Sermon 758A Overcoming to the End

Sermon 758A
Overcoming to the End: Tony Alamo on Revelation, the White Stone, and the Rod of Iron

An Archival Message About Continuing in God’s Work

In this archival sermon presented by Help from Christ Ministries, Tony Alamo opens in prayer and focuses on the teaching that believers must continue doing God’s work until the end of their lives. Drawing from Revelation chapter 2, he emphasizes Christ’s promise to those who “overcome” and “keep” His works, stating that faithful believers will receive power over the nations. Alamo prays that listeners will become deeply rooted in the Word of God, resist Satan, remain steadfast in faith, and receive the strength needed to continue what he describes as God’s work in the world.

“No Man Is an Island” and the Need for Christ

Alamo introduces a recording of “No Man Is an Island,” identifying the performers as himself, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, H.B. Barnum’s Life Choir, and the Hollywood Choir, with an arrangement by H.B. Barnum. He uses the song’s message to argue that people cannot successfully live on their own or according to their own desires, especially in what he describes as the end times. In his teaching, people need Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and the indwelling presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in order to endure spiritually and remain faithful.

The White Stone, Overcoming, and the Rejection of Continued Sin

After the music, Alamo returns to Revelation 2 and discusses the “white stone” and the new name promised to believers. He interprets the white stone as representing complete spiritual purity, unwavering faith, redemption, and a believer’s firm establishment in Christ. Using the image of a tree rooted beside living water, he says Christ and the Scriptures must become so deeply planted in a person’s mind, soul, and spirit that the believer cannot be moved away from faith. Alamo rejects what he describes as a false version of “once saved, always saved,” arguing that a person cannot claim salvation while continuing in sin; in his interpretation, genuine believers must keep Christ’s works continually and remain without spiritual blemish.

Personal Calling, Ministry Work, and Claims About World Government

Alamo then recalls praying for direction after the death of Susie, whom he identifies as the ministry’s former preacher. He says he asked God for the ability to write gospel literature, teach people across nations, and continue the ministry’s work. According to Alamo, he was instructed to remain confined to the work of preaching, writing, and recording teachings rather than pursuing his former interests in travel and outdoor activities. He says this work eventually led to worldwide radio broadcasting. During this portion, he also makes political and religious claims about government, Rome, Barack Obama, Islam, and what he regards as a one-world system opposing biblical truth; these claims are part of his sermon’s worldview and are not independently established within the transcript.

The Rod of Iron and Alamo’s View of Spiritual Authority

Continuing his reading from Revelation, Alamo focuses on the promise that the overcomer will rule with a “rod of iron.” He interprets this rod as the unyielding power of God’s Word operating through faithful believers. Alamo says those rooted in Christ should not be swayed by everyday worries, worldly pressures, or demonic opposition. He describes Satan as attacking people who might become effective preachers or teachers, and he urges listeners to actively plant the Word of God within themselves rather than expecting spiritual strength to come without effort. In discussing Jesus driving merchants from the temple, Alamo presents strong confrontation and discipline as legitimate expressions of religious authority.

Enforcing Order in the Church and Closing the Sermon

Near the end, Alamo applies the “rod of iron” theme to the operation of his own churches. He says disruptions or public complaints within a service should be dealt with firmly and that people who challenge the church’s order or leadership should be removed rather than allowed to remain. He presents himself as exercising this authority in order to preserve what he considers righteousness, justice, and proper worship. The program concludes with Alamo inviting listeners to return for a continuation of his teaching from Revelation, followed by the archival program’s contact information for Help from Christ Ministries.

Welcome and thanks for joining us for today's message from the Archives of Pastor Tony

In a twinkling of an eye. I've got songs, but right now let's pray, Father. Continue
in Arranging Me. Let me be a vessel that you can talk right through. Let everything that
is said on the program be directly from you. That souls will be saved and the Church will
be given great ability to keep your works. To keep doing your works. Because this is
the 26th verse of chapter 2 that we are to keep doing your works. We have to continue
overcoming. We are to overcome. This means that we have to receive your word into our
souls, into our spirits, and then we have to not just meditate on, but we do have to
meditate on them. But we have to keep doing, keep doing your work unto the end. And when
we do, you will give us the power over the nations, over all the Gentile nations, and
every nation in the world. And even in the Kingdom of Heaven, we will be given territories,
a grand territory. Because you can't use anybody that doesn't have the white stone. The white
stone is when we have received from the day star his arisen in our hearts. And we are sure,
not just having faith, but we have such faith that there's nothing that can stop us from
continuing to do your work to the end of our lives. We must do that so that we can have the
power over the nations. We have to have the same faith as you did in order to do the works that
you do. Father, we ask that this is implanted in us like a tree that roots go down deep into our
very being, into our minds, into our souls that were totally rooted and grounded in your word,
so that we are able to continue in your word, doing your work, continuously doing your work to the
end. Father, we ask it in Jesus' name. We've told us to rebuke Satan, to resist him, and he'll
flee from us. And we see that even the angel in the kingdom of Heaven rebuked Satan. So we rebuked
Satan, Father God. And we ask that you honor our rebuke by tying him up, by binding him, so that
souls can be saved and healed and given prosperity, the enough of everything, and more than enough to
do the job that we can continue doing your work to the end. And Lord, that you will give us faith
so that the entire army of God, the harmless army of God, will continue being able to do
His work. In Jesus' name, I pray. And everyone says amen. Amen. All right, I have just recently
recorded. Now, I'm around 50 or more messages ahead of anyone that's heard them with the
accession of the people in the studio where I record. And here's, we have the Prague Symphony
Orchestra. This is the Czech Republic Symphony Orchestra. And the choir, H.B. Barnum's Life Choir,
and Hollywood Choir, and myself, H.B. Barnum's arrangement. No man is an island. No man can stand
alone. You know, in these last days, many people think that they can conduct their lives the way
that they want to. But really, no man, I mean no man. No man can stand alone. We need the Lord.
We need the Lord Jesus Christ.
No man is an island. No man can stand alone. We need space as His guide to lead Him to His throne.
No man is an island. You may have wealth unknown. But without peace of mind,
the goodness of His glory.
My world was a stormy sea.
I learned to pray.
And His language doubt to me.
And you see, no man is an island. No man can stand alone.
So have faith and you'll find the love that can't rule.
You know, in these other very last days, Jesus Christ is coming back to earth again.
We need to know that we can't do this alone. We need the Word of God. We need Jesus for our God.
Remember that, all the days of your life.
Oh, I let go.
My world was a stormy sea.
I learned to pray.
And His hand reached out to me.
And you see, no man is an island.
No man can stand alone.
So have faith and you'll find the love that can't rule.
I learned to pray.
Have faith and you'll find.
You'll weather the storm.
And you'll hold out His hand.
And you'll never be alone.
Christ the Lord.
That's right.
No man is an island.
These are the end times and we need Christ in us.
Christ with His Father by the Spirit.
These three are one.
If we have the Godhead, the entire Godhead in us, we will never walk alone.
We have to have faith to do the things that the Lord says.
We who overcome, He and He, the Bible says, is of 26 verse of chapter 2, it says,
and He that overcometh.
And keepeth my works, keeps doing my work unto the hand, to Him will I give power over the
nations?
People say, well, how do we overcome?
We have to have the entire Godhead living in us.
And we have to get that into our souls, our spirits, our minds.
It has to be deeply rooted in us.
We have to have that much faith to where we're given this white stone.
And we have a new name given unto us that only the people that have that stone,
in other words, we have that firmness of belief.
We affirm in our belief, totally firm.
All the scriptures are firmly rooted into us, just like a tree that's planted by the living water.
It's so deeply rooted in us that there's no possibility of us ever forgetting it or wavering.
Trees that are deeply rooted that are by the water, they are so deeply rooted that they cannot
be moved.
But spiritually, we need the tree that the Lord's talked about is the tree of life.
And Jesus is the tree of life.
And He wants His self, because He is the Word of God.
He wants His entire tree, Himself, the tree of life, rooted in you.
And the roots, not just one root coming down, but like hundreds of thousands of offshoots
of His Word permeating throughout you, your soul, your spirit in your mind that you cannot be moved.
And when you have a new name given unto you, that is that you're redeemed,
and you are an overcomer.
You are so redeemed.
You're so saved that there's no possibility of you ever being shaken away from the Spirit.
Now, there's no such thing as one saved, always saved, but that's a false doctrine.
It is once saved, always saved if you are the way I'm telling you.
But the way they mean it is that you can still sin and you still will be saved.
That is the exact opposite of what I'm talking about and what the Lord is talking about here.
Those that keep my works, they keep doing my works on a daily basis, that they're so firm
in following me and standing on the solid rock Christ Jesus, that we are given that stone.
It's a white stone which is symbolic of complete pureness because that's the way we must be in
order to enter the kingdom and we must be without spot and without blemish.
Now, there is once a, always saved, but not in the respect that you can continue sinning because
if there's one spot, one blemish on your soul, you can't. You will not make it into the kingdom
of heaven and therefore is for sure you will not keep doing Lord's work into the end. You can't do
the Lord's work unto the end if you're sinning. The Lord does an honor sin. He does not honor sin.
And so just remember that all the days of your life, you have to wake up and meditate on that,
that we have to keep doing his commandments, his work to the end. To him that will,
Jesus says, will I give power over the nations? And when he's talking about power, it's not just
some minimal type thing where you are apologizing to the pope, to Satan, and that you're tolerating
sin. Now, the Lord has no tolerance for sin whatsoever. After people have accepted him as their
personal savior, after they've come unto him and they've pelt and they know that he has entered
into their life with the Father by the Spirit. And then they continue sinning. There's no tolerance.
The Lord has no tolerance for that devil. He's not going to let sin dwell in you and him dwell
in you at the same time. The Lord wants your entire body as his house. Now, there are many
rooms in a person's body and all of them, the Lord doesn't want to occupy one room or two or 10
rooms or 20. He wants to inhabit the entire hotel. You're a hotel of rooms. You're a house,
the house of God. You are the temple or the house of the living God. And if you're allowing yourself
to now and then let Satan throw the Lord out of your temple and say, coming in Satan just for a while.
But the Lord will not tolerate you. He is intolerable to that sort of thinking. There's no such thinking
in the Bible. And so you can't give by with it. And I want you to know that. And the Lord wants me
to emphasize that to you all the time. And you say, well, you're intolerable. Yes, I am. Because I
know I don't want the Lord to not tolerate me. I want him to tolerate me every day of my life.
And I also want to be given power over the nation. So I believe I have that power. And I don't want
to take it away from me. I love the power of the Lord. And it's his power. No one else is but he is.
And I have it. And I thank him for his the Lord for it. Now verse 27 states, this is right after that verse.
And he, a person that does his work every day. And does it because he remembers that he keeps
these things in his heart, soul, mind, and he does it with all of his strength. You know, the world keeps
working on us. Well, you know, let's have fun, fun, fun. Let's go here or there. And let's do this and that.
But the Lord told me when I prayed to him, when Susie died and went on to be with the Lord,
I prayed, Lord, what am I going to do now? Susie is the preacher. What am I going to do? We're in a little town
called Dyer Arkansas. We had a big church there. And we had another chapel on top of the hill on top of
Georgia Ridge. And I said, we're just a little, we're nothing. I need to have something I need for you to
give me the ability to write gospel literature and get it all over the world. And I want you, Lord, to let me
teach the people, the nation, all the nations, what your rules and regulations are. I want
to do that, Lord, I need to have some power here over the nations because Susie's gone. And she had
that power. And I need it now. And he says, I'll give that to you. I'll give you the power to you.
Right? But he says, but you're going to be confined. I know that you like to travel. You like to go
out here and outdoors person. And you like to go doing this and that during the day in building
and being with the brothers out in the field and things like that. But I want you to stay in now.
You will have to be confined. He said, now, if you will continue preaching this word writing
this literature, and later he told me now you teach the people at the church. And the best way to do
it was on tape. And so I started doing it on tape. And all of a sudden we started getting requests
to be on radio. And we're on radio all over the world now. He said, but if you preach and teach
the things that I'm teaching you, and you do that, no one can destroy you. He said, but if you don't
put that out, you will be destroyed. Now put out the word of God, because the word of God is the most
powerful weapon in the world. And it will tear down the fallacies of the US and international
government. There is no US government anymore. It's all the one world government. And it is also
coming from Rome. Everything is so simple. And people try to complicate it. I hear this
Obama selling us down the tubes already telling us that we have to have a new way of thinking
other than the Lawrence way. And we know that he's a Muslim. He's been going to the Muslim
whatever you call it, called for many years. And all of a sudden he's saying he's a Christian.
Now how is anybody going to believe this guy? I mean the Muslims, if anyone claims to be a Christian
and not a Muslim, I hear that they murdered the people. Well he hasn't got long to live if
that's the case. But at any rate, I know that I have to continue on preaching the word and teaching
the people in the world and telling them the things that they have to do on a daily basis.
And if we do, verse 27 says, the Lord says, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron.
Well you can't have a rod of iron unless you have the stone that sawed rock christian Jesus
living in you is a rock. The rock of ages. There's nothing like him in the world. The Lord takes care
of everything and you don't need to worry about your petty grievances or the petty things that
trouble you every day. You need to just do what the Lord says so that you can live. He says,
do these things and no one will be able to destroy you. And don't let your mind get off of that because
if you get off that and discontinue distributing my word all over the world, then you won't have a
rod of iron. My word is the rod of the universe's dictator. I dictate the sun, the moon, the stars,
I dictate every animal, I dictate the rain, the winds, the storms, I dictate who I will destroy
and who I will not destroy. All those that are out of order with me, all those that don't do what I
say they love death. Those that believe in me they love life and those that will refuse that
hate me, they love death. You hate my word, you love death and you're weak. You have like a
reed shaking in the wind. But if you're in me and you're doing what I say you're not like a reed
shaking in the wind, you're like a rod of iron. You're unmovable, unmovable. He, a person that does
what I say, shall rule them with a rod of iron. I'm talking from the book of Revelation. This is a
revelation to you. It's a revelation that the Lord wants him planted in you that he is a rock,
not a shaken reed. He is stronger than iron. As the vessels of a potter shall they be broken
to shivers, even as I received of my father. So the Lord, if we're receiving the word of God,
we're receiving from Christ and his father. Christ is telling us he's attempting to show you.
He's actually showing you how he overcame. And as I receive these things from my father and you,
I have made you a vessel to where you can receive of my father as well. But there's always an evil
spirit. And sometimes for some of you, two evil spirits and some hundreds of evil spirits. And
the harder Satan is hitting you, that means that he knows what would happen if you accepted the
Lord Jesus and you would receive from his father. You would be the most dynamic preacher and teacher
that ever lived because there are hundreds or maybe even thousands of demons attacking you on a
daily basis. They're swarming over you like millions of bees. And you, if you are anchored in the
Lord like a tree that's planted by the water, if the tree of life, which is Christ is embedded in you
and is permeating himself through you. And you're the one that has to do it. You have to be planting
Christ into you, the Father and the Holy Spirit. You plant the Word of God into you so that you are
like stronger than iron. You'll rule. You shall rule with a rod of iron. So you're really the one
that has to do it. You say, well, I just pray to Jesus and Jesus will do it for you. Now Jesus
isn't going to do anything. He's telling you what to do. You have to rule with the rod of iron.
He's not. Some people just get themselves into a metaphysical stupor where they think, well, I just
want to be like a light unto the world like Jesus and I'm just going to be sweet and nice and kind.
Well, was Jesus sweet and nice and kind to the people when they were sitting in the temple?
They made the house of worship into a house of thieves and merchants and so on.
No, it just thrills me when I read the part where he drove these evil creatures out of the temple
with a whip. Amen. So you go out of church, the Word of God, and you use this a rod of iron. You
can't let anybody. There's so many times that I call at the different churches that I have,
they say, well, somebody stood up in the church and said this or that and they just took him into
the prayer room. I said, no, you have to teach people a lesson. Walk them outside and tell them,
you don't do that in this church because this church is run by the rod of iron of God where it's
solid rock. Now, you better learn right now if you want to say into this church. If you want to be
a member of this church, if you want to be involved in this church, you will never stand up in the
church and break the spirit and tell people that something's wrong with the food or something
wrong with this because our food is the best food. There's not a restaurant in Los Angeles
or an Arkansas that serves better food than we do. It was delicious. It's nutritious. It's
a very fresh and everything about it is the best because that's the kind of person in the Lord is
and that's the kind of person I am. I'm like him and I want to stay like him because I want to rule
with the rod of iron. I want to rule them nations with a rod of iron, not with a marshmallow or
some cream hoea or something like that. Oh, the Lord doesn't admire that. He loves iron people that
have the faith of that white rock, the solid rock Christ Jesus. It's just filling their vessel,
their minds. They don't let anything waver like a rod in the wind, but it's like a rod of iron.
Powerful, full of glory and full of honor and it is filled full of righteousness and justice
and judgment. And anyone that comes into my church that thinks they're going to teach,
they might as well know that they won't be in there for a nanosecond. I am strong in the Lord and I
will put them out of the church and I have continuously have done that down through the years.
Praise the Lord. This is World Pastor Tony Alamo saying,
Tony, and tomorrow for a continuation of the book of Revelation. So you'll learn,
you know, what must be done in these last days. God bless you and praise the Lord. Amen.
