E254 How To Have God's Life Living In You Part 152

Receiving the Spirit: Faith, Healing, Persecution, and the Whole Word of God

Summary

The Whole Word of God
Tony Alamo opens the program by identifying it as part 152 of his teaching series and says listeners can receive free copies of the material. He argues that Christians should know how to resist evil and presents his interpretation of biblical passages concerning Rome, the Antichrist, the scarlet beast, and the Vatican. He also contends that important ancient religious writings were withheld from the commonly accepted Bible. He refers to writings attributed to Adam and Eve, Seth, Noah, Enoch, Jasher, Solomon, and others, and encourages listeners to judge those texts by whether they believe the Holy Spirit confirms them. Throughout this section, his claims about religious institutions and biblical canon are presented as his theological interpretation rather than independently established facts.

Faith, Love, and Relationship With God
Alamo connects faith with a personal, intimate relationship with God. He compares the Christian relationship with the Lord to the closeness of marriage and describes believers as members of the bride of Christ. He says people who love God will want to pray, hear more of God's Word, and remain close to Him. He also argues that spiritual discernment grows through continued exposure to Scripture. The program repeatedly returns to the idea that faith is not merely intellectual agreement but an active, ongoing relationship with God.

Healing, Miracles, and the Spirit
A large portion of the sermon focuses on healing, miracles, and what Alamo describes as the continuing work of the Spirit of God. He recounts a story about a woman who was believed to have cancer and says that after prayer, a later medical report described the remaining finding as very small and benign. He interprets this as a miracle and links it to biblical accounts of Jesus healing the sick, opening blind eyes, restoring hearing, healing paralysis, casting out devils, and raising the dead. Alamo teaches that faith grows by hearing the Word of God and that believers should expect spiritual signs to follow genuine faith. These healing claims are presented as Alamo's testimony and religious interpretation, not as independently verified medical conclusions.

Resurrection, Judgment, and Salvation
Alamo describes his understanding of spiritual rebirth, bodily resurrection, judgment, heaven, hell, and eternal life. He says believers are first resurrected spiritually when they receive the gospel and will later be physically raised at the final resurrection. He teaches that the Spirit of Christ is essential to salvation and that preachers and teachers are sent into the world to bring the gospel to all nations and languages. He contrasts this with what he calls worldly living, seducing spirits, strong delusion, and the Antichrist system. The segment culminates in a spoken salvation prayer inviting listeners to confess belief in Jesus Christ, ask forgiveness, and receive the Lord into their hearts.

Persecution, Media, and Political Allegations
The program shifts into an extended discussion of persecution, government actions, Waco, the media, the Vatican, and one-world-government claims. Alamo says true Christians should expect persecution and describes accusations against himself and others as part of a coordinated effort to silence religious voices. He makes numerous allegations involving David Koresh, Waco, federal agencies, the Oklahoma City bombing, the World Trade Center, the Vatican, media organizations, and political leaders. He also discusses his own arrests, imprisonment, and accusations that he says were false. Because these statements involve serious political, historical, and criminal allegations, they are preserved as the speaker's claims and interpretations rather than treated as established fact.

Letters, Solomon's Writings, and the Closing Appeal
Near the end, Sharon reads listener correspondence from India and Ghana requesting more religious literature and Bibles. She then reads passages attributed to King Solomon beginning with “Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth,” while Alamo comments on righteous judgment, simplicity of heart, trust in God, and the meaning of “froward” thoughts. Alamo closes by urging listeners to receive God's Spirit, warning against what he views as false doctrine, and leading a salvation prayer. Sharon provides several ways to request copies of the program, including a website, mailing address, phone number, and fax number. The episode ends with a musical performance of “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho,” though the automated transcript preserves only the recognizable refrain clearly enough for publication.

Speaker Identification

Speaker 1 - Tony Alamo / Host and Preacher
The speaker explicitly identifies himself as Tony Alamo at the beginning of the program. He delivers the sermon, prayer, commentary, transitions, personal claims, and closing salvation invitation.

Speaker 2 - Sharon / Reader and Program Assistant
Tony Alamo addresses Sharon by name and asks her to read material and provide the closing contact information. She appears to read listener correspondence, portions attributed to King Solomon, and the program's contact details. Some turn-taking in these sections is not perfectly clear in the automated transcript, so attribution is based on the surrounding cues.

Speaker 3 - Musical Performers / Tony Alamo with the Stamps
Tony Alamo introduces two musical performances involving himself and the Stamps. The accompanying name is transcribed inconsistently and is listed below for verification. The automated transcript does not preserve intelligible lyrics for the first song and preserves only portions of the second.

Speaker 1:
Hello again. This is World Pastor Tony Alamo. We're in part 152 of How to Have God's Life Living in You, and this is program 254. If you'd like a copy of it, listen at the end of the program and Sharon will tell you four different ways to receive it. Each page, as well as the CD or an audio tape, will be absolutely free to you. God gave me salvation free of charge, and it didn't cost me a penny. I believe in getting the gospel out to the world and telling people about the Antichrist.

Speaker 1:
The Lord says for us to resist the devil, but how can we know how to resist the devil if we don't know where the devil is sitting? The Bible says he sits in Rome. The devil sits right in the city of the seven hills or mountains. If you ask a travel agency for a ticket to the city of the seven hills, they'll give you a ticket to Rome, Italy. So that is more than a clue. It tells you, according to what I'm preaching, exactly where Satan's seat is: in the city of the seven hills or mountains. Some people call them hills; some people call them mountains.

Speaker 1:
Also, we know that it controls the [unclear organization name] or the World Council of Churches, and it says that this great whore, this false prophet from Rome, sits or rides on the back of this scarlet-colored beast. It's scarlet in color, and this whore is arrayed in scarlet and purple and drinks out of a golden goblet. These are all definitions, as I interpret them, of what the Vatican is.

Speaker 1:
You might get angry at me for telling you what I say the Bible says, but how can you be angry at God when He's warning you and giving you warnings on how to stay out of hell and the lake of fire for eternity? I give you these messages because a lot of people haven't got the chutzpah to tell you these things.

Speaker 1:
Also, what's so bad about the Vatican, according to what I'm telling you, is that it withheld several books from the Bible. They put other books in their Bible and withheld writings of several prophets, including a couple of books from Solomon that they did not put in. They left out the Book of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve wrote a book, and so did Noah, according to what I believe. You can't find those books just anywhere, but I had a friend in the Vatican who gave me copies of what I call these withheld books from the Bible.

Speaker 1:
The Bible says that we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the living God. Some people say you're not to add unto the Bible. Well, the problem, as I see it, is that people don't have the whole Bible. [Unclear phrase in original transcript.] When you hear about different books, there are a bunch of phony books for sure. But if you're really from the Lord, you have discernment. You can feel the Holy Spirit in the Scriptures.

Speaker 1:
I'll read a few of them to you so you can discern in your spirit whether there's any contradiction to the Word of God that you know. If I were to read some of the Book of Adam and Eve, you would be floored. In it, as I read it, God says He's going to come to Earth because Adam and Eve were afraid they were going to hell. The Lord promised them that He was going to come to Earth as a man and shed His blood for the remission of sins. According to this account, Adam and Eve wrote before Moses ever wrote one word.

Speaker 1:
Seth also wrote a book, and Enoch wrote three books, according to these writings. It's sad, in my view, that the world has been deprived and deceived into thinking that Genesis through Revelation is all there is. You can judge for yourself, because from time to time I'm going to read a few of those things. You don't have to receive it if you don't want to, but I suggest that you listen. I believe you'll be able to tell that it reinforces the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

Speaker 1:
The books of Enoch are fabulous. The Book of Adam and Eve is fabulous. The Book of Noah is fabulous. I believe they were preserved by Noah on the ark when the flood came, including the books of Enoch and Adam and Eve. I have those books, and I say the Vatican has them as well. I believe they don't want you to know the whole Bible. The Lord said it's the great red dragon, the devil, seated there in Rome.

Speaker 1:
They say they have the bones of Peter and say that he was the first pope. I say this is not true. Peter was a Jew and a married man. It talks about Jesus going into Peter's house and laying hands on his mother-in-law. Read that. If he had a mother-in-law, Peter had a wife.

Speaker 1:
When the Lord told Peter, “I give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven,” I understand that to mean entry into the kingdom of heaven because Peter believed that Jesus is the Son of the living God. You have the keys to the kingdom of heaven as well if you believe in the whole Word of God. The whole Word of God is Jesus. Amen.

Speaker 1:
Does that mean Peter is going to greet all of us when we get up there? No. It'll be Jesus there, not Saint Peter at the pearly gates like songwriters have written. People don't know the Word of God, and they make mock of it because they haven't read the Book of Adam and Eve, the Book of Seth, the Book of Noah, or the books of Enoch. They haven't read other writings that I believe belong with the Scriptures.

Speaker 1:
There are over a hundred places, I say, where things Enoch said are mentioned throughout the Old and New Testaments. The Bible says, “Are these things not written in the Book of Jasher?” But where's the Book of Jasher? I have the Book of Jasher. I say the Vatican has that book also and has withheld writings and taken away from the Scriptures.

Speaker 1:
That's why, according to my interpretation, their plagues are going to come down and their place will not be found in the kingdom of heaven. The Lord says, “Come out from among them, My people.” I know there are a lot of people in the Catholic Church who are saved and believe God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. But I say you've got to get out because there are so many false doctrines, and they're holding back the gospel, the whole Word of God, from the people of the world.

Speaker 1:
I've got a lot to say on this tape. Don't doubt that Adam and Eve were on this Earth. They were flesh and blood, according to what I believe. Adam was the smartest person who ever lived because he named the animals, the fish, and the flowers. I wonder if you could name 50 animals quickly. He named thousands of them. He was extremely smart because he used to sit and talk with the Lord.

Speaker 1:
A lot of people never get married because they've never met anybody they'd want to spend their life with. That's really something: when you want to stay close to somebody and spend your whole life with them because they're precious, wonderful, and irresistible. Not merely because they look good, but because you love them. You want to be close to them. You need to be close to them.

Speaker 1:
That's how I describe a Christian's relationship with the Lord. It's unlikely that you'll love heaven if you don't love the Lord. It's unlikely that you'll spend time praying to the Lord if you don't love the Lord. If you're a Christian, He's supposed to be your husband, and you are part of the bride, a member of the body of Christ, the bride of Christ. It's very unlikely that you'd like heaven if you don't like the Lord or if you're offended at His Word. The more of God's Word I hear, the more I like it.

Speaker 1:
One man from the Catholic Church put together the 66 books in the Bible, as I understand it. If you trust him rather than Solomon and Adam and Eve, remember that after Adam and Eve backslid, according to the writing I'm describing, they gave their eyewitness account of what happened. It says that Cain and Abel each had a twin sister. Back then, I say, there was no law because the law came many years later with Moses. The Bible says where there is no law, there is no transgression.

Speaker 1:
The transcript at this point contains a badly garbled sentence about the forbidden tree and a preacher's interpretation. What is clear is that I'm saying there are many heresies today and that people are able to get away with them because many people don't read the Bible. And even when they read the Bible, I say, they don't have the whole Bible. It's hard to print what I would call a full Bible because it would be so thick, with many books that I believe are missing.

Speaker 1:
Hopefully this has aroused your curiosity enough to want to hear some of it. I'm going to have Sharon read a little of it. You might hear this in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Write me, call me, or otherwise let me know whether you believe these writings are part of the Bible. I say that if you take away from the Bible, you're under the same condemnation I attribute to the Vatican.

Speaker 1:
In the Catholic Bible, there are additional books, including the Book of Wisdom and Maccabees, among others. I say those writings are Bible. If you have a King James Version, which I say is true, I still believe you're missing several books. The Catholic Bible also doesn't include the Book of Adam and Eve. They don't put it in there for you to read. I know a lot of Catholic people whom I believe are saved, but I say it's almost impossible to jar them out, even by reading the Bible and showing them what I regard as unscriptural doctrine.

Speaker 1:
Hopefully you'll receive what I'm presenting. From time to time, I'll read portions of these writings. I'd love to read the whole book to you, but I'm afraid I'd scare you away. If you have a heart with the Spirit of God in you, I believe that Spirit will tell you whether what I'm reading agrees with the Bible.

Speaker 1:
Father God, we ask that You'll open the eyes of the people in the world, that You'll open their spirits and their minds so they'll be able to receive what You have provided for them as the whole Word of God. Lord, as much as You want, I will bring this to them. I'm so happy, Lord, that You chose me out of all the people in this world to know the fullness of what it is that You want the world to know.

Speaker 1:
I pray, Lord, that through Your Spirit You'll lead them through me, because You've always dealt with the people of the world through people. It pleases You that the world would be saved by the foolishness of preaching the gospel. [A short clause about the preacher being sent and teaching is garbled in the source.] I'm not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not ashamed of the Word of God because it's the power of God unto salvation.

Speaker 1:
When I read in the Book of Adam and Eve, Father, I read that You're telling Adam You're going to come and give him an opportunity to be saved because You're going to come into the world as a man. You're actually living in many men now, such as myself, as I understand it. You're going to come into the world as a man and keep the law. You'll be tempted, but You won't receive the temptations. You'll tell the tempter to get hence.

Speaker 1:
Then You would live among the people, and they could actually see the man You're living in. We would know that this man is really You spiritually inside because everybody He laid hands on would be healed. He'd raise the dead and cast out devils. Therefore, we know, according to what I preach, that You and Your Spirit are in us because we do the same things.

Speaker 1:
Lord, I ask that You reveal this to everyone so souls will be saved and the church will be strengthened and receive these things, and not be ashamed to tell people. For a while, when I knew these things, I thought, “Oh no, they're not going to receive it.” But, Lord, as You told Ezekiel, You tell them whether they receive it or not. Some people may receive this merely as another book and say, “It's not the Bible.” If they want to believe that, they can. Lord, we ask that You save souls and strengthen the church, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Speaker 1:
Praise the Lord. Isn't that wonderful? Amen. We do have some letters, and we're going to read from a book that some of you may be familiar with. But right now I'd like to sing for you with J.D. Sumner [name requires verification] and the Stamps. He's described here as the world's deepest bass singer, and they used to sing with Elvis. They wouldn't sing with anybody, they said, but Elvis and myself. Here we are singing “I John.”

Speaker 3:
[Musical performance: “I John.” The automated transcript does not preserve intelligible lyrics for this performance and instead contains a long sequence of repeated numbers. The lyrics cannot be responsibly reconstructed from the provided transcript alone.]

Speaker 1:
Well, whoever wrote that song knew that chapter in the Book of Revelation. Amen. It talks about the New Jerusalem, where the body of Christ, the Church of God, the bride of Christ will be, and all of you out there are being invited right now to the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Speaker 1:
Many people in churches are self-righteous. They think they're self-righteous and don't need the Lord. They don't pray anymore. They don't read, witness, testify, or win souls. They go to church for reasons other than what I believe the Lord intended. Jesus was a witness. He witnessed to people and stayed close to the Father in heaven because He knew He needed that power to heal people, cast out devils, raise the dead, heal lepers, and heal people who had been paralyzed for years with palsy.

Speaker 1:
He would speak the words and they would rise up. They would no longer be paralyzed; they would get up. He'd tell them, “Take up your bed and go home.” Here was a person who could hardly lift his head. Four men had to lower him down through the roof. I wrote a piece of literature called Raising the Roof. They opened the roof and lowered him down because there was such a crowd in the house where Jesus was preaching or teaching.

Speaker 1:
They lowered him right down before Jesus. Jesus didn't get angry. He saw that the people had faith. With that kind of faith, He could raise the man up. Amen. So if you've got faith like a grain of mustard seed, I say you can speak to that mountain of paralysis or that mountain of cancer.

Speaker 1:
We recently prayed for a woman whom we were told had cancer. One person connected with the city council was very upset because her daughter was thought to have cancer in her bones. She asked us to pray because people in town were saying the reason she had cancer was because she was talking to us and going to the [organization name unclear in transcript] Christian Church.

Speaker 1:
I said, “Yes, we'll definitely pray for her.” I told them that if she believed the Lord had provided healing for her, she needed to receive what the Lord had already provided and reach out and accept it. According to the report I then received, when she went to the doctor, what had been seen had shrunk down, was very small, and was benign. I said there was no cancer there whatsoever. I called that a miracle. Amen.

Speaker 1:
The Bible says signs will follow those who believe. They'll lay hands on people and they'll recover. They'll pray for people and cast out devils. If you have somebody in your family who has a devil, believing the Scriptures is a big requirement. God has given every one of us a measure of faith, the same measure, but we have to read the Bible to develop that faith.

Speaker 1:
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. If we keep studying the Bible, the more we study it, the more we see things occurring in the world that we believe the Lord said would occur, and the more we see signs following us. That's how, I say, you know the Spirit of God is in you.

Speaker 1:
We can say to people, “Be healed,” or “Receive your healing,” but I say there's no virtue in us. It's got to be your faith. You've got to reach out. Jesus went into towns and healed people. Blind eyes were opened. People who couldn't hear had their ears opened. People were lame or paralyzed with palsy. He'd say, “Get up. Arise.” A little girl who was dead got up. He raised Lazarus from the dead. Amen.

Speaker 1:
I believe all these signs will follow because He's the same Jesus, with the Father by the Spirit that was in the human body of Jesus. He said that if that same Spirit dwells in you, then you're going to rise from the dead on the last day. I call that the second resurrection. I say we were first resurrected from our dead spirits when we received the gospel.

Speaker 1:
When we later die physically, I say it doesn't make any difference if our ashes have been scattered all over the world. I believe those ashes will come back and form the same body you were living in before, and the Spirit of Christ that was in you will be back in you. You'll resurrect for the second time, what I call the second resurrection, and then be brought to the final judgment because it's appointed unto man once to die.

Speaker 1:
Then, as I teach it, we go to a holding place. Either you go into paradise or to a holding place in the pit of hell. At the final judgment, death and hell are cast into the lake of fire. If you didn't get saved and didn't receive the Spirit of the Lord, and didn't have faith to do what the Lord says after you received Him, I say you'll be in hell. At the final judgment, everyone who is saved will be in heaven forever.

Speaker 1:
The human bodies we were living in will be changed to what the transcript renders as an “ecclesiastical body” [wording requires verification], because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven. The people who didn't receive what the Lord said but hated His Word will, according to my preaching, be sent to everlasting destruction.

Speaker 1:
Every true Christian is going to pray that doesn't happen to you. We pray that the Spirit of the Lord that's coming to you, [unclear phrase], and trying to convince you to get saved will reach you. The Bible says He has poured out His Spirit upon all flesh in the last days. The way the Lord goes about doing that, as I teach it, is by speaking through His preachers and teachers.

Speaker 1:
The Word of God is spirit and life. Preachers and teachers are required to go into the whole world, to all nations and languages, and preach this gospel so your soul can be saved and so you can be anointed with the Spirit of God. Jesus said the Word of God is spirit. He is the Word of God, and He is spirit and life. He said, “I am the resurrection, and I am the life.”

Speaker 1:
He also said that all power in heaven and on Earth belongs to Him. I take that to include the power to resurrect you from the dead, take you into heaven, or cast you into hell. If you're operating under any power other than the Lord, I say it is a spirit of deception, seducing spirits, and strong delusion.

Speaker 1:
If people reject the Lord, He says those who are not with Him are against Him. You could receive the Lord today and be with Him. Then He says to deny yourself. The gospel is not like some preachers say. Some preachers say, “Let's enjoy everyday life. I believe Jesus called us to enjoy ourselves.” But I say that isn't what the Lord or the Bible says.

Speaker 1:
This may irritate people who love earthly things, but the Lord says, “Love not the world.” For all that is in the world is lust: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. This may be too much for you to handle at one time. That's why I suggest you get a copy of this tape and listen again. As your spirit becomes more bold, you can receive a little more each time you hear it.

Speaker 1:
I believe much of what people have been taught is wrong because this world is being run by the Antichrist. The Bible says there are three unclean spirits that come out of the mouth of the great red dragon, the devil. One is the false prophet, which I identify with the spirit of Antichrist. One is the spirit of the beast. The other, in my interpretation, is the media. I say false words come through these forces, which I regard as the voice of Satan himself.

Speaker 1:
I believe Satan has been cast down to Earth and is full of wrath because he knows he's going to the lake of fire. That's why, I say, the corruption of the present day is a sign of the last days. People can put lies on the internet, and within seconds those lies can be told about Christians all over the world. People can say anything they want, including things about those of us who preach the gospel.

Speaker 1:
Who else would Satan be after but us? If you're sitting in a church that has never suffered persecution and no one speaks anything evil about you, I say you should wonder whether you're in the right church, because all who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Speaker 1:
And I'll tell you, we have several pieces of literature where government agents are confessing that they've persecuted us and that they were ordered by the Vatican to assassinate certain Christians, such as David Koresh, who was part of a branch of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. I know people who used to go there. I never knew him, but I ordered some of his tapes because I wanted to see what they were saying. The doctrine he was preaching was, in many ways, like what I preach and what I believe full-gospel Christian people preach.

Speaker 1:
He didn't believe in marrying somebody else's wife or having sex with somebody else's wife. I say the voice of the Vatican, the false prophet, was saying these things over the media to make you believe that he deserved to die, along with all those Christians over there. Then the government comes against people who, I say, never committed child abuse in their lives, while I hold the government responsible for the children who died at Waco and for children and families killed in wars.

Speaker 1:
You see little kids with their arms blown off. Some of them lived and wish they had died. Their eyes are put out, their legs are blown off, and they're crippled. You can imagine them asking, “Why did my mother get killed? I loved my mother, and she never did anything wrong. I loved Dad. He used to go to work and bring home food for us, and now we're out on the streets.”

Speaker 1:
This is what I say President Clinton was bragging about. I interpret his words as saying, “This will teach people to join cults,” as though the Vatican would blow you to bits if you didn't believe in its church. I'd say this is the worst, most dangerous cult in the whole world, because if you don't believe what I preach, I'm not going to send a bunch of goons over to blow you up. I'm going to shake the dust off my feet, like the Bible says, depart from you, and go preach the gospel to somebody else.

Speaker 1:
They said we still had to be over there because somewhere there were weapons of mass destruction, and then, as I say it, they proved there was nothing. What that has done is get people angry at us, and some want to blow us up. I'm not looking forward to being blown up, but I'm not worried about it in the same way because I'm saved. I believe the Lord would love to have me here telling people the truth because I'm not fearful and I'm not unbelieving.

Speaker 1:
Most of the world is unfaithful. They're fearful and unbelieving. They're not faithful to the Lord at all. They're more afraid of Satan than they are of the Lord. Jesus said don't be afraid of the one who can kill you; be afraid of the Lord, the One who can judge you and send your soul to hell and the lake of fire. He doesn't want you to be fearful. He wants you to have the Spirit of God in you just as it was in Him, and He wants you to go out and [unclear phrase] others like I am.

Speaker 1:
Everybody says I'm the only one out there telling people the truth. That's why, I say, some backsliders in my church told total lies because the government paid them to lie against me. They sent me to prison for four years, but let me tell you, I'm more afraid of the Lord than I am of them. They can come and send me to prison again for telling the truth about them.

Speaker 1:
I've told the truth about them, and they don't want to tell the truth about me, so they have to figure out lies. I can't think of much else they could say. They're passing out pictures of me being handcuffed and arrested in Tampa, Florida, with a tie-dye T-shirt on. But they don't tell you that there was a false accusation that I wanted to kidnap a federal judge. I went into court, and I say all 12 jurors stated that I was not guilty.

Speaker 1:
They don't put that on there. They just want to keep the story going. There were wanted posters out on me at that time, and they keep pushing that on people because, I say, Satan is in them and wants them to stop my voice. I describe Satan, the Vatican, and these Vatican puppets as part of a one-world conspiracy involving the three unclean spirits: the beast, the false prophet, and the news media. I call this the whole Antichrist system.

Speaker 1:
They said I was a child abuser, but I say we have newspaper headlines showing that charges were dropped or could not be sustained [exact wording in the source is unclear]. I say they knew the allegations were untrue but wanted to malign my name all over the world. I'm not going to cry about it. I count it all joy because the Lord says that if they persecuted Him, they're going to persecute you, and all who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. He says to count it all joy and leap for joy because they persecuted the prophets before you.

Speaker 1:
When I hear bad things about people in the media, I often immediately think, “There's somebody good, and they're trying to bury them.” They say all manner of things about you. In all the 42 years I've been in the ministry, most of these kinds of charges have come in the last few years. In the 72 years I've been alive, I say there was nothing in the records or law books accusing me of abusing a child or wanting to kidnap somebody before these recent accusations. Look at my record.

Speaker 1:
They're trying to say I was married to a bunch of women. Call the marriage bureaus in every town, village, and city and see. I was married three times to Susie Alamo. I said, “Susie, why should we have to get married?” I was just a baby Christian then. I said we knew the Lord had married us because He had shown both of us visions that we'd be married. From that marriage, I say, started the Jesus movement connected with our ministry.

Speaker 1:
Because of the exposés we've done on the Vatican, people send us CDs and DVDs containing accusations about priests molesting little children. They want me to put these things on the program. But there are so many thousands of these accounts, along with stories from people who say they were put in prison on false charges, that there wouldn't be enough time for me to preach the gospel if I put all the testimonials in.

Speaker 1:
We have books that I say show nuns marching with Nazi flags and priests with Nazi bands on their arms and flags, and people being pushed into ovens. I also make an allegation here about Pope John Paul II and IG Farben, saying he made gas that killed more than six million Jewish people, and I then state that more than 600 million other people were murdered. Those numerical and historical claims are retained as spoken and require independent verification if they are to be published as factual assertions outside the context of this transcript.

Speaker 1:
The media keeps putting people on asking, “Was there really a Holocaust?” I say they know better. There is too much evidence of the Holocaust, and we all know there was a World War II. I then return to Waco and say the government took part in what happened there. I again attribute statements to President Clinton that I interpret as saying that anybody who joins a church other than the Catholic Church will be attacked. I say they're getting pretty bold and that Satan is full of wrath.

Speaker 1:
People were saying to me, “Tony, you're going to be Waco too.” I prayed to the Lord about it. I believed the Lord told me to get off the ridge over there and split the church into several groups, opening churches in Chicago and New York, so they couldn't do to all of us at once what happened at Waco. I say only a few people got out of Waco, and some of them went to prison.

Speaker 1:
The next description in the automated transcript is heavily garbled. What can be discerned is this: I say there were four marshals, sheriffs, or FBI men; three of them went through a window on the roof; someone on their own side or nearby fired a burst of machine-gun fire; one bullet came out and struck a man in the helmet, knocking him out for a couple of seconds; and he then got up and went down the ladder. I say that incident was blamed on Koresh. I also say I have a copy of a film of it, that I sent it to the news media, and that none of them printed or aired it. The exact sequence requires verification from the audio.

Speaker 1:
I say the media will print only things that are against Christian churches because they want you to believe that one church is the one and only church. I call it brainwashing or “brain damaging.” The Pilgrims fled Europe because of people who persecuted Christians. If you believed in Jesus and the Bible, people could burn you at the stake, nail you to a cross, or feed you to the lions.

Speaker 1:
For us Christians, I say it's not too late. We can pray, and God will destroy evil. I've been praying to the Lord for years, and I claim I've seen people I regarded as persecutors drop dead from cancer, disease, and accidents. I also say the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department in Los Angeles used to come and raid our church, throw smoke bombs into our prayer room, and hold the door shut so the brothers, sisters, and children couldn't get out.

Speaker 1:
It goes on and on. I call this world government and the Vatican a sewer of corruption. I say the devil himself sits in the city of the seven mountains or hills. Don't believe what the media say. I call the Vatican the false prophet and the Antichrist, and I say it runs the government and rides on the back of the scarlet beast, telling that monster what to do.

Speaker 1:
I then accuse that system of directing attacks on the World Trade Center and the federal building. I say FBI people knew what was going on because children were taken out of a nursery minutes before a blast. I say federal personnel and the BATF were involved. I refer to Timothy McVeigh and say that because he hated what happened at Waco, he was used as a fall guy or scapegoat and was told he would eventually be seen as a hero. I also say he was furnished with what he needed to carry out the bombing.

Speaker 1:
I say I have statements or confessions from people I identify as federal government agents who claimed they took part in blowing up the federal building, took part in Waco, and took part in blowing up the World Trade Center. I further say there were hundreds of people who were supposed to be federal agents but were really one-world agents posing as U.S. Army, Navy, FBI, and other government personnel.

Speaker 1:
I'm a patriot. I loved America, and I still love it. That's why I'm trying to warn the people of America. [A phrase involving “canon law” is unclear.] I say there's an invasion here, a silent one. The Bible calls the Vatican, in my interpretation, “Mystery Babylon.” Babylon was Persia, but Mystery Babylon the Great, I say, is that great city that rules the kings and presidents of the world. I identify that city with Rome and the Roman Catholic Church.

Speaker 1:
I see my time is almost up. I was going to read some Scripture. Sharon is going to read a letter, and we'll see if we have time.

Speaker 2:
Dear Pastor Tony Alamo: Warm greetings to you in His glorious name. We are keeping well by God's power and through your precious prayers. We're always remembering you all in our daily prayers. You sent us some of your literature, and we distributed it. Your literature strengthens the people. It leads people back to life and revives spiritually starved people. We are very desirous to get more of your literature for our strength and growth in the Spirit. We're praying for your sincere ministries. Please pray for us and our work. Thanking you, sir. Jeshew Padam [name requires verification], from Kaka Nada [location requires verification], Andhra Pradesh, India.

Speaker 1:
Okay. Go ahead. Read the next one from Ghana, Africa.

Speaker 2:
Dear Mr. Alamo: I praise God daily for your inspirational program on Radio Africa. When I first tuned in to your program, I immediately became hooked on the inspirational Bible teachings. Thank you for the spiritual uplifting that I need daily. I am an evangelist of the Gospel Truth Fellowship, and our main aim is to study the Word and then go out to win souls for Christ. Can we have more of your literature and Bibles, including some for the needy and new converts during our evangelism and crusades? God bless you all. Patricia, from Ghana, Africa [specific locality unclear].

Speaker 1:
Okay. Sharon, let's read a little bit from some of King Solomon's writings here.

Speaker 2:
“Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth.”

Speaker 1:
He's talking to judges. I'm saying judges should love righteous judgment instead of sending people to prison or to their death on false charges. Read that again.

Speaker 2:
“Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth.”

Speaker 1:
Judges, love righteousness. Then what?

Speaker 2:
“Think of the Lord with a good heart.”

Speaker 1:
Think of the Lord and have a pure heart, a good heart. Then what?

Speaker 2:
“And in simplicity of heart seek Him.”

Speaker 1:
Don't get all complicated with different aspects of the Bible. Seek God's face and receive God's Spirit so you can be led by the Holy Spirit. Simply be led by the Spirit. Then what?

Speaker 2:
“For He will be found of them that tempt Him not.”

Speaker 1:
If you don't tempt the Lord, you'll find Him. When you find Him, you'll be able to get direction from Him and communicate with Him. Then what?

Speaker 2:
“And showeth Himself unto such as do not distrust Him.”

Speaker 1:
If you don't distrust the Lord, He'll show Himself to you. If you don't trust the Lord, He'll never show Himself to you. [The next short sentence is garbled in the source.] Then what?

Speaker 2:
“For froward thoughts separate from God.”

Speaker 1:
Froward thoughts separate you from God. “Froward” means not willing to yield or comply with that which is required or reasonable: perverse, disobedient, adverse, unfavorable, untoward, unyielding, ungovernable, unteachable, unruly. You can't be ruled by God if you insist on being ruled by the devil. Then what?

Speaker 2:
“And His power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.”

Speaker 1:
Read that again.

Speaker 2:
“And His power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.”

Speaker 1:
If you try to come against the power of God, He'll reprove you as unwise. Grace means power, as I explain it. By the grace of God, by the power of God, I will prevail. I can do all things in Christ Jesus. Amen. All things.

Speaker 1:
I see my time is up. I wish we had more time, but the Lord got hold of my time and took off, and I couldn't do anything else. Don't be unwise. Don't go against God's power or His Spirit. Receive His Spirit into your soul, and He will give you eternal life and immortality.

Speaker 1:
You can see, as I see it, that the world is getting worse and worse by believing false doctrine that I say the Vatican puts through the media. I say never in history have things been as bad as they are today. But you can have peace in this world when you let the Prince of Peace enter your heart. You can do that right now by saying this prayer to the Lord.

Speaker 1:
My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, and I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my filthy sins. I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1:
I open the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. Wash all my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed for me. You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus. You will save my soul. I know because Your Word says so. Your Word says that You'll turn no one away, and that includes me.

Speaker 1:
All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and I'm calling upon You, Lord. Therefore, I know You've heard me and answered me. I know I'm saved, and I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul. Now just raise your hands and praise and thank Him. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Jesus. Praise You, Lord.

Speaker 1:
Now, Sharon, tell them the four different ways they can receive a copy of this tape or CD.

Speaker 2:
Go to AlamoMinistries.com [website spelling requires verification], or write to Tony Alamo Christian Ministries, P.O. Box 6467, Texarkana, Texas 75505. Or call area code 479-782-7370, or fax area code 479-782-7406.

Speaker 1:
The only important thing in the world is to have faith in God, to fear God, and keep His commandments, as the whole duty of man. We have to fight the good fight of faith. Joshua did. This is “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho,” with J.D. Sumner [name requires verification], the Stamps Quartet, and myself.

Speaker 3:
“Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho. Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, and the walls came tumbling down.”

Speaker 3:
[The remaining verses in the automated transcript are heavily garbled. Several references to Joshua, Jericho, trumpets, shouting, and the walls coming down are recognizable, but the exact lyrics cannot be reconstructed reliably from the provided transcript alone.]
