Good morning Wendy and welcome back to Radio Toni Let’s recap – last week we talked about the journey of Inner Genius Teens program and the benefits to teenagers and how your course can have a positive impact on their lives. This week we are going to talk about the younger children those under 11ys. [Type here] We know that early childhood brain development has a life long impact. In fact 90% of a child’s brain develops by the age of 5 but lots of things change for the child in middle years with lots of milestones along the way. 1. Wendy, with this in mind, what specifically does your education program offer to young minds? Lets explore some of the specifics of middle childhood and how your course addresses these. • 1st mission of middle childhood is to sustain self-esteem – to feel good about oneself most of the time. In a single day, a student can experience success, failure, popularity, loneliness, stress, and humiliation. Friends, family and respected adults can help in tough times • 2 nd middle childhood is to be liked and accepted by peers – this is a strong pull and can cause these children to dress, talk and do anything to fit in. • 3 rd middle childhood is to find a way to be like everyone else and, yet, to also be different, this can lead to inner conflict. • 4 th find acceptable role models for the future – this is so important and can come from external places like social media, TV, music etc – sets life goals • 5 th middle childhood is to begin the process of questioning the beliefs and values of the family - rethinking previously accepted “truths” and starts the child on the path of developing a personal philosophy. • 6 th middle childhood is to earn a position of respect within the family, sibling rivalry, acknowledge the individualism of each child • 7 th explore independence and test limits, the little resistance they had changes as they near adolescence, • 8 th acquire knowledge and master new skills – if they learn easily vs learning difficulties • 9 th middle childhood is to accept one’s own physical appearance, body build and athletic abilities • 10th deal with multiple fears – fear of the future, possible failures, fear of loss • 11th take control of drives and desires – compromise, settle for less, substitute and replace • 12th realistic sense of self – by the age of 12 children should be able to list the good things as well as their strengths and weaknesses. 2. What is the target age groups that you cater for in the children’s course? 3. The inner Genius program is self-directed but are their avenues for parents to keep up with what their teenager is learning? 4. Is it a good idea for parents of middle childhood children to schedule their Inner genius Coursework into their daily lives and if so what are the benefits? Planning is a developing teen skill and by exposing them to scheduling of their inner genius course work parents are helping to develop their scheduling skills and create a lifelong valuable skill. 5. Let’s talk about children and mindset – one of the key components of your course. There is so much research out there about the importance of educating children on the concept of mindset, in particular growth mindset. We know that toughness, failure and perseverance and consequences are part of the key to a successful life. I know this is something you are particularly passionate about Wendy. How does Inner Genius children's program deal with the learning around these concepts – failure is part of life, there are consequences for your actions, how to handle setbacks, focus on effort and not results? [Type here] 6. Children nowadays have a lot of uncertainty, How does Inner Genius tackle the concept of childhood happiness in the course? – creativity, compassion, connection, gratitude, learning and unplugging from social media. 7. One of the chapters in the coursework focuses on Gratitude – an attitude of gratitude – Why is it so important that we teach our children to have an attitude of gratitude? Practice looking for the good in life and people, encouraging them to express gratitude, volunteering, saying thank you. 8. What are the key elements that make Inner Global Genius stand out from the crowd? You develop skills and abilities for critical thinking, encourage intellectual and emotional growth creating competent adults with nurtured imagination, creativity, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills to create bright and happy futures. How can people connect with Wendy and inner genius global? Inner Genius Teens are proprietary hands on programs empowering teens with 6 different tools in a short period of training. As the students work through these different concepts they become more confident in themselves, develop a better understanding of who they are, a better self image and a greater confident in themselves and their abilities to achieve. Each and every child has endless possibilities and inner potential locked up inside of them and our programs has the key to unlock their inner potential.
Guest, Luke Fenwick

Intro to the amazing guest for today Luke Fenwick, Life Impact Coach

So, lets tell you a little bit about Luke before you get to meet him in person.

Luke's career spans 25 years across numerous Sales and Marketing roles in industries such as luxury goods and professional sports, organizations including Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy and Melbourne United Basketball Club. He traveled the world, dined in world renowned restaurants, met celebrities and sporting stars, won a championship in professional sports, lived the good life, adrenaline pumped, experienced glory, work was often a dream filled with incredible moments.

When his corporate career was at a point where he was allowing work and his mindset towards it to negatively impact almost every aspect of his life, Luke was no longer in control of his emotions and this was detracting from his ability to function at work to the level he knew he was capable of and it was slowly destroying his family life too. Luke then decided to change the narrative of his life. He stepped away from his high paying role, something he had worked so hard for and desperately wanted to make work, to refocus his mind, revaluate what was important and create beliefs and habits that would carry him forward in life and to his legacy. Stepping away allowed him the opportunity to work towards being the best father, husband, and person he knew he could be. It allowed Luke to find his purpose, which is to help as many people do the things, they want to do to live their best life and create a legacy of fulfillment. He graduated from the Jay Shetty Certification School (one of the first 20 graduates) and a few months later, launched his own life coaching business.

Luke’s vision is to impact 1,000,000 lives by 2025 via my Life Impact Coach business " Dawn of Legacy"

“Our beliefs create our thoughts, our thoughts create our feelings and our feelings create our behavior... and our behaviors create our results. If we can handle our beliefs, then everything changes.” Marie Forleo

Welcome to Radio Toni we are so privileged to talk to you tonight Luke.

I wanted to start today by talking about the Dawn of Legacy – One of my core strategies for my life now is to create a legacy. The reason Luke chose to become a life coach is bigger than him. It is for his wife, it is for his son, it is for all of the others that are wanting to do more and be more for their family and their community. Luke is a coach for those that are wanting to make an impact on the generations that follow them. He believes that everyone has the ability to live a bigger more fulfilling life, we just need to know how and where to start! He believes most people only need the support to break down the boundaries in their minds and create the habits to achieve even the biggest of goals.

Legacy is defined in the dictionary as a gift of property, money or a bequest, anything handed down from the past, from one ancestor to another.
