There's no greater purpose in my life than to do great things, because that's what I'm meant to do. I'm not content wanting to see change in the world, I want to be that change! Some say that when it comes to piercings, tattoos and other mods that their body is their temple and they will not desecrate it. I say that my body is my temple therefore I decorate it. May the world judge me for what they think they have the right to judge me. To change or alter the course of my life and not allow my inner being to live would be like walking the face of the earth as if I were already dead. When I look back at life I see a life that was filled with chaos and beauty and I chose to turn my chaos into something beautiful. It is not because I hate myself or because I am angry and confused that I modify my body. In modifying my body I am allowing my inner self, the spirit which dwells within my sacred shrine to live freely in this world without the binding confines of fear and repression; living this one life to the fullest because it is my choice and I have that right. The words many speak about equality and acceptance, that every man woman and child is born into this world with equal rights does not give anyone the right to deny me every protection afforded the person standing next to me who is deemed by society to be "normal", another label used to segregate and discriminate against people in the name of righteousness.
