Frank Vogl is the co-founder of two leading international non-governmental organizations fighting corruption — Transparency International and the Partnership for Transparency Fund. Vogl is the PTF Board Chair.  Marília and I will speak with Frank Vogl about how western nations have enabled kleptocrats for decades and how these actions have benefited authoritarian regimes in many countries. We are now witnessing sanctions and reclamation of property in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and also laundering money for Russian oligarchs. Can the average American do anything to stop the threatening and weakening of democracies around the world while we facilitate the enrichment of oligarchs by allowing them to launder money?
