On your own, how is that working out for you? What does it look like when God's statutes are lowered and man's rules are put in their place?
Leviticus 24:17 says, "If a man takes the life of any human being, he shall most certainly be put to death." How is it that America has what the program describes as a 74 percent recidivism rate, with released criminals repeating their crimes? It is true: soft judges produce hardened criminals.
Why do Americans allow their so-called representative government to wait until three crimes have been committed - the so-called three-strikes approach - before imposing harsher sentences? Why do Americans allow their government to claim it is rehabilitating criminals inside prison while entertainment, television, music, movies, and video games continue instructing the young in how crimes are committed outside prison? Can we say hypocrisy?
Cruz reportedly told authorities that he went on a four-day crime spree based on the 2013 film The Purge. That spree resulted in three consecutive life sentences for murder after he entered a guilty plea to avoid the death penalty. When crimes are committed, offenders are placed into a prison system where they may be further molded and instructed in other crimes.
Did you know that what are called correctional institutions in America are said to make 64 billion dollars a year? Quite the money-maker, is it not? Can we say a system of indulgence? Why is there no fear of God showing people the consequences that deter crime before it is committed? Why is a Bible given to criminals after they enter prison rather than before they offend God and man? After all, prevention is better than cure. It sounds as if crime rather than justice is the goal.
Is this what the Lord warned about in Mark 7:8-9? "You disregard and neglect the commandment of God and cling faithfully to the tradition of men. You are experts at setting aside and nullifying the commandment of God in order to keep your man-made tradition and regulations." Although the immediate subject was ceremonial law, it would be prudent to consider how the warning also applies to moral laws, statutes, and judgments.
Deuteronomy 4:5-8 says: "Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land whether you go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon Him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?"
Maybe this explains why there are so many repeat offenders and why so many criminals mock both the law and the Lord. How could it be otherwise when God's commandments are made void and man's commandments are put in their place?
Consider this: a mall shooter receives 90 consecutive sentences for murdering 23 people, while another repeat criminal receives a 244-year sentence. The Bible speaks of seventy or eighty years by reason of strength, so what is the meaning of hundreds of years in prison? The program argues that these sentences make a mockery of justice when they are used as substitutes for the punishment the host believes Scripture requires. Without justice, there will be no peace.
Many criminals admit that, if they were freed, they would commit the crimes again. The following clip presents a murder suspect who had reportedly warned that he would not stop killing.

Again, how could it be otherwise when there are no consequences that deter people from committing crimes?
Did you know that violating an oath of office is a federal crime? Violating an oath of office or employment may invoke administrative removal, civil penalties, or criminal prosecution under federal statutes. In the context of federal employees, the program refers to 5 U.S.C. 711, loyalty and striking requirements, and Executive Order 10450 as requiring removal of individuals who advocate the overthrow of government or belong to organizations that do so. In other words, public officials are there to uphold the law, not tear it down.
Why is it that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and venerated festival returns on the Fourth of July? Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? - John Quincy Adams, Independence Day address.

Hello, friends, as well as a few enemies, scoffers, atheists, skeptics, lunatics, weirdos, and assorted bad guys. And, of course, all of you good guys and girls out there, welcome to the Sons of Liberty. You have with you yours truly, Mr. Bradley Dean.
Folks, I want to talk about something today that was sparked by a conversation I had with an individual. This is someone I thought was pretty sound over the years, but he threw something at me that I did not expect. He said, "When Jesus said, Love your neighbor as yourself, He did not mean unless they are undocumented."
I respectfully replied, "Sir, they are not undocumented. They are here illegally." That statement caused me to think about how the American people have lost touch with who they are, or at least who they claim to be, when it comes to their Christian faith.
Jesus never abrogated, diminished, mitigated, or abolished the law of God. He came to fulfill the law of God. I am speaking of the moral law and distinguishing it from ceremonial law. Galatians 3:24 describes the law, in the hand of Christ, as a schoolmaster bringing men unto Him. If you want an example, go to John 8 and consider the woman caught in adultery. Grace was extended to her, but Jesus also said in verse 11, "Go and sin no more."
There is no life in violating God's moral law. The Bible is clear that the wages of sin is death, and sin is the transgression of God's law. Consider the point I am making: Jesus manifested Himself to destroy the works of the devil, not to give leniency to them. Not one jot or tittle shall pass away until all is fulfilled. Christ fulfilled the law, and Romans 3:31 says the church establishes the law through faith.
Romans 15 describes Jesus Christ as a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God. I bring this up because people do not take the time to understand the distinction between obedience and what they dismiss as legalism.
People immediately say, "Bradley, you are establishing legalism." You will not find that word used in the same modern, dismissive way in an unrevised dictionary such as Webster's 1828 edition. At that time, it was called obedience. That is how confused and conditioned people have become.
I also want to say that this is not a diabolical fear. I do not serve God because I am afraid that, if I do not, He will punish me. I already deserve judgment. I see what the Father did through the Son, and out of gratitude - which has been called the mother of holiness - I serve Him who died for me, as 2 Corinthians 5:15 says. It is not a diabolical fear; it is gratitude. It is not legalism; it is obedience.
Let me ask you a simple question. When you obeyed your parents as children and loved your parents, did you obey them only because you had to? When people saw you obeying your parents, did they call you legalistic, or did they understand that you obeyed because you loved them? There is a big difference.
People are so confused that they do not know their left hand from their right. The Lord did not give us His law because He hated us. He gave us His law because He loved us. How many people complain about man's ten thousand commandments? The easy answer is to get back to God's Ten Commandments.
Let me return to the original statement: "When Jesus said, Love your neighbor as yourself, He did not mean unless they are undocumented." Again, I replied that they are not undocumented; they are here illegally. If they are here illegally, the law must address the violation. Try entering their country illegally and see how it works out for you. Their government will enforce its law, a law Jesus never abrogated.
What fulfills the law? Matthew 22:37 gives the answer: love. If I love the Lord my God, the first tablet teaches me how to love God: have no other gods before Him, make no graven images, do not take His name in vain, and remember the Sabbath day. The command to honor father and mother forms the pivot. The second tablet teaches how to love my neighbor: do not murder, commit adultery, steal, lie, or covet. That is how I love my neighbor - by doing unto others as I would have them do unto me. Romans 13 gives a fuller exposition.
How lawless has society become when people say that loving our neighbors requires us to abrogate the law? No. Consider Luke 11:42, where Jesus pronounced woe upon the Pharisees, the religious hypocrites who claimed to be children of God. He said judgment was coming because they carefully tithed mint, rue, and every garden herb while neglecting justice and the love of God. He said those were things they should have done without neglecting the others.
Let me say it slowly: it is ridiculous to overlook judgment in the name of kindness, because then love wounds itself by killing justice. We do not lower the law. We raise the standard, and Christ is the fulfillment of the law. Acts 17:31 presents Him as the standard of judgment. We will not be judged on a curve, and He will not lower the standard to accommodate our preferences.

Welcome back to the Sons of Liberty. I want to show you something from an educational piece I produced called The System of Indulgence and No Justice.
Because the American people have accepted a lawless society and allowed a lawless system to develop, it has taken over society. When you look at the condition of a nation that has forsaken God, you can see the fruit: we sow to the wind and reap the whirlwind. It is a sad state, but that is where America is today.
The video I played before the outset of the program argues that the system is not about justice; it is a system of indulgence. I keep repeating that this system reflects what the American people tolerate. Courts and judges do not have authority to invent what the law says. Under our form of government, authority is delegated to them. They work for the people and are supposed to act in adherence to the law and, in my view, to God's commandments, because He is the giver of rights.
Charles de Montesquieu said, "Liberty is the right to do what the law permits." What happens when the commandments of the Lord are made void and judgments are no longer made according to His statutes? Judgment falls to carnal man, and the cruelty of the wicked produces injustice.
We now see young people enter schools, kill children, go into court, insult grieving parents, and laugh because they believe the legal system will do little more than slap them on the wrist. How different will that attitude be at judgment day, when the Lord judges every idle thought and word? We will answer for what we do and for what we fail to do.
We fail when we refuse to enforce the law, uphold God's statutes, and bring judgment against conduct the law condemns. The purpose is that people might know righteousness and peace. Criminals in prison receive rooms, three meals a day, sports, gymnasiums, weight rooms, re-education centers, and support paid for by taxpayers. Some receive book and movie deals and are glorified in popular culture.
The narrator describes seeing a woman wearing Jeffrey Dahmer earrings while seeking more morbid details about his murders. The program presents this as evidence of what happens when God's statutes are set aside and society does things man's way.
Charles Spurgeon is quoted as saying, "Lower the law, and you dim the light by which man perceives his own guilt." Romans 1:24 says God gave them over to the lusts of their own hearts and the impurity that dishonored their bodies. Verses 25 and 26 say they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.
The law of God is presented as a warning that shows people what to avoid for their own good. The host argues that, over many decades, Americans have allowed judges to become softer on crime, thereby producing repeat offenders and what he describes as a 74 percent recidivism rate. He says the United States now has one of the world's highest incarceration rates because soft judges produce hardened criminals, while judges who enforce the law deter rather than encourage crime.

I can see you smiling and laughing, but to her this is not funny. I went in there with other humans and took her out. If I had not, she would not be with me right now. She would be gone, just like all of her sisters and everyone we left behind.

The phone lines are open at 281-845-4704. Let me return to the video. I am showing you, step by step, what happens to a society when children grow up without the fear of God that previous generations possessed.
John Wesley said, "What one generation tolerates, the next will embrace." J. C. Ryle similarly warned that when one generation tolerates sin - the violation of God's moral law, as 1 John 3:4 defines it - the next generation will celebrate it.
The host cites earlier laws concerning homosexual conduct and earlier medical classifications, then argues that later generations began celebrating what previous generations condemned. He presents this as the result of allowing society, rather than parents and Scripture, to raise children. He says this is the spirit of the world, not the Spirit of God, and quotes the proverb that sin is a reproach to any nation.
Let us return to the woman in the restaurant. She begins to cry and says the rescued chicken's name is Snow.

You might think she was pleading for children being murdered in America, but she was not. In this worldview, human beings become the problem. The host presents this as the fruit of a lawless society and says that God gives people over to a reprobate mind - a mind abandoned to sin.
The activist says the chickens deserve life and that their eggs, milk, and bodies are on plates in the restaurant. She tells diners to remember Snow whenever they see someone eating another being's eggs or body and says, "This is not food; it is violence." The host responds that the activists are trying to incriminate people who eat chicken.
He then connects this to a communist mindset, describing communism as a godless society in which the state rules the roost. He argues there is no neutral middle ground: people are either under the Lord or under the world. Psalm 9:16-17 says the Lord is known by the judgment He executes, the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands, and the nations that forget God are turned into hell.
The next clip comes from a wooded area in North Carolina. The host says an environmental group is mourning trees that have been cut down.

Participant: Tell them that we love them and that we do not want them to die. There are people here who do care.

They are crying on behalf of trees. The host says America is deeply hurting and craving answers because it has lost its identity and allowed man to redefine who people are.
He then turns to claims about Minnesota policies concerning children who identify as another gender. Dean alleges that the state may intervene when parents refuse to affirm a child's chosen identity and may move the child into another jurisdiction or foster care. He presents this as another consequence of departing from the Lord and removing moral law, which he says is always for people's good.
The restaurant activist described humans as the problem. The environmental protesters likewise describe human beings as the problem. Dean asks what ideology lies behind that outlook and says human beings become the target when churches and government fail to uphold the law.
He repeats the warning, "Be killing sin, or sin will be killing you." He says there is no middle ground. In his view, same-sex marriage is not merely about private relationships; it is used by government as a political battering ram to upend established moral and legal norms and allow arbitrary rule.
He then refers to a woman who, in 2007, reportedly married the Eiffel Tower and changed her name from Erika LaBrie to Erika Eiffel. He also references people who claim relationships with bridges or other objects. He presents these examples as evidence that a lawless society loses every boundary.
The host next refers to a male corrections officer who identified as female and was reportedly arrested after 13 inmates became pregnant. He says the government expects the public to identify the officer as a woman. He cites Genesis 5:2, which says God created humanity male and female, and asks what it will take for Americans to stand up and act.
Dean argues that the condition has worsened during the listeners' lifetimes and that tolerating injustice reflects a refusal to repent. He quotes Jesus' question, "Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" He then asks what conduct the American people will finally refuse to tolerate.

I am highlighting what the American people are responsible for. Like Jeremiah and Jesus, the prophets and teachers of Scripture spoke boldly in the face of danger. They told people what they were responsible for and what they were guilty of. How did the people respond? Often, they said nothing.
This is the fruit of what the American people tolerate. Every country deserves the government it has when the people refuse to enforce laws already on the books. Look at what has happened because of the lack of enforcement.
People say, "Bradley, you are judging." Do not twist Scripture the way Satan twisted Scripture. Matthew 7 says, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Why beholdest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
Who was Jesus addressing? The self-righteous Pharisees who had not repented. He continued: "How wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Jesus was saying, in effect, practice what you preach. He was not abolishing judgment. Verse 6 immediately says, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine." That requires distinction between right and wrong, good and evil. Ezekiel 44:23 says God's ministers are to teach the difference between holy and profane. Deuteronomy 4:6 says righteous judgment in the sight of the nations is wisdom.
The host argues that many Americans have listened to unconverted hirelings in pulpits for decades. Christ and God's moral law are the standard, and Christ fulfilled that law.
The next video concerns an individual in Minnesota. The transcript identifies him as Tou Lue Vang, spelling uncertain. According to the clip, he received 30 years of probation for child-sex offenses, had a removal order dating from 2006, and was eventually deported. The host then plays a news clip in which Governor Tim Walz is asked about the deportation.

News Reporter: Speaking to the news media today, the governor was asked about the 42-year-old father's recent deportation.
Governor Tim Walz: Did that make us any safer? Did that make the children who were left behind any more stable? We cannot all be judged by our worst day.

The host asks why the governor wanted the man to remain in the United States and interprets the comments as anger over the deportation. Dean argues that justice against a person who violated children does make people safer and rejects the comparison between a child-sex offense and an ordinary person's "worst day."
He says that prisons are man-made institutions rather than a system established in Scripture. In his view, God's statutes require justice once a case is proven, while the people are responsible for condemning the guilty and justifying the innocent. He describes the governor's response as another stage in the digression of a lawless society.
Dean then moves to examples involving officials who seek special treatment. The first is a Nevada traffic stop involving Governor Lombardo. The host says the governor responded, "Come on, man," after being stopped for a red-light violation and that the officer allowed him to leave without a citation.

Governor: Good.
Police Officer: The reason I am stopping you is for the red-light violation back there.
Governor: I am aware.
Police Officer: You went through a red light. You are good to go, sir.

Las Vegas police body-camera video shows an officer stopping Governor Lombardo for a suspected red-light violation. The governor says, "Come on, man," and the officer lets him go. Dean argues that this strengthens tyranny by teaching officials that they are above the law.
The law applies to every person. A false balance is an abomination. Dean says the purpose of government is to condemn the wicked, justify the righteous, maintain order, and stop transgression.
The next example comes from Tampa and involves Police Chief Mary O'Connor, who was stopped with her husband while riding in a golf cart without a license plate.

News Anchor: Tampa's top cop is out just ten months after being selected for the job. Mayor Jane Castor today asked for and received Police Chief Mary O'Connor's resignation. This follows video showing O'Connor asking for special treatment during a traffic stop. She and her husband were stopped for not having a license plate on their golf cart. O'Connor displayed her badge and told a Pinellas County deputy that she was Tampa's police chief.
Reporter: Fox 13's Evan Axelbank now looks at what comes next. The mayor said she had no regrets about selecting Mary O'Connor as police chief, even though O'Connor's record as an officer was not spotless. The city is about to conduct its second national search for a police chief in two years.

News Anchor: Tampa's top cop is out just ten months after being selected. Mayor Jane Castor asked for and received Police Chief Mary O'Connor's resignation after video showed O'Connor asking for special treatment during a traffic stop. She and her husband were stopped for not having a license plate on their golf cart. O'Connor displayed her badge and told a Pinellas County deputy she was Tampa's chief of police.

Mary O'Connor: I am doing good. I am hoping you will let us go tonight. I am the police chief in Tampa. If you ever need anything, call me.
Reporter: The mayor described her response as disappointment rather than betrayal. Castor had given O'Connor a second chance after a contentious selection process that highlighted her leadership skills but also a 1995 arrest. O'Connor had been fired and later reinstated after an altercation with an officer during a traffic stop.
Mayor Jane Castor: I think she was a good choice, and I provide those second chances. You can never know what decisions individuals will make down the road, and clearly she made a very poor decision.
Reporter: O'Connor said in her resignation letter that she resigned with great sadness and did not want her personal mistake to stand in the way of progress in relationships between the department and the community. An internal-affairs review completed in four days found that the chief violated standards of conduct and abused her position. She said she identified herself in the interest of officer safety.

Do you see what happened? She said, "I am the chief of police. I hope you will let us go this evening." Afterward, she gave the officer a card and said, "If you need anything, let me know." They were exchanging favors.
What Tampa did afterward was right. Good for the people who refused to tolerate the abuse. This is the kind of accountability that is missing in many places.

Reporter: The former chief said the contact was not intended to seek preferential treatment. The mayor said the city would conduct a nationwide search for a new chief, involve the community and city council, and allow the public to meet the candidates. Interim Chief Lee Bercaw indicated that he would be interested in the permanent position, but said his present focus was providing leadership to officers.

The next video is even more infuriating. It involves a Lancaster County president judge during a traffic stop. The officer reportedly saw the judge driving too fast and pulled him over. The opening audio is largely unintelligible, but the judge gets out of his car, which is dangerous in itself, and confronts the officer.

Judge: What do you think you are doing, pulling me over for blowing my horn?
Police Officer: Sir, go back into your car. I will be with you in a second.
Judge: You had better check the registration on this plate, son.

This is what we are dealing with: the law applies to the peasants but not to the barons. The officer initially appears to do his job, and Dean says judgment must be impartial regardless of a person's position. Then the officer lets the judge leave without consequences. The host corrects his initial reaction and says the officer did not enforce the law after all.
You cannot make this up. This is the digression. Where did it begin? It begins at the top, because officials compromise the standard. What starts at the top works its way to the bottom.
Societies and republics are destroyed when people refuse to hold their representative government accountable to the law it is supposed to uphold. The next clip concerns Canada and a measure described in the program as Bill C-9.

News Voice: Parliament has passed what critics call the Bible-ban bill, known as C-9. A final attempt to stop the bill was defeated. Critics say the measure threatens criminal penalties for quoting portions of the Bible, including passages addressing homosexuality.

That is all you need to hear from the clip. Dean argues that corrupt agencies install morally compromised or easily controlled people into government positions and then use them collectively against those who uphold biblical standards. He invokes Benito Mussolini's statement about controlling scoundrels and references 1 Kings 13:33.
Either people enforce the law against wickedness, or wickedness eventually condemns those who are lawful. There is no neutral fence, and if there were, Satan would own it.
Dean quotes a statement he saw that morning: when the offense of the cross ceases and the rage of its enemies abates, it may be because the righteous have allowed the unrighteous to rule. A quiet society can experience a false peace when the devil becomes the doorkeeper of the church and the pure doctrine of God's Word and law have been lost.
Proverbs 13:13 says, "Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded." There is no gray area and no neutral position. America must be under the Lord and His law.
Do not say that the law is opposed to love. Love does not remove the law. If you love your children, you protect them from people who would make them prey by enforcing the law against predators. Proverbs says the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
The host points to child-sex offenders who have been released and become repeat offenders. He says public outrage is growing and that cruelty swells the ranks of those who will no longer tolerate it. He warns that people may take justice into their own hands when courts refuse to act, while insisting that the people, not corrupt judges or activists, are ultimately responsible for the law in a republic.
Dean refers to the Epstein files and asks who has been brought to justice. He says no one has, and warns Americans that continued inaction empowers wrongdoers to destroy the country, its people, and their posterity.
I asked earlier: what will you no longer tolerate? That is what I leave you with today. What will you refuse to accept in this society? How is the lawless society working out for you? How is it working to turn your back on the living God and revolt against the One who bestowed upon you the right to be free in the first place?
