Speaker 1 (Opening Narrator): I went at your bidding and passed along their thoroughfares of trade. I ascended their mountains and went down their valleys. I visited their manufacturers, their commercial markets and emporiums of trade. I entered their judicial courts and legislative halls, but I sought everywhere in vain for the secret of their success. That is, until I entered the church.

Speaker 1 (Opening Narrator): It was there as I listened to the soul equalizing and soul-elevating principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as they fell from Sabbath to Sabbath upon the masses of the people that I learned why America was great and free and why France was a slave. Alexis de Tocqueville, French historian reporting to the French Senate in 1800. A few years before Dr. D. James Kennedy passed away, I spent an afternoon with him at his church in Florida. Dr. Kennedy was the founder of the world-renowned Coral Ridge Ministries known for stating on national television regarding abortion that is.

Speaker 1 (Opening Narrator): While pointing his finger at his viewers, 4000 died daily and 300,000 pulpits are silent. On one occasion, Dr. Kennedy told me that while he was holding a large convention at his church, the homosexual lobby was protesting him. A pastor attending the convention was shocked and asked, why is your church being protested?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): James Kennedy corrected this pastor with a relevant question to his question. You mean your church doesn't get protested? Friends, Protestant has meaning, protestant. America is looking for the Christ that the 78% of Americans claim that they serve.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Agree or disagree with Reverend Charles Finney, while he stated, Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in religion, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, friends, the pulpit is responsible for it.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): How deprived is the understanding of the modern church when it comes to its own history? Nowadays, effeminate hirelings have infiltrated the pulpits. Pulpets have no business occupying. By the looks of them, I can see why the enemies of America are so encouraged.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Instead of preaching against sin, transgression of God's moral law, 1 John 3:4, these hirelings accept sin, attempting to cover it with a false grace, read Isaiah 30, and in so doing, they teach their congregants to war against a just and a holy God, Micah 3-5. What a contrast to the preachers who thundered from America's pulpits before. During and after the Revolutionary War, causing the colonists to stand up to the face of tyranny. The British labeled them as the much feared Black-Robed Regiment.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): The British were not the only ones who recognized them as the bulwarks of America's independence. Many men they were of iron nerve and strong hand, an unblanched cheek and heart of flame. God needed not reeds shaken by the wind, not men clothed in soft raiment, Matthew 11-7-8, but heroes of hardihood and lofty courage, and such were the sons of the mighty who responded to the divine call. Bishop Charles Galloway, 1898.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): The ministers of the revolution were like their Puritan predecessors, bold and fearless in the cause of their country. No class of men contributed more to carry forward the revolution and to achieve our independence than did the ministers. By their prayers, patriotic sermons and services, they rendered the highest assistance to the civil government, the army and the country. Historian B.F. Morris, 1864.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): The Constitutional Convention and the written Constitution were the children of the pulpit. Historian Alice Baldwin, 1918. Today the professed church is attempting to flee from its responsibility to be part of the political process when in fact, God is the one who gave government, read Exodus 1821. The church is to overcome evil with good, and as our forefathers rightly stated, resistance to tyrants is obedience to God, and friends, might I remind you that God is always willing to give the church what it's willing to fight for.

Speaker 1 (Program Narration): Did you know that violating the oath of office is a federal crime? As a matter of fact, violating an oath of office or employment generally invokes a combination of administrative removal, civil penalties or criminal prosecution under federal statutes. In the context of federal employees, the combination of 5 U.S.C. § 7311 loyalty and striking requirements and Executive Order 10450 mandates the removal of individuals who advocate for the overthrow of government or belong to organizations that do so. So in other words, friends, they're there to uphold the law, not to tear down the law. Why is it that next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day, the Fourth of July, is it not that in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior.

Speaker 1 (Program Narration): John Quincy Adams, Speech on Independence Day. The Sons of Liberty is a politically neutral organization. Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): One of you said to me recently that we shouldn't rock the boat. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you that I am a boat. Oh, I hope you're all right. Hello friends, as well as if you want to meet me, scoffers, atheists, skeptics, lunatics, weirdos, and assorted bad guys.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And of course, all of you good guys and girls out there, welcome to the Sons of Liberty. You have with yours truly Mr. Bradlee Dean folks, have you ever heard of this? This is from a guy named Alexis de Tocqueville. And he said, I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And it wasn't there, he said, in her fertile fields and her boundless forests. And it wasn't there neither. In her rich mines and her vast world commerce. And it was not there.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): In her democratic councils, operating friends democratically within our constitutional republic. In her matchless constitution, he observed about America. And he said it was not there neither, her genius, not until I went into the churches of America and her pulpit flame with righteousness. Did I understand the secret of her genius and power America is great because she is good.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great. How true is that? How true is that? Oh my goodness, folks.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): He's celebrating the 250th anniversary of America. You know, I was almost contemplating today because I do a show where Americans, I lay to your candor in question, you have 30 minutes to explain to our forefathers what has become of the America that they have founded. How would you respond to that? And I thought, well, I don't want it to be a negative.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): I want it to be a positive. But you know what? It's never a positive until we deal with the negative. Is that true?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Absolutely 100%. So again, at least contemplate what I'm asking, okay, in your own time, just ponder, reflect. You have 30 minutes to explain to the founding forefathers what's become of this country. And I said, what has become of what it is that they did not tolerate in any sense of the word tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Everybody's going to be what? Celebrating the 4th of July. And you all know, because I highlighted this last week, that's 17 of 27 reasons given concerning the grievances from our forefathers. It was the 17th grievance that was highlighted by our forefathers, which was taxation without representation.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): It was taxation without representation. So with that friends, I want to have all of you keep in mind what this is all about. And I'll highlight it in just a moment here. But I do want to let you know before we get going, we're going to be talking about the unsung heroes of the revolution.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): They're called the Black-Robed Regiment. I'm going to highlight them because again, this is the history that most people have zero understanding of. It's completely out of sight and out of mind because it's been completely scrubbed. Folks, you know, that less than 3% of the population that's been used to establish what it is that we have today.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): As you all the well know, 56 signers, again, 13 colonies and they were used by the Lord to establish what it is that we have today over 250 years later. That is a miracle within itself. Considering how many constitutions worldwide have faltered up to eight and 10 times, but yet America, you're still into your first constitution. Only again, can the Lord do this friends.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And here we are. And again, I want to remind everybody what an opportunity we have been given by the living God to actually do what it is for our posterity, what it is that our forefathers did for their posterity. And that would be me and you. Now, I want to highlight something really quick because what's up and coming here, friends is I believe it starts tonight.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): I've seen a movie called the Great Awakening. It was a movie about the Great Awakening preacher, George Whitefield during the founding era of this country. And it was very well done. As a matter of fact, it was made known unto us from a friend of ours in Texas, our friend Bob.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And we went out and seen it and folks, it was so good that I went and seen it again. And it was very well founded. It's historic. It's a fact.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And now they have the same Angel Studios now has a movie coming out called the young George Washington. And I trust that it's going to be is sound, sound meaning without error. It's going to be a sound as the last one that they did because I believe it is a Christian version, which is supposed to be more of a historic account, more documentary movie, so on and so forth, which only solidifies it. It really does because it gives us Hebrews 13 seven in moving pictures per se.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And Hebrews 13 seven says that we're to walk in the footsteps of those that have gone before us. And ultimately, that's exactly what they're laying out for us when it comes to George Washington. So I'm going to give them a high five. Now I want to go back to George Washington real quick.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And I want you to understand that he was the first president of the United States of America. I also want to reiterate the point that he was also called a deist. Now what is a deist? Well, in dictionaries like Webster's funk, Wagnall's century and others, the word agnostic and atheist appear as synonyms, right?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): So the range of a deist spans from those who believe there is no God to those who believe in a distant, impersonal creator of the universe to those who believe that there is no, no, to know if God exists. That's exactly what was defined out. There is no, then the K and O W to K and O W have got exist. So now do the founders fit the definitions of what it is that the revisionists have laid out for us concerning them being deist?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Absolutely not, not any sense of the word. As a matter of fact, almost half of the signers of the declaration that being 24 the 56 held what today would be considered seminary or biblical or Bible school degrees. George Washington, the supposed deist, he was the one that rightly said morality cannot be maintained without Christian religious Christian principles. When the first Congress under the Constitution assembled in New York City of April 30, 1789 to hear George Washington's inaugural address.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Oh, let me insert this, let me insert this into this conversation. When he was done, he swore with his hand on the Bible that he would uphold the enumerated laws. Does anybody know what chapter it was open to? What book it was open to?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): It was actually opened up to Deuteronomy 28 where there's 15 blessings in 55 curses. And when he was done swearing his oath before God and the colonies during that particular time in New York back in 1789, he kissed the Bible. He kissed the open chapter of Deuteronomy 28. But let me go to his quote really quick.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): He said, no people can be bound to acknowledge and address the invisible hand or adore the invisible hand, which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. George Washington went on and said every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency said George Washington. He said, you will join with me, I trust in thinking that there are none under the influence of which the proceedings of a new and free government can be more auspiciously commenced. A deist folks, not even close.

Folks, if you ever go to Washington, D.C., do go to his estate friends and look at his casket and tell me what's written and inscribed upon his casket. I am the resurrection and the life.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): That was Jesus Christ and is Jesus Christ that those words have been given unto us by. And that's exactly what he has on his tomb. Speaking of George Washington, but let me go back to the fact that he sold to you as a deist, right? Matter of fact, when you go inside of his estate there in Washington, D.C., it's interesting how the masons have equated him to be a mason.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And folks, just for the record, there's nothing that's further from the truth again. I'm sorry that I need to reiterate that, but you're lied so often. That's why you hear me highlight this so often. If it sounds rhetorical, do forgive me, but it's not tedious for me to remind you that you are being lied to constantly.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): But when you're in Washington, D.C., and you go over to George Washington's estate, you will see a big masonic symbol right on the entrance door there. And it's of interest to the American people to take note that, again, there's no truth in that whatsoever. It's like these modern-day, occultic, masonic individuals, they wanted to go ahead and drape themselves in the patriotism of that of George Washington. And that's how they deceived so many people into believing that he was one of them, when again, nothing could be further from the truth.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): But let me get back to the point of deist. I want to go ahead and convey a story to you really quick about George Washington. And I'm going to convey it to you so that it can be used to be virtually understood that, again, what I'm going to convey to you next is exactly what every student in America understood before they graduated. And again, it's the story of that of George Washington.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): During the French and Indian War occurring nearly 20 years before the American Revolution, 23-year-old George Washington, young George Washington, and 1300 British American troops, they walked right into an ambush. And after two hours of battle, 714 of the 1300 British American troops had been shot down. Only 30 of the French and Indians had been shot. Now of the 86 British American officers in that battle, George Washington was the only one left on his horse.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): It's like King David say when he said, and that saying in the book of Psalms, that the Lord gave commandment to save me. We go to Psalm 91. And what does it talk about? How he's hidden under the shadow of the Almighty.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And again, folks, we can just highlight Scripture after Scripture concerning what it is that we're highlighting with the likes of a modern day Abrahamic individual. And I'm talking about George Washington. When he had taken off his jacket after this battle, there were four bullet holes in his jacket and yet not a single bullet had touched him. Several horses had been shot down from under George Washington, but he had not been harmed in any sense of the word.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): In response, he told his family by the all-powerful dispensations of providence, the Lord, I've been protected beyond all human probability or expectation. 15 years later, an old Indian chief told George Washington that he personally shot at Washington 17 different times without effect. Believing Washington to be under the care of the great spirit, he ordered his men to stop firing at Washington. He told Washington, I've traveled along in a weary path that I might see the young warrior of the great battle.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): I am come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of heaven and who can never die in battle. Who are we talking about? We're talking about George Washington, that brand new movie is coming out, folks. I would say go ahead and give it a shot.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): The last movie they made was absolutely spectacular. And they held to the historic points which needed to be made. And they solidified it very well in the sense of understanding what our history truly is all about and I'm talking about Angel Studios. So here, let me give you another bit of information because not only do we tear down here, but we also want to build up.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Speaking of deist, again, I brought this up, especially to the new listeners where people will talk about our forefathers and who they were and well as to which you've been told that they are by the revisionist. I just want to set the record straight for you really quick during this first segment here. So what we have here is the church affiliations of the Constitutional Convention delegates. And what we have is 28 of your forefathers were Episcopalian.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Okay, eight of them were Presbyterians. Two of them were Congregationalists. I'm sorry, seven of them were Congregationalists. Two were Dutch Reformed, two Lutheran, two Methodists and two Roman Catholics in one unknown.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And even to point the finger at the word deist to suggest that any of our forefathers or deist, evidence does not support that they were in any sense of the word. Also pay attention to the fact that every single one of our forefathers fell under the denomination and under the umbrella of the Christian faith. Let me just say that one more time of the Christian faith. Okay.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Well, again, I want to do if I can do anything every time I get on this radio is plant seeds and know that people are getting who they are. And it's important that we do because once we begin to put our feet upon who we are rather than what it is that they want us to be. Well, then we don't have to worry about it. And then also we can make distinction between the good guys in the bad guys.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Now I just brought up the fact a couple minutes ago that tomorrow is going to be the 4th of July. I do want you to understand that the proclamation or should I say it was solidified on the second the proclamation came about on the 4th. I want to put this into perspective for you while you're celebrating tomorrow what's going on behind closed doors. Okay.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Greater grievances 11 times more were the abuse of representative powers that our forefathers threw off. Remember we did a show two weeks ago friends by Samuel Adams, the son of Liberty that made clear that the declaration of independence was a category of crimes or the catalog of crimes that they did not put up with abuse of representative powers, abuse of military power seven times more often, abuse of judicial powers four times more often, generally stirring up domestic insurrection two times more military power about civilian power or above civilian power. And taxation without representation was 17 out of 27. As a matter of fact, it was given little emphasis in the declaration at all.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Yet it's the one known today by the American people because they've been brainwashed. What they did is back in the 20s, 30s and 40s, they started to rewrite history and they made money the objective rather than freedom the objective. They're going to celebrate tomorrow. I could ask nine out of 10, maybe 10 out of 10.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): What are you celebrating? It's taxation without representation. They're sadly mistaken folks. It is freedom of religion.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Now I want to play this next piece for you because this is where things are at. One of the things that we know with the corrupt in the halls of government friends is while the people are celebrating Easter Christmas, we call Easter the day of resurrection Christmas. We celebrate, we celebrate other holidays throughout the year. We commemorate them for the right reasons before God because we understand that our blessings are bestowed upon us by him.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): But people also are coming to the understanding and the realization that while they're celebrating the corrupt in the halls of government and those that are pulling the strings are doing their best to undermine our freedoms on another day. I mean, look at the back in 1913. Look at the time era that they established what is called the IRS today friends. It was while everybody was celebrating.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): What about Obamacare? Which by the way, was called the American Healthcare Act under Donald Trump. They didn't change the program friends. They just changed the name.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And if you didn't know it all started out under Romney care, but while people were on break celebrating holidays, guess what? The corrupt in the halls of government again, those that were pulling the strings were doing their best to undermine the American people. And it's exactly what they're doing today. I want to show something to you really quick.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): And then we're going to get to the other side of this and the other side of this. We're going to be talking about the unsung heroes of the revolution, the Black-Robed Regiment. We call them the Gideon's of the day, the sons of thunder. Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): I said that during the beginning of the show. Do forgive me. I was just quoting Reverend Charles Finney. He said that if Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, he said the church is responsible for it. The pulpit is responsible for it. How can it be otherwise?

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Let us go back, by contrast, to our forefathers and those unsung heroes. I want you to listen carefully, friends, because I am going to identify them from historians and from preachers themselves during that particular time. You are going to see that there is a black-and-white difference today on so many fronts.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Bishop Charles Galloway said in 1898, "Mighty men they were, of iron nerve and strong hand, unblanched cheek, and heart aflame. God needed not reeds shaken by the wind, not men clothed in soft raiment," Matthew 11:7-8, "but heroes of hardihood and lofty courage. Such were the sons of the mighty who responded to the divine call."

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Folks, I could stop and address each one of these. You know what I get to see in the halls of government today? I get to see a handful of individuals who claim to be the good guys. They sell themselves to the people as the good guys, as the ones who will get the job done. Once they get into office, what do they do? They become part of the problem. They fail to stand up against what they complain about.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Historian B. F. Morris said in 1864, "The ministers of the Revolution were like their Puritan predecessors, bold and fearless in the cause of their country. No class of men contributed more to carrying forward the Revolution and to achieving our independence than did the ministers. By their prayers, patriotic sermons, and services, they rendered the highest assistance to the civil government, the army, and the country."

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): If you look at Scripture, that is exactly how justice is supposed to work. The judges went to the priests during the Levitical order to bring about justice. The judges asked the priests what God's law mandated concerning His statutes when they went forward in bringing justice upon the heads of the guilty. That is the order. The institution of government in America, friends, is established by the living God. Exodus 18:21 and 25.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): By their prayers, patriotic sermons, and services, they rendered the highest assistance to the civil government, the army, and the country. How unlike what we see today. "Well, we had better not preach out against what is going on out there because there are lines between church and state." Friends, what is radical is what Americans tolerate.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Historian Alice Baldwin said in 1918, "The Constitutional Convention and the written Constitution were the children of the pulpit." Friends, I could cry. How ignorant the American people have become today. The Constitutional Convention and the written Constitution were the children of the pulpit.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): For the new listener, after Dr. D. James Kennedy passed away, I began telling the story of the time I spent with him. He was the founder of the world-renowned Coral Ridge Ministries, known for being a beacon of light in a dark place during the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s in America.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): I had about a half hour to spend with him. We flew from Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale. When we got there, he was doing television, and we were taping portions of my work, which is available on SonsOfLibertyMedia.com. He was in that, and we had time to interview him.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): On the way out, Dr. Kennedy followed me. I was standing there looking at a map showing all the places where he was preaching. Folks, it was hard to see the states. It was hard to make distinctions because there were so many pins showing where he was on radio and television. He came out and said, "Bradlee, what are you looking at?" I said, "I'm looking at your map, and I feel ashamed. I was only thirteen years in the Lord during that particular time." He said, "Well, that is forty-two years of ministry."

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): That made me feel a little better, but then he added a little insult to injury, at least to my feelings. He said, "Bradlee, just think: that is just America. I preach to the churches all over the world. Not only do I preach to America every day, but I also preach to military ships worldwide."

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): That man came out, stood there, and had a conversation with me. The more I tried to get out of his hair, the more he stayed with me. I walked out to the parking lot, and he came out to the parking lot. We stood there for two hours, and he poured into me. He pointed over at the high school at Coral Ridge and said, "You know that school right there? I started that for my daughter. Now it is a middle school and a high school." He said, "Bradlee, this is why I did what I did: for his posterity, just like our forefathers did for their posterity. That is me and you."

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): He told me a story. He said, "Bradlee, it is interesting. I was doing a church event, a conference for church leaders from all over the world. They came into Florida to my church conference. During that particular time, an individual from overseas came up to me and noticed that my church was being protested." Protestant has meaning. We are to be on the offensive, not on the defensive. Dr. D. James Kennedy understood this.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): That individual approached him and said, "Dr. Kennedy, why is your church being protested?" His church was being protested because there were paid provocateurs outside protesting him because he was standing up against something called gay marriage, which has never been in the history of mankind. Dr. D. James Kennedy, in his spiritual understanding, looked at him and said, "You mean your church isn't being protested?"

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): After he told me that story, he looked at me and said, "Bradlee, do you know that I have to get on television every weekend and ask why three to four thousand babies are murdered in the womb every day while over 300,000 pulpits in this country remain silent in the face of those murdering innocent babies?" It was like he was handing me the baton.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Shortly thereafter, Dr. D. James Kennedy died. His family called me, and I ended up preaching to his congregation not just once, not just twice, but three times. What was really awesome about that blessing, friends, is that when he was handing off the baton, I also did that high school and that middle school. Little did I know that the Lord was handing that to me.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Folks, out of what I see in this country, I know of two ministries, maybe three, that are legitimate in their calls. I am talking about those you know of. I am not talking about those in the corner. Many churches throughout the United States are legitimate, but not necessarily the popular ones. Remember what Charles Spurgeon said: "The church that the world loves the most, God hates the most." That which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Speaker 2 (Bradlee Dean): Folks, take your time, do your due diligence, and take heed to what I said. What you see in the pulpits today, for the most part, is not at all what it took to get us to where we are today. So if we are going to celebrate, let us worship God in obedience and get busy, because we have a country to save so our children can talk of us the same way we talk of the Black-Robed Regiment.
