What is Coaching?

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Coaching is not therapy. A therapist help clients fix problems, overcome issues, and perhaps manage mental illness. Coaches do not work with mental illness or do they deal with problems. Coaches focus on solutions and opportunities.
