Paul Thea is making documentaries about Slave Trade in Guinea and writing a book about it!

Through his films featuring victims and their families, Paul Théa has long been involved in telling the stories of the horrors of Guinea's Camp Boiro. He has recently started a project documenting the slave route from where slaves were captured in the coastal regions of Guinea to their final destination in North America.

Biography:

Born in Guinea, Paul has a rich knowledge of the history and culture of his homeland. He has lived in France since the early 1980s but has maintained a loving connection with his West African roots ever since. He operated a travel and tourism business and opened a vocational training school in Guinea using all of the wisdom from his degree in Economics from University of Montpellier (in France!). Paul has a passion for communications and cinematography and is hard at work on a historical documentary.

His father worked at a Guinean radio station - that's where his passion for radio comes from. Paul is a radio and TV host, and has been featuring African culture for decades.
