Well, here it is July 4--Independence Day. I'm imaging the signers of the Declaration of Independence gathering together after the signing saying, "That's freeing," which is why "That's Freeing" is our featured phrase of the week.

Of course, they had a ways to go before they could really celebrate their/our freedom, enduring a great deal of cost and sacrifice.  But here we are living in a "free country"--well, perhaps, not as free as we'd like, inasmuch as the majority of us seem to have so little control over our government and the laws that determine our health, wealth, and over all general welfare.

So, what's to be done to continue our freedoms and expand them?  I would suggest that we need to do what the 13 colonies did. Become unified.

In our zest for freedom and how we brand ourselves in the world, we often overlook the fact that if the thirteen colonies had not become unified, we'd be singing "God Save the Queen" at our football games.

So here's a question for my fellow Americans:  In terms of guaranteeing our freedoms, are we better off divided or united?  It would seem that being divided has taken over the body politic, but when I think about our becoming more unified, well...."that's freeing."--literally.

So what's it going to be? Freedom through unity or loss of freedom through divisiveness?

Join us tonight as we discover what's truly freeing?
As usual our conversation will be sprinkled with humor, music, insights and surprises.

Let's be together tonight. "That's freeing."
