a genuine signal would not realistically remain hidden, because modern communication, social media, scientific transparency, and verification processes would make secrecy difficult. Dr. Thiel uses this to argue that the movie’s secrecy-based premise is not only biblically questionable but also scientifically implausible.

Faith That Cannot Be Shaken

A key theme of the episode is that real Christian faith should not collapse because of a film, public disclosure claim, or possible appearance of unusual beings. Dr. Thiel cites Hebrews’ language about receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken and says true believers will continue to believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the coming Kingdom regardless of cultural pressure. He also promotes Continuing Church of God literature on the logical existence of God and Christian faith, presenting these as resources for people who want a biblical and rational foundation.

“We Are Not Alone” Through a Biblical Lens

Steve asks whether the Bible describes beings that could be considered aliens from outer space. Dr. Thiel answers that the Bible has always acknowledged nonhuman beings, including angels, fallen angels, demons, and other spiritual entities. He says Scripture already teaches that humanity is not alone, but not in the same way popular culture imagines alien life. Instead of viewing extraterrestrial claims as proof against God, he argues that the Bible provides the framework for understanding unusual beings and supernatural encounters.

Revelation, Jesus’ Return, and Misread Heavenly Visitors

Dr. Thiel points to Revelation, especially Revelation 9 and Revelation 19, as passages that some people may later interpret through an alien-invasion lens. He reads from Revelation 19, where Jesus returns from heaven with armies on white horses and the kings of the earth gather to make war against Him. Dr. Thiel argues that the nations may fight against Jesus because they are deceived about true Christianity and may misinterpret His return and the angelic armies as an invading alien force.

Angels, Demons, and UFO Encounters

The episode then turns directly to whether angels or demons could be considered extraterrestrial or alien in a broad sense. Dr. Thiel says they could be described that way because they come from beyond ordinary earthly life or from another dimension, though he frames them as spiritual beings rather than biological space aliens. He references earlier Worldwide Church of God commentary on UFOs, Ezekiel’s “wheel within a wheel,” and modern flying-saucer beliefs, saying many alleged UFO or alien encounters may be demonic rather than evidence of life from another planet.

Roman Catholicism, Demonic Claims, and End-Time Deception

Dr. Thiel also says a Roman Catholic priest was criticized for stating that many UFO and alien encounters are demonic. He presents this as an example of institutions resisting a biblical interpretation of such phenomena. The broader warning is that claims of alien contact may increase and may be part of satanic deception in the end times. The discussion returns to Paul’s warning that evil people and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Holding Scripture Above Hollywood

The program closes with Steve directing listeners to Bible News Prophecy and Continuing Church of God resources. The central takeaway is that Disclosure Day may influence popular thinking, but Dr. Thiel argues that Christians should judge the alien-disclosure narrative by Scripture, not by film, media excitement, or speculative claims. In this view, the Bible already explains humanity’s relationship to God, angels, demons, deception, and the return of Christ, so no movie or alleged disclosure should overturn Christian faith.

This is the Bible News Prophecy Program, bringing you news and analysis of world events in the
light of Bible Prophecy.
The following program is brought to you by the Continuing Church of God.
Green Friends, this is Steve Dupuy for the Bible News Prophecy Program with Dr. Bob Teal,
bringing you news and analysis of world events in light of Bible Prophecy.
Dr. Teal, a new Steven Spielberg movie was released yesterday called Disclosure Day.
Have you heard about that?
Oh yes, I'd like to read something that Michael Snyder posted about it.
Here's the headline.
Steven Spielberg believes that Disclosure Day will greatly shape the faith of Christians
all over the globe.
Then his artisans.
What undeniable evidence of alien life caused large numbers of people to abandon what
they believe about God.
Disclosure Day comes out in theaters this weekend.
It appears to be one of the biggest questions that this film is driving at.
Spielberg is actually convinced that there's aliens on Earth right now.
And he says this is going to affect religious faith.
And he says his movie takes the position of the church.
Now that, that actually means the Roman church, not our church.
Then he says, what does this have to do with fundamental beliefs that many of us have?
Is God only on this planet?
Is God a God for every system where there's a civilization, intelligent life, and even developing
life?
The Oscar winning filmmaker argued the proof of alien life before as many believers confront
difficult questions about God's role in the universe.
Then Snyder comments over time, billions of people could end up watching this film.
So think about this for a minute.
All over the world, people will have their opinions about extraterrestrial life shaped
by Spielberg.
Would discover alien life really be face-shavering.
One character in Disclosure Day, this must be a former nun, argues, people will see aliens
as deities.
They'll stop believing in God.
Well, would your opinion, Dr. Teal?
Will people stop believing in God because of Mr. Spielberg's talents as a filmmaker?
Well, sorry, not real Christians.
They won't shake our face.
We'll still believe.
The movie has several false premises.
And the Bible warms in Romans 3-4 indeed let God be true with but every man a liar.
The movie should not shake the faith of any who aren't extremely weak.
Booker Proverb says, Proverbs 24 verse 10, if you paint in a day of adversity, your
strength is small.
And I don't think the Scarborough Disclosure Day even rises to be serious adversity,
the just-effectional movie.
I've read items about it.
I've even watched some official trailers about it.
The type of knowledge that Disclosure Day is based on simply not true.
By the way, there are actually knowledge problems back in New Testament times.
And the apostle Paul warned the prophetic evangelist Timothy, verse Timothy 6, starting verse 20,
he said, Timothy, guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle
babblains and contradictions of what's falsely called knowledge by professing it some of
the straight concerning the faith.
What is some of the false knowledge and display in this movie?
Well, Scientific American actually says the movie's basic premise is false.
Here's a headline from it.
What Disclosure Day gets wrong about the search for aliens?
The movie Disclosure Day is about big alien secret.
That SETI researchers say that they're not in the business of secrets.
There's this fictional movie, a group of people leaking long suppressed news about
aliens being real.
Researchers at SETI in Mountain View, California say this couldn't be further from the truth.
There's no effort to keep it secret.
If we get a signal, it's going to go out there.
It's transparent.
Here's another quote.
Scientists are more available than they've ever been before by social medias as Michael
Garrett, Mr. Honomer, University Manchester and England.
As a someone detected the signal, the problem would not be we'd be able to keep it to ourselves.
The problem we leak out before it's verified.
There's a lot of things up there.
We have drones all over the place now.
There's not any also billion drones.
Therefore surveillance and other purposes, Garrett says.
If you look at it, you'll find these things.
I don't believe it's alien intelligence.
Our modern era's obsession with UFO, according to Oliver, is best understood by his failure
of the public scientific literacy.
Steelberg is working on feelings he's had since he was a child, Oliver said.
That's not scientific.
Anyway, the basic premise of disclosure days are considered implausible and basically unscientific.
So does this movie actually pose any risk of deception?
Yes.
In a new Testament, 2 Timothy 3 starts verse 1, Apostle Paul warns, but know this.
In the last days, perilous times are going to come.
There are going to be lovers themselves, lovers of money, posters, crowd, glassimmers.
I'll go down to verse 13.
The evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.
And this happens to some of these alien type people, but they're pushing this stuff.
But what are we supposed to do is Christians?
So you must continue into things which you've learned and been assured of, nor from whom
you've learned them.
And that from childhood, you've known the Holy Scriptures, which were able to make you
wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
Now I am saying that people like Steven Spielberg are deceived and deceiving others.
Yet, no, Christians are to continue to believe what's in the Holy Scriptures.
And let me add that the Scriptures are scientific and they do help those willing to accept the
truth that God absolutely exists.
Are you saying that the existence of God is scientific?
Yes, and you can prove it.
We have a free book, Cook Cook, is God's existence logical, of able to see Ccog.org.
We explain from scientists why certain explanations, how the universe began and how life began,
are not scientific, but the biblical approach is the only logical one from a scientific perspective.
And then, you know, God does exist.
Jesus is going to return to establish his Millennial Kingdom.
And I want to read something about that from the book of Hebrews, chapter 12 verse 28.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let's have grace by which we
may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear.
The disclosure day movie will not shake the faith that true believer is either.
And by the way, we also have a free booklet on the faith.
Faith through those guys is called chosen also free.
We book at ccog.org.
Now, getting back to Michael Snyder, he also wrote the following related to this discovery day movie.
He says for decades movies, television shows, books, video games have been priming us
to believe someday aliens will finally make their brand appearance.
When that happens, much of the global population will accept.
But they have to say, hook line is sacred.
But true Christians will not have their face shaken by disclosure day.
They will never have their face shaken.
Even if aliens show up the large numbers of sky above the planet.
From the very beginning to the very end, the Bible openly acknowledges we are not alone in the universe.
In fact, the Bible makes a great deal to say about angels, fallen angels, demons, a whole host,
to other nonhuman entities.
In the final book of the Bible, the star wilders in any scientific movie that Hollywood has put out.
Yes, very strange creatures will someday invade our planet.
We can read all about it in Revelation chapter 9.
Steven Spielberg seems to think the fact that we're not alone is some type of a grand discovery.
But the reality is, so the matter is the Bible has been telling us for thousands of years.
We're not alone.
So don't buy into the Hollywood propaganda.
Yeah, I understand what Michael Snyder is saying when he says, we were never alone.
But does the Bible describe aliens from outer space?
Well, the ninth and tenth chapters of the book of Revelation
describe what some will probably consider
aliens from outer space.
For example, Revelation 19 shows where Jesus comes down
from the heavens, the nations of the world are going to fight against him.
Let me start reading verse 11.
Now I saw the heavens open, and behold, the white horse, and he is sad.
I was called true and faithful.
And the righteousness he judges and makes war.
And verse 14, now our reads of heaven, clothed in linen, white, clean.
They followed him on white horses.
They're coming from the heavens down.
Verse 19.
And I saw the beast, the kings, the earth, and the armies gathered together.
To accept Jesus.
No, to make war against him who sat on the horse and his army.
Then the beast and the false prophets are captured and they're thrown into the lake of fire.
Verse 21.
And the rest were killed with the sword, which received on the mouth of him,
and sat on the horse.
So why anyway, why would nations fight against Jesus?
Because they've been deceived about true Christianity and the real Jesus.
And likely because he and the angels come down to heaven,
so we'll probably think he and his angels are some type of invading
aliens.
So that said, we've made a video related to aliens and demons last call.
Is it an alien or is it a demon?
Does all professing Christianity agree with that understanding of deception spoken of in
Revelation?
No, furthermore, yes, money.
The Roman Catholic Church actually relieved a senior priest,
most senior Stephen Rosetti, for commenting that a lot of UFO alien counters are demonic.
Then sadly, they made him apologize for what he said, even though what he said was true.
Anyway, the Bible clearly teaches that angels and demons have been to the earth,
and angels are going to come down from Jesus from heaven.
Would an angel or demon be considered an alien?
Well, you could make the argument that they certainly are extraterrestrial or aliens from
others modern space, or at least for another dimension, because they're in a spiritual dimension.
And that spirit realm, by the way, includes demons.
I'm going to read a couple of things at the Old Worldwide Church of God said about this last
century.
He wrote, encounters of the weird kind, the elusive UFO.
Are we seeing earthly beings visited by extraterrestrial beings in mysterious UFOs?
Millions of Americans believe so.
Actually, strange mysterious objects have been seen in the skies for thousands of years.
Even the prophet Ezekiel reported seeing an awesome wheel within a wheel,
as an often quote precedent for unusual sightings in the heavens.
And then they cited Ezekiel 1,
Psiuso read it, starting verse 16.
It does appear to the wheels, and their work was like a wheel in the middle of the wheel.
And they went, and they went on the foresize, they turned on when they went,
and when the four rings, they were so high, they were dreadful, and their rings were full of eyes
all around them, or the living creatures went, the wheels went with them.
The living creatures lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
So worldwide said, Ezekiel's description is often been interpreted as a vision of a
horrible throne of God complete with representation from the heavenly host.
Then it went to the whiff of paranoia.
Yet the modern UFO era really didn't dawn until after World War II, when Kenneth Arnold,
Idaho businessman and pilot described seeing a disc-like thing throughout the sky.
It says, like a saucer, it just kept it across the water.
From that, it said, came the term flying saucer.
Since that time, people believe in these things have grown up a lot.
Now, they said to fundamentalists, UFOs are far more likely to be angels or demons,
than something from a other planetary system.
Then they quote a doctor, Hart Armstrong,
who was the president of defenders of the Christian faith.
He would seem to me that if there's flying saucers or UFOs penetrating Earth's airspace,
they must be satanic in origin.
They must be carrying out a program in Satan for these last days.
But pretty well would tend to agree with that.
Look, I've long asserted since demons are from elsewhere,
they're aliens to the earth in that sense.
The Bible shows that humans have had encounters with demons,
and some of these so-called encounters probably look like UFOs.
So anyway, I believe we should expect to see more claims of the
Pope verified, paramount normal activity beyond what's going to be in movies like Discovery Day.
Because I believe that is part of Satan's plan.
