Our guest is Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the first female Lieutenant Governor of Maryland (1995-2003). In 2010, Townsend became the chair of the non-profit American Bridge, an organization whose focus is to raise funds for Democratic candidates and causes. We will discuss her book 'FAILING AMERICA'S FAITHFUL: How Today’s Churches Are Mixing God with Politics and Losing Their Way', her recent opinion piece in The Washington Post, and she will share how she knows her father would have wanted DC to become the 51st state.
