Gordon MacLelland is the CEO of ‘Working with Parents in Sport'.  A coach of 20 years, with experience at all age levels from Under 7 to adults.  He is a qualified teacher and has been Director of Sport at an independent prep school in the UK for the last 10 years. He has worked in schools in both the UK and New Zealand. Gordon set up ‘Working with Parents in Sport’ after 20 years as a teacher and as a coach to all age levels from 7 year olds to Adults. He has a BA/Hons degree in Sports Science from University College Chester and a PGCE from Lancaster University. He is a qualified teacher and has been Director of Sport at an independent prep school in the UK for the last 10 years. He has worked in schools in both the UK and New Zealand for the last 16 years.

He is the author of two books, ‘Great Sports Parenting’ – A pocket guide for parents of children in sport and ‘Engage’ – A coaches guide to building positive relationships with parents. In recent times he has become a parent to two children and the early sporting experiences of his own children prompted him to set up the company as well as write the two books above.

As a speaker he brings a wealth of experience to working with organizations, coaches and parents gathered through 20 years as a teacher and coach as well as a parent currently involved in children’s sport.

We are a UK based company that works with sporting organizations globally, providing unbiased information that understands the difficulties that parents and coaches face in today’s world. VEE NELSON

In 2013, fourteen year old  Southern California native Vee Nelson burst into the music scene with her debut pop single and subsequent video, “Swing of Love.” 

Refusing to be pigeonholed into the oversaturated young pop star market, Vee set herself apart following the catchy “Swing of Love” by infusing soul, rock, and pop to create a surprisingly sophisticated sound. The much-anticipated follow up to the Kaleidoscope EP is excepted to be released soon and is already getting huge buzz based on the nostalgic summer feeling single “Crash,” and the titillating single “Dangerous” that is featured on E! KAREN V. JOHNSON, JD

Karen Johnson’s 27 year-old son Ben died due to a drug overdose. One night he was at a party with his friends, they got drunk and decided to try heroin for the first time. While all of his friends tried the same drug, Ben was the only one to overdose.  Instead of calling 911 and give Ben the lifesaving help he needed, the dealer spent his time disposing of the drugs and cleaning his place of evidence, all while Ben lay there dying. 

Karen’s fast-paced life and 30-year career as a federal judge came to an abrupt halt as she was enveloped in unrelenting grief for the loss of her son. It was immediately after his death that Ben’s spirit began to communicate with her, and while this level of connection was foreign to Karen, she followed Ben’s nudges and her world has never been the same.  

Having an unsupportive work, that initially allowed Karen only 2-hours off to attend her son’s funeral, she became unable to reconcile her working life with her communications with the spirit world. So Karen did the unexpected, she quit her job, sold her house with all her belongings, and went on a 2½ year journey that took her all over the world.

Led by her son in spirit, Karen’s path took her to a shamanic spiritual practice of healing. 

Karen V. Johnson, JD, is a graduate of Georgetown Law Center (J.D.), a former Fulbright Scholar in Afghanistan, and holds Masters Degrees in Public Health and Public and International Affairs (MPH, MPIA). Karen is a retired federal administrative law judge who practiced criminal and energy law for more than 30 years. She also is a former U.S. Army officer, Major, USAR (inactive). Karen was personally trained by Alberto Villoldo, and is faculty at the Four Winds Society and a Master Practitioner of Energy Medicine.
