Ep232, How To Have Gods Life Living In You, Part 130, Mastering the Self Through Service: Surrender, Judgment, and the Kingdom of God
Service Instead of Worldly Status
The program opens with Tony Alamo contrasting service to God and other people with the pursuit of money, comfort, and social status. He introduces and sings “You Can’t Take It With You Where You’re Going,” using the song to reinforce the idea that material wealth cannot be carried beyond death and that helping others has lasting spiritual importance. His opening prayer continues the theme, describing the Kingdom of God as a life of service rather than being served. He urges listeners to study Scripture, help the poor and needy, and seek the approval he hopes believers will hear at judgment: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” This emphasis on service becomes the framework for the teaching that follows.
Letters from Ghana, the Solomon Islands, and Togo
The broadcast includes three international letters describing the ministry’s literature and material assistance. A letter from Accra, Ghana, says donated funds were used to bring electricity into a children’s ministry, repair a leaking roof, purchase roofing sheets, and paint the facility; Alamo adds that refugee camps receive literature, Bibles, clothing, and financial assistance. A correspondent from the Solomon Islands requests additional ministry publications, multiple Bibles, and placement on the mailing list after reading several newsletters. A letter from Togo describes distributing ministry literature and expresses interest in broadcasting the messages on radio and television, preferably in French. Alamo uses the letters as evidence of what he describes as the ministry’s expanding international evangelistic work.
Mastery Begins with Self-Denial
The central teaching argues that human beings were created for “mastery,” but that true authority begins with mastering oneself under God’s rule. Alamo says that prayer, Scripture reading, and seeking God are necessary sources of spiritual strength and that people become frustrated when they pursue a life different from the one God intended. He repeatedly contrasts the Gospel’s demand for self-denial with a culture that teaches people to accumulate wealth, build comfortable lifestyles, and have others serve them. Drawing on his own account of leaving a lucrative entertainment career and distributing religious literature on Hollywood Boulevard, he presents surrender of personal ambitions as essential to Christian discipleship. He argues that believers must deny their former lives, take up their cross, and allow Christ to live through them.
Conflict, Betrayal, and Controversial Claims
A substantial portion of the sermon contains Alamo’s accusations and interpretations concerning former church members, government authorities, the Vatican, political leaders, the media, Waco, 9/11, and alleged efforts to destroy his ministry. He compares people he says betrayed his ministry with Judas and with biblical warnings about traitors and backsliders, and he denies courtroom allegations that he maintained two sets of financial books. He also makes claims about death, hell, divine judgment, and the fate of people who oppose what he considers God’s work. These political, religious, historical, and personal allegations are presented throughout the broadcast as Alamo’s own statements and interpretations; the transcript itself does not independently establish them as facts. His larger theological argument is that persecution and betrayal recur when people reject a Gospel requiring repentance and service.
Caiaphas, Lazarus, Judas, and the Cost of Following Christ
The latter teaching turns to John chapters 11 and 12, beginning with the order to report Jesus’ location so authorities could seize Him. Alamo discusses the raising of Lazarus, the religious leaders’ desire to kill Jesus and Lazarus, Mary’s use of costly spikenard on Jesus’ feet, and Judas Iscariot’s objection that the perfume could have been sold and the proceeds given to the poor. The teaching contrasts Judas, whom the passage identifies as a thief, with Mary’s devotion and with Jesus’ willingness to die. Caiaphas and the Sadducees are portrayed as an elite group concerned with preserving political influence, wealth, and security, while Jesus represents a Kingdom whose leaders serve rather than seek service. Alamo uses these passages to argue that people must choose between temporary power and the eternal life he says is offered through Jesus Christ.
Salvation, Judgment, and Walking with God
The program concludes with an urgent appeal for listeners to choose Jesus rather than postpone a decision about salvation. Alamo teaches that death is followed by immediate judgment and later bodily resurrection and final judgment, and he warns repeatedly about hell and the lake of fire for those he considers unrepentant. He then leads listeners through a salvation prayer affirming Jesus as the Son of God, His death on the cross, His resurrection, forgiveness through His blood, and an invitation for Jesus to enter the believer’s heart. After Sharon gives instructions for obtaining program 232, Alamo closes with “I’ll Walk with God,” explaining that hearing the song before his conversion moved him deeply. The closing song returns the episode to its central message of relying on God, surrendering one’s path to Him, and refusing to walk through life alone.

Speaker Identification
Speaker 1 – Host / Preacher, Tony Alamo. He identifies himself at the beginning as “World Pastor Tony Alamo,” leads the prayer and teaching, comments on the listener letters and Bible readings, sings the opening and closing songs, gives the salvation prayer, and closes the program.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader. The host identifies Sharon by name and asks her to tell listeners how to obtain the program. Throughout the broadcast, a second voice appears to read letters, prepared teaching material, and Scripture passages. Where the raw transcript does not conclusively distinguish Sharon from another possible reader, “Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader” is used as the most likely consistent identification rather than inventing additional identities.
Speaker 3 – Letter Writers, quoted by Speaker 2. Their letters are read aloud in the program. They are not heard directly in the recording.

Speaker 1 – Host:
Hello again. This is World Pastor Tony Alamo. We’re into part 130 of How to Have God’s Life Living in You. This is program 232.
If you’d like a copy of it, we have four different ways for you to receive one. It is absolutely free, including postage and handling. Just let us know whether you want a CD copy or an audio tape. At the end of the program, Sharon will tell you four different ways to receive a copy.
We’ve got some letters here and a real strong message that you won’t want to miss.
Everybody says, “You can’t take it with you,” so you should do what you can for the Lord. Do everything that you can with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. That’s the first commandment: love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
I did a recording years ago with Gary Paxton, who arranged it. We had some of the best musicians in Nashville, Tennessee, and it’s called “You Can’t Take It With You Where You’re Going.” Here it is right now.
Speaker 1 – Host, singing:
Traffic in a turmoil by the sidewalk,
Somewhere someone left to meet their fate.
Other people stand around and just pause,
When they could do more than just [unclear lyric].
Everybody’s sweating about the dollar,
[Unclear lyric].
Help him when they fall.
[Unclear lyric] send him to a place to burn.
You can’t take it with you where you’re going.
There’s no place to spend it either way.
Might as well get satisfaction early,
Help someone have a little brighter day.
Help somebody turn a tear to laughter.
[Unclear lyric] along the way.
There’s no social standing in the hereafter.
Everybody dies a single way.
You can’t take it with you where you’re going.
There’s no place to spend it either way.
Might as well get satisfaction early,
Help someone have a little brighter day.
When you help somebody [unclear lyric],
You can’t cheat the Lord now, don’t you know?
Helping others can be fun to be [unclear lyric],
Because you can’t take it with you when you go.
No, you can’t take it with you when you go.
No, you can’t take it with you when you go.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right now we have some letters. Let’s go up to the throne and ask the Lord to anoint this service.
Father, we thank You for Your holy name because we read in Your Word that we’ve been called into the Kingdom of God not to be served, but to be of service.
This is the message that the people of the world cannot stand. They hate it. This is the reason they killed Jesus, and this is the reason, I say, Christians are being killed all over the world—because we’re preaching a Gospel that is totally foreign to the things they teach and preach in this world today.
Everybody wants to, quote, “make it,” unquote, so that they can be served. They don’t want to hear a Gospel that teaches people they must give up their former life and serve You, because You tell us that we must serve others. We must sell what we have and give to the poor. We have to do that. It’s what You commanded us to do.
You send finances to us not for ourselves. We are allowed to maintain ourselves, and we are commanded to help others—the poor and the needy. There are so many people who are dirt poor in this world, and we thank and praise You for Your support.
Now, people in radio land, you can’t take what you’ve got with you. Lord, impress it upon their hearts, souls, and spirits to do something that will cause them to be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, and for You to be able to say to them when they come before You, “Come in, My good and faithful servant. Well done.”
That is what I want the Lord to say to me when I stand before Him on Judgment Day. I want Him to say, “Come in, My good and faithful servant. Well done.” I’ve heard people joke about other things they want the Lord to say to them, but that is all I want Him to say.
Nothing matters in this whole world except getting into the Kingdom of God. Your Word, Father, shows us exactly how we can accomplish that. So it behooves people to pick up Your Word, the Bible, and study it with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let it be their lamp, their guide, their sunshine in this world—the way to life eternal, the straight and narrow way to life immortal.
Lord, let this message that You bring this evening penetrate those whom You have ordained for it to penetrate. Let it enter their hearts and spirits so that souls might be saved, and let the church be strengthened by it. In the mighty name of Jesus.
And everyone says amen.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
All right. Where do we have letters from?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
From Accra, Ghana.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Okay, let’s hear it. This is from the place where Buster was?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Yes.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Okay. Buster did a great work over there. He found out who the real Christians were and who weren’t. Out of a hundred different places there, he found two refugee camps, with around 50,000 or more people in them, that were really on fire for the Lord. Even the little children knew the Word.
Okay, let’s hear what they have to say.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading letter:
Dear Pastor Alamo,
Thanks once more for the amount of one thousand dollars that was sent. This amount was used to bring electricity into the children’s ministry, and the receipt for that is going to be given to Co-Pastor Buster.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right. Every week they get a thousand dollars or more, and they get literature, Bibles, tapes, T-shirts, clothing of some sort. There’s another camp there that we’re doing the same thing for. Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading letter:
Secondly, it was also used for the roofing of the porch of the ministry and to cover some leaking areas of the roof. We bought twelve roofing sheets, and the balance was used to paint the ministry.
From the first recording that was recorded to the present one, you will notice a lot of nice changes the Lord has done through you, His divine servant.
A million thanks to the Lord for using you, His divine servant, to reach His needy people who have laid their lives down for Him.
I would like to say, in a layman’s way, thanks very, very much.
Vanny,
Accra, Ghana, Africa.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Praise the Lord. Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Then from the Solomon Islands.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading letter:
Dear Pastor Tony Alamo,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King.
I thank God for your anointed ministry, which reaches many countries in this world for Christ. You are turning many lost souls the world over into God’s Kingdom in the dying minutes of this dispensation. Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom you are serving effectively.
It was a blessing to receive your World Newsletter entitled “The Five Steps to Salvation,” “The Secret of How to Defend Your Mind,” “The Code,” and “The Art of Spiritual Communication.” They were given to my small brother by someone. I was really blessed by them.
Please, Brother Alamo, put me on your mailing list. I want you also to send me the book entitled The Messiah and five Bibles, one printed in large letters, King James Version.
May God continue to bless and anoint you with a double portion of His blessing and anointing.
Yours in Christ’s service,
Justice,
[Malaita Province], Solomon Islands.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Okay. Where’s the next letter from? Praise the Lord. Thank God for all these people.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
From Togo, Africa.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading letter:
Well-beloved Pastor Alamo,
Nothing in the world gives me more joy than that which brings me immeasurable peace within. I am very happy and filled with honor.
Let me tell you, it was in 2003 that I discovered for the first time in my life your World Newsletter in English entitled The Real Thing, the Real Deal. Even though it was in English, this comforted me and straightened me out again spiritually. So I kept it with care and caution.
In 2005, the idea came to me to ask you if I could be a distributor. The Word of God is reality for today. It never grows old, and it always brings about profound changes in man.
You are blessed. I am very grateful for your consideration, in particular with respect to me, and I believe this will continue right up to the coming of our Lord Jesus.
As soon as I opened the box and read [unclear publication title or titles concerning the Vatican and its clergy], I began distributing them in prayer. Let me tell you, Catholics are convinced of the truth and reality.
I give thanks to God for your life and your ministry. May the Holy Spirit enlighten you more and more, and certainly souls will be won to the Kingdom of God.
I also hope to have messages on audio cassette or CD from you. Don’t forget my T-shirt and sweatshirt.
There are actually a lot of people in the Christian churches here in Togo. Wouldn’t it be beneficial for the Togolese if we broadcast your cassettes and videos on radio and television? My hope is that your messages get to more people. It is very serious.
If they are in English, well, but in French is better. Thank you in advance for understanding.
[Name unclear],
Lomé, Togo.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Well, we have these messages and the literature in almost every major language. I think we do have every major language, including Hebrew, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Greek—you name it.
Okay, now we have a message here for you from the Lord. Can you go ahead?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
God created us for mastery.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right—to be masters over the world. But a lot of people want to be masters, and they have to learn that we first must master ourselves.
People think they’re going to get into the Kingdom of Heaven even though they don’t study the Word every day and they don’t pray at all. There’s no possible way that we can stand even one day unless we are fortified by the power of God living in us and we’re empowered by that power.
When we read and pray, this is our power and our success. And when we seek the Lord—not just read, but seek the Word of God with all of our hearts and all of our minds—that is where the power is.
All right, then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
God created us for mastery, yet that is not the reality most people experience in their daily lives.
Speaker 1 – Host:
There are so many. The Bible cautions us that in the last days the love of many would wax cold and people would betray one another—even people who called themselves Christians.
I had a bunch of Christians who, I say, were unsaved. We could tell that. But they claimed to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and they stood up against me in a courtroom on what I say was a bogus accusation that I was cheating the IRS out of money.
Now we have CDs, and there are so many people who are enlightened. For instance, independent people, rather than what I call Vatican news networks, took a survey to find out how many people believe that 9/11 was an inside job—in other words, that the White House was behind the whole thing.
And the thing that I hate about those exposés is that they never put the finger on the Pope. They just say it’s the White House. I say the White House was in with it, but I say it’s the Vatican ordering them to do that.
How do I know this? Because I say the Bible tells us so. Amen?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
That’s why it’s so important for you to read the Bible, because it tells us that Satan’s seat is in Rome. And I say it tells us they’re behind every evil thing that is happening on earth. That satanic culture, I say, is the mother of every abomination on earth.
It’s just like in the days when Jesus was betrayed. Caiaphas was the priest, and he was a Sadducee. You could say he was “sad, you see,” because they didn’t believe in the resurrection. They believed that everything they were going to get was on this side of eternity.
But the Bible plainly tells us that Caiaphas was absolutely wrong. I’ve written something on that this evening, and we’re going to do that. But just keep reading here for a while.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
They are frustrated because they are not fulfilling their purpose.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right. They’re not fulfilling their purpose because they’re not fulfilling the Lord’s purpose.
They’re not doing the purpose the Lord created us for: to seek Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. That’s the first commandment. If you break one commandment, you’ve broken them all, because eventually you’re going to break them all.
I don’t know how many thousands of people—and now even millions of people—have come to the Lord through this ministry. I’ve seen them come in, and they were really praising the Lord and thanking the Lord. Then, after they stopped reading, stopped praying, and stopped believing the Word of God, they turned against what I say the Lord was doing through this ministry.
They stood up in a courtroom in Memphis, Tennessee, and told what I say were filthy lies about me. Then they told things that were true, but I say those things were of the Lord. When the Lord tells you to do something, you’d better do it no matter what. Amen?
It’s like people telling you, “Don’t distribute the literature because we don’t want you to upset the comfortable way we’re living. We don’t want you to preach a doctrine to us where we have to serve somebody.”
People say, “We worked hard all our lives and earned our money.” Some basketball players say, “We earned our money playing basketball, football, baseball, and all these other sports. We went out there and got beat up in boxing and everything like that, so we want to be served.”
That is the actual doctrine of the world.
You can see infomercials on television that say, “I make five thousand dollars a week,” or “I make twenty thousand dollars a month. Look at us. We’re living in comfort. We have maids and butlers, and you could do the same thing. You can make money in real estate without putting money down, fix it up a little bit, sell it for ten times as much, and then you’ll have people bowing and scraping to you. Wouldn’t you like that?”
They don’t want to hear a message that says, “Give up what you have,” or, “Give up your former life of just trying to earn enough money for yourself.”
That’s how I was before I got saved. I wanted a real nice home in Beverly Hills, nice homes throughout the United States, and some in Europe. I didn’t want anything to do with Israel because Israel, to me, was a bummer. Everywhere you looked there was talk about the Bible, and of course I didn’t believe the Bible back then.
Then I had this spiritual experience. I believed God so much and feared Him so much that I had to leave what I was doing 42 years ago and go down on the streets. That’s where we went—Susan and myself. We started distributing literature on the streets.
We would stand on a corner on Hollywood Boulevard and pass out the literature to people passing by. The people who were dressed really nice and loved to have people serve them didn’t want anything to do with the Gospel.
But when we distributed to the hippies—I mean, these people had torn jeans, dirty jeans, dirty faces, long hair, and they didn’t smell good—they were receiving the Gospel. They were really receiving it, like the people in Africa are doing now, in India, in the Philippines, and all over the world.
Of course, we still get a lot of responses here in the United States. We’re praying people through here every day. But on the whole, people are being trained from the time they grow up to “think and grow rich,” like all these books that teach you how to succeed in life so you can have comfort, have people serve you, and have servants and drivers and all this kind of stuff.
Those people don’t want to hear this message. I say they’ll kill you. The elite people in government today, I say, would do the same thing people did to Christ.
But what they don’t realize is Christ is on the scene, because the same Gospel Jesus preached, we’re preaching. The same things Jesus allows, we’re allowing. If He commands us to do something, we’re going to do it.
You always find that people who hate the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven bring accusations against you because they want you stopped. They don’t want this Gospel preached any longer. That’s obvious to me.
I say there are people the Vatican is supporting and giving millions of dollars every year, and they want this Gospel to end right now. I say they’re willing to kill. I say they warned of Christian rule by killing the people at Waco. Those people, I say, were Bible-believing Christians.
Go ahead and keep reading.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
They do not function properly because they are not living in the environment for which they were created.
Speaker 1 – Host:
The environment the Lord created us for is to live in the Kingdom of Heaven and the commonwealth of the Kingdom.
The Lord doesn’t want to see the people He created going to hell. That’s why He died. That’s why He came into the world.
It’s a life of self-denial. The majority of people in the world don’t want to deny themselves.
The Lord says, “Now that you’re born again, now that you fear Me, now that you’re going to want to serve Me, the first instruction is to deny yourself.”
Deny yourself. What does that mean? Deny yourself the things you like to do that you’ve always done in your life. Deny your life and let Me live My life in you. Let Me live, because if you don’t let Me live, you’re going to die eternally in the lake of fire.
I’m doing this for your own good. I’m warning you, and I’m showing you the map of how you can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven: deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me. Live the way I did. Amen?
Anybody preaching, “Let’s just enjoy today’s life,” and all this kind of stuff—I say that is a satanic message, and the people of the world love it.
Anytime you see ministers who have humongous crowds—my God, I see them with a million or two million people out there—and everybody thinks that’s of the Lord, but they’re not telling them they have to deny themselves, take up the cross, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
They’re not telling them they can’t sin. They’re telling them, “The Lord forgave us for all of our sins—past, present, and future.” I say that’s a lie. They say God loves us unconditionally, when in reality the Lord has conditions for everything. There are conditions that you must meet in order to enter the Kingdom of God.
Now the Lord said that in these last days there would be seducing spirits, and people would become traitors.
There are actual people who were in this church. They’ve been gone for 20 years or more, and they’re saying every kind of evil thing. They don’t know what we’re doing over here. They don’t know how this ministry has, as I say, exploded throughout the world.
We’re getting hundreds and hundreds of emails, faxes, letters, and mail of all sorts every day. It’s exploding.
But of course, we had this type of people back in the days of Jesus, in the days of the prophets, and in the days of the apostles. They hate the Gospel. Some, I say, once were saved, but they gave their lives over to Satan, and now they’re doing everything in their power hoping somehow to destroy this ministry like they destroyed Jesus.
But they didn’t destroy Him, and you’ll never destroy this ministry, because our ministry, I say, is the same as Jesus. It’s Jesus in us.
I’m not worried about people who have fallen away from the Lord and love to live lives of sin, who are looking to make money from the government or whoever is supporting them.
These people, I say, were unstable when they were here. They weren’t able to make big money. This ministry supported them and their children for years before they decided they wanted to go back out into the world and live their own lives.
One former member stated that she had served the Lord for many years and now she was going to serve her children and her husband and wanted to leave. She became, I say, one of the main people doing things against us.
I left a career that was extremely lucrative. I had it made in the entertainment industry. I left my Beatles album behind and everything. These people know it. They know that I say the Lord talks to me, and they know that I serve the Lord.
But I say these people are corrupt. They are doing everything in their power to destroy the work of God.
You say, “Well, maybe they’ll be like the Apostle Paul. The Lord will come down and start talking to them and say, ‘Why are you persecuting Me?’”
Paul was never saved before that. He was a Pharisee on the road to Damascus when the Lord came to him and said, “Why are you persecuting Me? Saul, it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.”
So if you’re thinking that God is going to come down on a group of backsliders after, as I say, seven demons have entered into them, I say you’re wrong. I teach that it is impossible for them to be restored when they have fallen away and then turn around and attack the Bible and the work that I say God has called us to do.
They brought slanderous statements against the Bible and against the one whom I say the Lord has called to get the Gospel throughout the world.
They said at the trial in Memphis that I had two sets of books. I swear before Almighty God I did not have two sets of books. I never manipulated the books. I don’t even pay attention to the books.
I trained people how to do books in the first place because I knew how from different experiences I had in the business world. But I know better than to do something like that and put the Gospel to shame, as I say they are doing.
I say they are not going to prosper. There was a person attacking us in [unclear location], and a couple of weeks ago he dropped dead from cancer. These people who are saying these things have seen, I say, things like that happen in this church many times.
People who attacked us are now dead, stiff in caskets, and I say their souls are in hell.
People were saying on TV the other day, “When a person dies, do they go to Heaven right away or do they go to hell right away?” Yes, they do. The Bible says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Amen?
So they go there right away. People ask, “Then how are they going to come back?”
The Bible tells us plainly there are two judgments. It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment. We’re judged immediately when the spirit leaves our body, and then we go to either Heaven or hell.
Then, at the final judgment, the spirits of everyone who ever lived on this earth go back to the bodies they were living in before. The particles of dust that were in them before come back together in an incredible, supernatural way.
People doubt the power of God, but He knows exactly what you’re thinking. He knows everything. That’s going to happen, and then your spirit is united with your body and you’re resurrected from the dead. The graves will open up and the bodies will come forth. Amen?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Okay, this is the final judgment. Then you’re changed into a celestial body, and then you go up before the Lord to the judgment seat of Christ.
But those of you who have thrown the Bible in the trash and attacked what I call God’s work here on earth, I say you’re going before Him and your soul is going into the pit of hell, and then into the lake of fire. You’re going to be sorry—so sorry there won’t even be words for you to explain it.
There are a lot of people who will give you different doctrine about this. Okay, let’s do a little bit of this message that I did today. Go ahead and start reading it.
The 11th chapter of the book of John, and I’m reading from verse 57. That’s the last verse in chapter 11 of John. Okay, go ahead and read it.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading Scripture/teaching notes:
“Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment that, if any man knew where He were, he should show it, that they might take Him.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
That’s what I say the government is doing today: giving orders that if anyone knew where Jesus was, that person was to report it so they might seize Him.
That’s what they did to a lot of people, I say, including FBI agents. One of them was [John Peeler]. I say they offered him money because they wanted him to assassinate me.
Why? What did I do wrong? They make up things that I’m doing wrong, but I say I’m not doing them.
Anything that I am doing is, I say, of the Lord. That’s between the Lord and myself, and I’m doing it because I say the Lord ordered me to do it.
Okay, now what else?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
That’s the last verse in chapter 11 of John.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Okay. They were wanting to seize Jesus. They wanted to get rid of Him because of His message. Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
At that time Lazarus returned to life. He came back to life because of Jesus raising him from the dead.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Keep going.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
This was the actual last straw for all the religious leaders and the elite at that time. These people were hell-bent on killing Jesus.
Speaker 1 – Host:
And I say they are hell-bent today on killing the Jesus that’s in you and me because we’re preaching a Kingdom where the elite have to serve.
We’re preaching the same Gospel that Jesus preached. The wealthy and the elite, I say, hate this Gospel because we’re telling them they have to give up what they have, come and follow the Lord, and have riches forevermore according to the commonwealth of the Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven.
That’s why, I say, they hate it. Liars don’t want to admit they’re liars because they don’t believe the Gospel. They don’t believe that if you don’t confess your sins, you can’t be saved.
These people who are fighting us, I say, believe that this government—this Antichrist government—is more powerful than the Lord. They’re going to find out, I say, extremely soon that they’re on a very bad trip—the worst one you can ever have.
Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
The elite of this world don’t want to serve. They want to be served. But Jesus stopped His public ministry at that time.
Speaker 1 – Host:
After He found out they wanted to kill Him, He stopped His public ministry because it wasn’t His time to die yet.
The Lord led Him, just like I say the Lord led me to get off the ridge and open up other works in different places because they wanted to catch us all together and destroy us all at once.
The federal government, under the leadership of President Bush—the older President Bush—I say sent them up there because I exposed what I claimed was the fact that he had Nazi war criminals among his advisers, that he himself was a Nazi, and that his son was a Nazi. I also said they were Catholics, that Hitler was Catholic, and that Hitler was absolutely Antichrist. I say the Vatican uses those kinds of people to do damage, and Satan uses backsliders just as he used Judas.
Okay, continue on, please.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
They were coming to kill the Jesus that was in me and the Jesus that was in everyone who was right with the Lord on the ridge.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Right. There weren’t very many of them. There were all kinds of false Christians there, but there were some who, I say, were of the Lord.
Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
[The next portion refers to people allegedly placed inside the church and to statements attributed to a man whose name is unclear.]
Speaker 1 – Host:
This is what [Alberto Rivera—name uncertain] told me: that we had a lot of Jesuits in our church. He had been, I say, with people close to the Pope, and he told us there were a lot of Jesuits in our church because the Vatican realized that we were the strongest church out there and that I had the guts, the courage, and the fearlessness to come against them and expose them. So, I say, they placed a lot of these people into our church.
Then they can say, “Well, we were there. We know all this stuff.”
I compare that to what Judas did to Jesus: “I was with Him. He’s doing this and He’s doing that.”
And I say Satan did something similar to God in the Kingdom of Heaven. He could say, “You people don’t realize what He’s like. I’m right next to Him. I’m His covering angel.” He could plant evil seeds in people’s minds.
That’s what the Lord said Satan does. Immediately when you receive the Gospel into your heart, Satan comes like a bird and steals that good seed—the Word of God—from your heart.
It doesn’t make any difference how much good you do here. Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead, and that made them all the more desirous of killing Jesus—and not only Jesus, but Lazarus—because it was a supernatural thing and people began believing that what Jesus was saying was true.
There are good and bad people of every nationality. The first disciples and the prophets were Jews, and they wrote the Bible, but there are good and bad people in every nationality.
Okay, then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
God didn’t come—Jesus didn’t come into this world—to preach religion, because religion is of the devil.
Speaker 1 – Host:
I say religion is of the devil because this religious order was under Roman authority. Caiaphas was a Jew under the authority of Caesar. He was a Sadducee.
He knew that he had to get permission from the Roman government to kill Jesus. And what they did was accuse Him of saying He was King.
We say, ‘Repent. Everybody, stop sinning. Stop being homosexual. Stop being lesbian. Stop lying, stealing, and murdering.’ I accuse people of murdering hundreds of millions of people in this world, and I say they are going to go to hell for it if they don’t repent. I tell fornicators, adulterers, and liars to get right with God before it is too late.
I condemn those whom I believe are trying to stop the Bible from being exposed and those trying to stop Christmas and other things I associate with the Gospel. I say that everything this nation was built on was the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and whether it was or not, the Word of God is the only guide we have for how to get into the Kingdom of God.
If it offends somebody, I say, ‘To hell with them.’ I call unbelievers ‘dogs,’ while saying that I am using biblical language. I ask how they are ever going to get saved unless we preach the Gospel to them. I say that, even under all the persecution we have had, we still preach the Gospel to them in love.
I say Jesus called unbelievers dogs. I compare people who fight what I call the work of God to dogs that have gone back to their vomit and to swine wallowing in the mire. I say there is no repentance for them if they have been turned over to delusion and a reprobate mind, which I define as a mind rejected by God.
Keep reading, please.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
So He took His disciples away from Jerusalem to Ephraim. From there, Jesus took His disciples to Galilee for a while.
In chapter 12, verse 1: “Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom He raised from the dead.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Let’s see these government agents do that. Let’s see the false accusers do that. Let me see how many souls you’re saving out there. Let me see how many souls you are helping.
We have letters from all over the world. We’re helping starving children in Africa, India, and here in the United States—men, women, and children. We’ve given people water, electricity, food, and clothing, and more than all that, the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Good. Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader, reading Scripture/teaching notes:
“So they made Him a supper there; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with Him.
“Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
The cost of this ointment at that time was about the equivalent of eleven months’ wages. That’s how much it cost.
But who more deserves it than Jesus? Amen? Or, I would say, people preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, because it is the Lord in them living out His life in us.
We’re the continuation of Christ on earth, I teach. If you’re attacking us, you’re attacking Christ, because I say the Bible says so.
When the Lord met Paul on the road to Damascus, He said, “Why are you persecuting Me?” Paul could have said, “I’m not fighting You, Lord. I’m fighting these Christians.”
But Jesus is God, and He was saying, “You’re fighting the Christians; you’re fighting Me.” Amen?
Paul never answered back, “Well, I’m not fighting You. I’m fighting these Christians.” He understood that Christ was in those Christians because they never recanted. They never turned against Jesus. They were willing to go to their deaths.
But I say people in this world today are not willing to give up anything, especially their flesh, their deteriorating bodies, their lying tongues, and the things of this world. They’re not willing to give these things up for the Gospel.
I warn that the Lord will not let unrepentant people out of hell or the lake of fire. I use harsh language toward people I regard as enemies of the Gospel and call them devils because, I say, that is biblical language.
Continue on.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
“And the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
“Then saith one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray Him—”
Speaker 1 – Host:
Judas had heard of the offer from the high priest and the elite: “We want to find somebody who is going to show us where Jesus is. We have to find Him.”
What Caiaphas didn’t realize was that Jesus intended to be found, because Jesus came into this world to be taken by the high priest and the Roman soldiers and killed for the sins of the world.
So everything Caiaphas was doing was actually defeating Satan’s cause and doing what the Lord intended to happen.
There would be no possibility of our getting saved if Christ wasn’t captured and betrayed and taken to be killed for the sins of the world.
A lot of people say Judas had to do it, but the Bible says it would have been better for that man if he had never been born, because he betrayed the King of Glory, the Author of our salvation, our Creator.
I teach there is no possibility that Judas went to Heaven. I say false prophets tell otherwise to encourage people to think they can betray God and escape judgment.
The Bible warns against calling people fools in a self-righteous way, but it also speaks of the fool who says there is no God. I’m telling you what I understand Jesus and the Bible to say. Amen?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Keep going.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
One of Jesus’ disciples, intending to betray Him, said in verse 5, “Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?”
Verse 6: “This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
He’d pilfer. He’d go in and take some of it: “I want to get myself something today, so I’m going to take some of that out. Forget the ministry.”
Okay, then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
“Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of My burying hath she kept this.
“For the poor always ye have with you; but Me ye have not always.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
One time, I remember taking care of Benji. Benji was one of the kids in the church. His mother left him in his crib, and Susan and I adopted him. She left a letter saying we should raise him, so we raised him.
Susan was very sick in bed in Nashville, and this little boy was running around the house. I had to watch him. Then Susan called me into the bedroom because she needed something.
She said, “Look, Benji you’ll always have with you, but you won’t always have me with you.”
I thought about it because she was telling me to take care of Benji, and it was like the same words the Lord says: “The poor you’ll always have with you, but you won’t always have Me.”
I marveled at her saying that. Then I realized how sick she was.
Later, Benji gave up serving the Lord, I say, and went to be with his mother, who had left him in the crib and gone away. That was tragic for him.
Go ahead and read.
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Verse 9: “Much people of the Jews therefore knew that He was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom He had raised from the dead.
“But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.”
Speaker 1 – Host:
Don’t be curious—you raise somebody from the dead, people want to see him. Amen?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
Amen.
Speaker 1 – Host:
The three hundred pence were, according to the teaching notes being read, approximately equivalent to eleven months’ wages. The perfume was customarily used on a body for burial in that day and time.
Caiaphas was the leader of the religious group called the Sadducees. He was educated and wealthy.
The Bible tells us that being wealthy is a dangerous thing because people can get their minds set on this world and on the things money can buy.
The Sadducees were politically influential in the nation as an elite group. They were on fairly good terms with Rome because of the money and connections they had.
I teach that they hated Jesus because He endangered their secure lifestyles and taught a message they could not accept: a Kingdom in which leaders served poor people. This message had no appeal to them. They wanted to relax and protect their position.
Caiaphas’s policy, as I describe it, was to remove any threat to his power by whatever means necessary. He wanted to protect his power and his lifestyle. He didn’t want to go serve the Lord.
Then what?
Speaker 2 – Sharon / Reader:
To Caiaphas, whether Jesus should die was not in question. Jesus had to die. The only point that needed to be settled was when and where His death should take place.
Not only did Jesus have to be captured and tried, but the Jewish council also had to get permission or approval from Rome before they could carry out the death sentence.
Caiaphas’s plans were unexpectedly helped by one of the Lord’s followers. Judas’s offer to betray Christ came as a pleasant surprise to them.
Caiaphas didn’t realize that his schemes were actually part of a wonderful plan God was carrying out.
Caiaphas’s willingness to sacrifice another man to preserve his own security was clearly selfish. By contrast, Jesus was willing to die for every human being who would accept Him, a clear example of how selfless and loving Jesus was.
Caiaphas thought he had won the battle as Jesus hung on the cross, but he didn’t count on the resurrection.
Caiaphas’s mind was closed. He couldn’t accept the resurrection, even when the evidence of the resurrection was, in this teaching, presented as overwhelming, and he attempted to silence those whose lives had been changed by their belief in the risen Christ.
Matthew, chapter 28, verses 12 through 13.
Caiaphas represents those people who will not believe because they think they’re going to lose something—that it would cost them too much to accept Jesus as Lord. They choose the fleeting power, prestige, and pleasures of this life instead of the eternal life God offers those who receive His Son.
Speaker 1 – Host:
Those of you in radio land, what is your choice? Do you accept Jesus or Caiaphas? You have to make a decision.
If you say, "Well, not tonight," then tonight—or this afternoon or this morning, whenever you're hearing this broadcast—you're automatically receiving Caiaphas's side, really.
If you die sometime today or in the middle of the night, your soul is going to go directly to its destination. I say that's for sure.
There are Scriptures about the rich man in hell and another Lazarus who was in comfort in the Kingdom of Heaven. The rich man was saying, "Warn my brothers about this place." He was told they had been warned. He said, "Send them somebody who has been raised from the dead." Jesus was raised from the dead, and people still don't believe it—especially today.
I see that my time is up. It is very necessary, if you want to go to Heaven, to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You're either going to accept Him or say, "I don't want anything to do with Him."
There are people out there who will accept the Lord Jesus Christ. You receive Him by saying this prayer. Say it right now with all your heart and soul, because it's for you.
You're not going to give up anything. You're going to get all the blessings of the Kingdom of Heaven, the commonwealth of the Kingdom of God.
The way to have God's life living in you is to say this prayer now. Say it with all your heart:
"My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, and I believe He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my filthy sins.
"I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.
"I open the door of my heart and invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. Wash all my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed for me.
"You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus. You will save my soul. I know because Your Word says so. Your Word says that You'll turn no one away. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
"Therefore, I know You've heard me, and I know You've answered me, and I know I'm saved.
"And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul."
Raise your hands up and praise and thank the Lord for saving your soul. Let us know so we can say something about this marvelous thing that has happened to you on our radio program.

Okay, now we're going to go off the air with a song that I sang. It's called "I'll Walk with God."
I heard that song when I was unsaved, and it brought me—I'm not a crier—but it brought me to tears when I heard Mario Lanza sing it in a movie called The Student Prince.
I thought one day I'd really love to sing that song. [Arranger's name unclear] was one of the very best arrangers I knew, and he arranged songs for me.
So listen up: "I'll Walk with God."
Speaker 1 – Host, singing:
I'll walk with God
From this day on.
His helping hand
I'll lean upon.
This is my prayer,
[unclear lyric].
There is no fear
When I'm near to Him.
I'll lean on Him forever,
And He will forsake me never.
He will not fail me
As long as my faith is strong.
Whatever road I may walk alone,
I'll walk with God.
I'll take His hand.
I'll walk with God;
He'll understand.
I'll pray to Him,
Each day to Him,
And He'll hear the words that I say.
[Unclear lyric].
And I’ll never walk alone
While I walk with God.
I'll walk with God.
