Raging Flowers is an award-winning indie pop artist from New Zealand. She makes quirky story songs that are generally funny, sad, or angry. She wears her heart on her sleeve and speaks her mind with hilarious honesty.
She’s a one-woman band who writes, performs, and produces her songs. She has an experimental approach and a friendly sound. She is influenced by the oldies of the 50s and 60s as well as the modern-day pop stars. Her favourite artists include Nina Simone, Paul Simon, Violent Femmes, Daniel Johnston, Jorja Smith, and Sia. She started writing music to explore and befriend her own emotions. Now she makes music that makes her happy.
Her music is rapidly gaining recognition. Her debut single charted on the NZ RadioScope Alternative Airplay chart. Tissue Paper (unreleased) was awarded the First Prize in Out From The Mist 2024, an international arts competition for mental health awareness and the hope of recovery.
Before Raging Flowers started writing songs, she had a career in Tech. She got burnt out and took a career break where she became a professional Muay Thai fighter and fell in love with songwriting. She hopes to help others have a laugh about life's challenging situations through her songs.
