Because there seems to be such a wrestling match between bad and good in our world, we've chosen "Not Bad" to be our featured phrase of the week.
"Not bad," eh?
How often have you said, after trying something new or different, "Not bad." Or what about the times you described something or someone as "Bad?"
Well, what makes something "bad?" When you unpack the little word "Bad" look at what's inside:
substandard, poor, inferior, second-rate, second-class, unsatisfactory, inadequate, unacceptable, deficient, imperfect, defective, faulty,
shoddy, amateurish, careless, negligent, miserable, sorry, incompetent, inept, inexpert, ineffectual; awful, atrocious, appalling, execrable, deplorable, terrible, abysmal; not up to scratch or even par
informal crummy, rotten, godawful, pathetic, useless, woeful, bum, lousy
Can you believe the sorry, miserable, execrable, godawful conditions contained within such a tiny word?
There are over 100 syllables that come tumbling out of that one. Not bad for one tiny syllable.
Well, on tonight's program we're going to take a look at the whole phenomenon of "badness"-- see how we feel about it and what's to be done with it, if anything. Like, how to change bad into good? But wait! Is there even a "bad vs good" or do we make that up?
Lots to discover, so join us at 7 PM (PT) and we'll be sure to include insights, music, some "not bad" humor and surprises.
Not bad, eh?
Until tonight, we are
