Celebrate our 40th Anniversary with us tomorrow night 7 PM

On Jan 6, 1975 Rochelle and I began cohabiting. While the word doesn't sound very romantic, in fact, it was. We moved into a house at the end of a railroad track in Saratoga, CA. It had a corral with a horse. And we bordered a large wooded area at the other end of which was the Paul Masson winery. We met on Dec 4 just the month previous.

The bed, which was on a bright red rug was very high. We may have needed a ladder to get into it, though sometimes my memory exaggerates things, but we were highly motivated. Come to think of it, there may have had a bundling board between us.("Rochelle, do we still have that bundling board?"................the picture says it all)

I had taken over as artistic director at Montalvo Festival Theater. Rochelle was my assistant as well as playing a nun in the first play I directed there, "Little Moon of Alban,"

I have pictures of her in her habit. I also have pictures of her without the habit, but you have to be older than 12 to see them.

Anyway, we've chalked up some amazing experiences together over the last 4 decades. Needless to say it's been challenging, but very, very rich living and working together all of these years--constantly learning and realizing first hand that "the meaning of life is in its adaptability," (U.B)
