See How This Works?

When Authority Rebels Against God’s Law

Romans 13, Civil Authority, and the Limits of Submission
This episode of Sons of Liberty Radio opens by challenging a common Christian response to government overreach: “What about Romans chapter 13?” Bradlee Dean argues that many Christians use Romans 13 either because they are misinformed or because they want an escape from personal responsibility. He reads or paraphrases the passage and emphasizes that civil authority is limited by its God-defined purpose: to punish evil and praise good. From the beginning, the episode frames submission to government not as unlimited obedience, but as obedience within the boundaries of God’s law and moral order.

Christian Hypocrisy, Constitutional Ignorance, and the Role of the Church
After the show’s introductory and promotional material, Bradlee discusses recent conversations in which people criticized Christians, churches, and politics while, in his view, misunderstanding both Scripture and the Constitution. He argues that the church is supposed to be the moral compass of society and that the American system of government was institutionalized on common law rooted in biblical principles. He rejects the idea that Christianity and government are separate subjects, citing James Wilson and the imagery of Moses, the Ten Commandments, John Locke, Montesquieu, and Blackstone in civic settings. His central point is that many who criticize Christian involvement in public life do so from a biblically and constitutionally illiterate framework.

False Professions, Celebrity Christianity, and Fruit-Based Judgment
A substantial portion of the episode addresses public figures who profess Christian beliefs while, according to Bradlee, producing fruit that contradicts those claims. He uses Roman Reigns, professional wrestling, Hollywood actors, Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and political figures as examples of what he sees as public religious language without biblical obedience. Bradlee argues that merely saying Jesus is the Son of God is not the same as walking in the light, and he repeatedly points listeners to the biblical teaching that people should be judged by their fruit. He connects this to the broader problem of desensitization, entertainment, and Christians accepting worldly professions of faith without discernment.

The Biblical Case Against Unquestioned Obedience to Tyranny
The heart of the episode returns to Romans 13 and argues that no human authority has unlimited jurisdiction. Bradlee uses examples from Scripture and history to test the idea of absolute submission, including the medieval custom of prima nocta, Moses defending a Hebrew from an Egyptian taskmaster, Elijah confronting Ahab and Jezebel, David refusing to surrender to Saul, Daniel disobeying a corrupt law against prayer, the three Hebrew children refusing to bow, John the Baptist rebuking Herod, the apostles continuing to preach, and Paul suffering imprisonment. His argument is that Scripture does not teach blind submission to evil, but rather obedience to God above tyrannical or unlawful commands.

Resistance, Forefathers, and Christ as the Model of Authority
Bradlee then connects biblical resistance to American founding-era examples and Christian history. He cites Patrick Henry, Abraham Lincoln, Charles de Montesquieu, and other references to argue that liberty is the right to do what God’s law permits, not permission to do whatever one wants. He also points to Jesus confronting the money changers, speaking boldly, rebuking religious hypocrites, and warning the women on the way to Calvary as examples that love and authority can include confrontation. Bradlee’s repeated phrase “resistance to tyranny is obedience to God” becomes a key summary of his view that Christians are not called to submit to corrupt rule when it violates God’s commands.

Ministry Callings, Correction, and the Need for Biblical Discernment
Near the end, callers Henry and John briefly enter the conversation, and Bradlee uses John’s call to discuss different ministry callings, including apostles, prophets, teachers, evangelists, and pastors. He argues that correction, reproof, and instruction are not unloving but are part of Scripture’s purpose and part of genuine love. Bradlee distinguishes different functions within the body of Christ while insisting that all should ultimately point toward repentance and the kingdom of heaven. The episode closes with reminders about Sons of Liberty Sunday services, merchandise, support opportunities, and the call for listeners to study Scripture, judge by fruit, and resist tyranny through obedience to God.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

It seems that every time someone such as myself attempts to encourage our Christian brothers and sisters to resist an unconstitutional or otherwise reprehensible government policy, we hear the retort.

What about Romans chapter 13?
We Christians must submit to government any government.
Read your Bible and just leave me alone or words to that effect.
No doubt, some who use this argument are sincere.
They are only repeating what they've heard there said spiritual overseers or other religious leaders say.
And on the other hand, let's be honest enough to admit that some who use this argument are just plain lazy, apathetic and indifferent.
And Romans 13 is their escape from personal responsibility.
I suspect this is the much larger group by the way.
Nevertheless, for the benefit of those who are sincere but obviously misinformed, let's briefly examine Romans chapter 13.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers, for there is no power but of God.
The powers that be are ordained of God, whosoever therefore resisted the power, resisted the ordinance of God, and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
For rulers are not a tear to good works, but to the evil will thou then not be afraid of the power?
Do that which is good and thou shall have the praise of the same?
For he is the minister of God to thee for good, but if thou do that which is evil be afraid, for he beareth not the sword in vain.
For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Wherefore you must needs be subject not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
Do our Christian friends who use these verses to teach that we should not oppose the said president or any other political representative really believe that civil magistrates have unlimited authority to do anything that they want to without opposition?
I doubt they truly believe that.

For example, what if our president decided to resurrect the old monarchal custom of prima nocta?
That's the law of first night.
That was the old medieval custom when the king claimed the right to sleep with the subjects bride on the first night of their marriage.
Would our sincere Christian brethren sheepishly say, Romans chapter 13 says we must submit to the government?
I think not.
And would any of us respect any man who would submit to such a law?
So there are limits to authority.
A father has authority in his home, but does this give him the power to abuse his wife and children?
Of course not.
An employer has authority on the job, but does this give him power to control the private lives of his employees?
No.
A spiritual overseer has overseer authority in the church, but this does not give him the power to tell his ministers in his church as to how to run their businesses.
Of course not.
All human authority is limited in nature.
No man has unlimited authority over the lives of other men.
Lordship in sovereignty is the exclusive domain of Jesus Christ.
By the same token, a civil magistrate has authority in civil matters, but his authority is limited and defined.
Observe that Romans chapter 13 clearly limits the authority of civil government by strictly defining its purpose.
For rulers are not a tear to good works, but to the evil.
For he is the minister of God to thee for good.
For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Notice that civil government must not be a tear to good works.
It has no power or authority to terrorize good works or good people.
Because God never gave it that authority.
And any government that oversteps that divine boundary has no divine authority or protection.
Civil government is a minister of God to thee for good.
It is not a minister of God for evil.
Civil magistrates have a divine duty to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
They have no authority to execute wrath upon him that doeth good, none zilch, zero.
And anyone who says they do is lying.
So even in the midst of telling Christians to submit to civil authority, Romans chapter 13 limits the power and reach of civil authority.

Did Moses violate God's principle of submission to authority when he killed the Egyptian taskmaster?

Speaker 2 – Prerecorded Historical Quotation Voice:

Revolutionary soldier, judge, legislator, educator, schoolmaster to America, none other than Noah Webster said.
The religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and his apostles.
This is genuine Christianity and to this we owe our free constitutions of government.
The moral principles and precepts found in the scripture ought to form the basis of all of our civil constitutions and laws.
He goes on. All the evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.
Our citizens should early understand that the genuine source of correct republican principles is the Bible, particularly the New Testament or the Christian religion.

Speaker 2 – Prerecorded Sons of Liberty Intro / Promo Voice:

The Sons of Liberty is a politically neutral organization.
We believe that the Christian ethic has provided the principles on which this nation was founded.
It is our belief that these principles provide not only the foundation and framework for American government but are also essential to the maintenance of a fair and just society.
All program content is based on a Christian biblical worldview.
What have you said to me recently that we should not rock the boat?
Ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you that I am a boat rock.
A boat rock.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

Hello friends, as well as a few enemies, scoffers, atheists, lunatics, weirdos and assorted bad guys.
And of course, all of you good guys and girls out there, welcome to the Sons of Liberty.
You have with yours truly Mr. Bradlee Dean.
You know, it's insane to me because I'm the only guy ever to be brought into a conversation or I bring myself into concerning conversations where people will talk and they'll go back and forth having a conversation and all the well knowing that I'm there, it's like they don't want to hear my input.
And I want to tell you why because in this conversation that we have here on radio friends, there's no room for debate.
It's not like we're going to sit there and play a bunch of diplomats, you know, play the seductive ones and compromising the word of God away or the constitutional way.
You know, people love when they have conversations where they can put their comments in, their opinions in, which are completely contrary to the Bible and the Word of God away or the constitutional way.
What's your completely contrary to the Bible and the Constitution?
So when they're talking about issues that don't matter and then I weigh in on the conversation, they all the well know the reason they're ignoring me is because I'm going to give them the answers that they're talking around.
It makes absolutely no sense to me and I've seen it a couple times this week.
I'm just thinking to myself, okay, hey guys, I'm over here.
You guys are having a conversation.
Your face is halfway turned this way.
So almost like you're putting your hand in my face barring me from this conversation.
And it's like, that's okay.
I don't have to be a part of the conversation.
If you guys don't want the answers, then that's fine.
You know, I had another guy say to me one time, oh, there's Mr. No et all.
And it's like, hey, I'm on national radio.
It's probably a pretty good idea that I'm studied up and I know what I'm talking about.
And if I don't, I'll stay out of school or I'll stand corrected or I'll ask someone else to explain it.
And that's usually when Foreign View between though it is, we'll bring guests upon the show.
That's usually one of the things we don't know what we're talking about.
But I believe that more than anything, what we're doing here, friends, is targeting exactly what needs to be dealt with concerning the resolve that we all claim that what we're looking for.
But why is it that people don't want that?
Do you know that they said of the prophets?
They said nothing to them?
Do you know what they said of Jesus?
And I'm talking about the Herodians and I'm talking about the Pharisees that Jesus warned us of in Mark 8:15.
You know what they said to him in front of the people?
Nothing.
Because of his gains say number one and number two is they knew that he had the answers that they didn't have.
But somehow or another people like to go to those people that don't really have the answers that continuously play the game.
Now let's bring it to the present.
Yesterday I'd highlighted what?
What do you expect the outcome to be if you're playing by the rules of those that have contrived and devised a new set of rules outside of the scope of authority given unto us by our God and our forefathers?
And that's how you get in trouble.
You just stay away from the facts.
As John Adams rightly said, facts are stubborn things.
I want to make one more point.
Had another guy today.
All the well-knowing who I was.
He goes on a rant for 10-15 minutes.
He runs a national organization.
He's talking about how people need to quit being cowards and yet this individual moved from the state because of threats that he was getting from the attorney general.
Okay.
So first of all, he's not practicing what he's preaching.
Number one.
And then he goes on this rant talking about how Christians are this and institutionalized and they're all political, this, that, and the other thing.
And so what I did is I just took the time and I said, listen, first of all, the church is called to be the moral compass of society.
We're called to be the light.
And I said, secondly, the Lord is the one that institutionalized the government that we have today.
That's premised and predicated upon common law.
So your rant has no bearings fundamentally when it comes to who we are and where we came from.
And I said, secondly, James Wilson said that these are the two sciences that run together.
And I said, if anybody's got a problem with this, why don't you go to your capital regardless of what state you're in and go behind the Supreme Court.
And you're going to notice that a big mural, like in the state of Minnesota, Moses receiving the Ten Commandments.
Exodus 20. And on the way out, you're going to see one of those in English common law.
He was an architect and author of his name was John Locke along with Charles de Montesquieu and William Blackstone, where he said where God's law ends, tyranny begins.
And then I said, isn't it interesting that these two sciences run together so much so that you said politicians before they serve the people, they put their hand on the Bible.
And then I said, after that, this is my final point, this is not a two party system.
These people get comments after comments after comments after comments.
And again, friends, reiterating the point 1000 times over to say the least.
These are the ones that say they don't believe the mainstream media, but yet everything that they parent that comes out of their mouths is parroting the media they say they don't believe in.
And yet they're calling politicians and they're calling profess Christians hypocrite, pretenders.
Folks, how do you work with the people like that? First of all, you're talking outside of the scope of the Constitution.
You're talking about a two party system that doesn't exist. We talked about that yesterday.
And I said, first of all, I'm sorry, first of all, first of all, first of all, right?
But I said, you got to understand something. You're rebuking the hypocrisy of the Christians for being political when in fact you better understand who institutionalized that system of government upon common law.
That was the Lord. You're not going to get away from it. I'm still waiting for that phone call 25 years later to come in and confront otherwise concerning the information that I'm giving to you.
And what I'm doing is making reference to the facts, to the answers that so many declare that they want.
And I'll tell you, folks, and this is probably the third time I've highlighted this over the last three weeks, could it quite equating Christians to hypocrites?
Because you better understand something that nobody rebuked the religious hypocrites more than Jesus Christ did.
Don't blame Christians for what Christians don't do. And it shows you how biblically illiterate people have become in this country.
Now, I'm talking both constitutionally and biblically. And what I would like to do today on the show is I'd like to put them together so you can understand.
But I want to tell you this, too. If you don't, I just want to explain to you why you now have a pagan view of government in this country, where the state is divine, the state's authority is unlimited.
It leads to state worship results in tyranny in its based upon evolution.
Because you are the ones that are leading the way with your non-constitutional, non-biblical talk by parroting the mainstream media.
We have a biblical view of government where the state is divinely ordained by God, in Jesus' name, state's authority is limited because we have a limited republic.
It leads to patriotism where we uphold the law, not remove it, and it results in a republic, Article IV, Section 4, because it's based on creation.
That's where I'm going today. We'll be right back, SonsOfLibertyRadio.com, SonsOfLibertyMedia.com.

A signer of the Declaration of Independence, a diplomat, governor of Virginia, Secretary of State, and the third president of the United States of America.
The doctrines of Jesus are simple and tend all to the happiness of man. The practice of morality being necessary for the well-being of society, he, God, has taken care to impress its precepts so indelibly on our hearts that they shall not be effaced by the subtleties of our brain.
We all agree in the obligation of the moral principles of Jesus, and nowhere will they be found delivered in greater purity than in his discourses.
I am a Christian in the only sense in which he wished anyone to be sincerely attached to his doctrines in preferences to all others. Thomas Jefferson stated, I am a real Christian. That is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 2 – Prerecorded Sons of Liberty Church Promo Voice:

Don’t have a place to go to church on Sunday? Then come join us at the Sons of Liberty and Bradlee Dean.
For many people, finding a home church that preaches the gospel in accordance with the Scripture can be difficult.
Many churches today have become self-help centers and very humanistic without pointing their finger to Christ and the cross that all genuine Christians must bear, just as our Lord did.
If you are looking for a church that preaches the truth without compromise from the inherent word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, then look no further than joining us every Sunday at 9 a.m. Central Time on the Sons of Liberty Radio live on Rumble.
I want to thank Bradley and the Sons of Liberty for all they're doing to wake people up and to get our nation back to the constitutional republic that it was set up to be. Thanks Bradley.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

You know what I was just highlighting during the first segment friends? Those that call themselves Christian conservatives.
How do I help? A people that refuse to see the error of their ways?
I mean, it's like what Spurgeon said. I mean, these people can be transported to the sun and they wouldn't see it because they don't want to see it and they wonder why.
But folks, it gives them something to talk about. They refuse to see the truth for what it is, but they have something to talk about.
They call themselves Christian conservatives, yet they hold not to the word of God.
Right? Number one and number two, they hold not to the Constitution. So how are they Christian conservatives when their conversation is outside of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is found in Philippians chapter one?
This is how stupefied people have become. Matter of fact, here let me show you something here because this is insane.

Folks, if this is the first time listening to the SonsOfLibertyRadio.com, do remember that this is the radio show where we think for ourselves and make not the others the measure of our conduct.
And why is that friends? Because it is a terrible place to be when your brains are in someone else's head.

I want to show you this, folks, and I'll spell it out for you, affiliates. We just picked up another one yesterday out of Florida, Jacksonville area.
Thank you for your trust. Someone posted this, and what was odd is it says Roman Reignss, a pro wrestler, declares Jesus Christ is the son of God.
Well, let me just tell you this, first off, the devil's believing tremble, okay? Just so you know, the devil's believing tremble.
Roman Reigns, a pro wrestler, all the well knows that he's deceiving the people into buying tickets.
That's something concerning that which is premised on a total lie.
I don't think there's anybody in the world that believes pro wrestling is real.
Does anybody, it's just like politics. Remember what Jesse Ventura said, former governor from the state of Minnesota?
What did he say? He said, politics and pro wrestling are identical. They're fake. It's all staged. It's pre-planned.
Go to politics. What did Roosevelt say back in the 30? He said that there's nothing that happens in politics that's not first planned.
But you can act like it's just happening by chance. Regardless of someone from the inside, in other words,
somebody that you can't ask in a higher degree than the said president of the United States of America concerning the relativism,
or should I say maybe that's the wrong word, but the reality and the legitimacy of what it is when it comes to government.
He's the one. I didn't say it. He said that politics, nothing happens. That's not first planned.
Okay. And then Ventura also said pro wrestling is the exact same way and how much worse today?
But now what I want you to understand is Roman Reignss, the pro wrestler deceiving people in the masses trying to act as if what he's doing is real so he can sell tickets.
That's all he has to do is declare just like a politician that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Oh, he is the son of God.
There's no question about it. But what was odd about this, Francis? I noticed somebody posted on there, uh, uh, Bradley.
So now, now what do you think of this? Like they got one over on me. And I thought, well, that was kind of weird.
Just in the middle of 285 comments, some guy throws my name in there and points his finger at me. Hey, friends, I got a question for you.
Why is he putting the question to me? Because he knows I'm going to tell him the truth.
And he knows that I'm probably one of the only ones that's going to tell them the truth. And I did.
I said, you've got to be kidding me. I said, is Roman Reigns a Christian? The way that you want to portray him as being a Christian as he's deceiving the masses to sell tickets concerning pro wrestling that nobody believes?
I didn't know that's what scripture says. It says, if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship as one with another.
This doesn't have a little light in then a little darkness straddling the church in the world trying to justify the fact that, well, he's the son of God and I speak as a man, but I'm trying to make a point.
No, the Bible says a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways. Let not that man think he's going to receive anything from God.
Folks, they can call themselves Christians all day. You see Hollywood actors doing that. And the only reason they're doing that, friends, is because they're dumbing you down. They're desensitizing you.
The Lord said that friendship with the world is enmity with God. And speaking of said actors, these fallen stars that are Hollywood that profess to be Christians.
Let me ask you something. Does their actions speak a lot louder than their words? Is it interesting? Those that profess to be Christians, how they're just bent set on demoralizing and demoralizing the people through their actions and through their acting on screen?
Is it godly what they're portraying? Absolutely not. I mean, you got Denzel Washington who, folks, this guy acts like the world can't wait to hear what direction his fingers going to be pointed next so that the whole world can follow in pursuit.
There's not been a bigger hypocrite on the face of the earth than a Denzel Washington. Or how about a Chris Pratt?
Oh, the list goes on, folks, denying Christ in marvel blatantly. I mean, folks, everybody can call themselves the Christians, but you know Christians buy their fruit.
And these devils that are professing Christianity better understand something, the fruit that they're bearing does nothing to glorify the Christ, but only to do what?
She showed their hypocracies and to receive a greater damnation. And that's exactly what people better understand.
You better understand, folks, the scriptures are absolute. They're not lukewarm. Nope, the scriptures say to the lukewarm that it's better for you to be hot or cold because if you're lukewarm, I'll spew you out of my heart.
Be you out of my mouth. The Lord said to follow him in holiness. He said to be holy as I am holy. And yes, it's a work of the Holy Ghost.
And no, we don't get holy to go to Christ. We go to Christ who makes us holy. Titus 3:5.
But again, I want you to make clear that Jesus is glorified by the fruit that's borne through us, by a work of the Holy Spirit, not by a profession of their mouth.
And furthermore, when you look at 1 Corinthians 12, it says that you cannot say that Jesus is Christ except by the Holy Ghost.
People wake up, read the Bible, get rid of this nonsense that people just because they call themselves Christians or conservatives, you judge them by their fruit.
And the fruit that they're bearing is bringing no glory, no glory, zero glory to the kingdom of God.
They're merely showing the world for those that know the Word of God, how in fact that they are hypocrites from the top of their head to the very souls of their feet, and I am sick and tired of all of it.
And hopefully you are too, folks, because there's never been a greater time for you to understand and to know the word 2 Timothy 2:15.
And that is what? 2, 15, sorry, 2 Timothy 2:15.
To study and show yourself approved unto God a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Folks, we need to understand what the word says because as people all day long blame Christians for a lack of Christianity because of their biblical literacy, a lot of you are taking that on because you don't know the difference as well, which only lumps you into the same lot with the hypocrites.
And far be it from you that you go down, folks, the blind leading the blind, you all end up in a ditch.
If you want to know why you're in a ditch, turn around and get back on the straight and narrow and follow the Christ in him alone.
I said, and follow him alone.
He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life no one comes to the Father but by me.
Not by Roman, reign, not by Denzel Washington.
Gosh, embarrassing, embarrassing, embarrassing to say the least.

Folks, if you want to call in 281-845-4704, you, Henry, got about a minute and a half, my friend. It's all yours.

Speaker 5 – Henry / Caller:

Hey, everybody. Oh, I don't, this little book just sawed on my Hollywood freaking, well, you know who they are.
Get it, tell us something.
Wow.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

That’s how desensitized the people that become Henry that they actually do just for face value.

Speaker 5 – Henry / Caller:

I keep telling everybody, Bradlee, every single freaking day, they are stand up.
I mean, I don't get it. They know their crimes. They're all guilty.
That's on both on constitutional sides.
I mean, they sell themselves to who? What's his name, Bradlee?
Mileikowsky.
I mean, they can't even get the real name.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

No, and they don’t want to hear his real name because they want to go along with the deception and you'll see over and over throughout the prophets, both major and minor prophets, the people deceived themselves.
And they went along with the leading of the misleading and the nefariousness of those that were doing the leading and that's why they ended up being judged by God.
And the Lord is in control.
That's right.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

So the Lord is in control.
You're right, Bradlee.
100, you're right 100%.
I mean, I just, I was sitting there on your platform.
I got kicked out to the front page three times over to another platform.
I had no clue what it was.
I mean, come on.
Interesting.
You got a heartbreak. Sorry about that. Henry, SonsOfLibertyRadio.com.

Speaker 2 – Prerecorded Historical Quotation Voice:

John Dickinson stated all artful rulers who strive to extend their power beyond its just limits,
endeavor to give their attempts as much resemblance or semblance of legality as possible.
And when we look to Ephesians 4:14, we can see exactly where John Dickinson extracted the light from that exposes the darkness when making his point.
That we, henceforth, be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

We should be inexcusable to God, to our posterity, to the whole world.
If we hesitated a single moment in asserting our right and repelling,
we should be inexcusable to God, to our posterity, to the whole world.
If we hesitated a single moment in asserting our right and repelling,
the attacks of lawless power. Reverend Peter Thacher.

Speaker 2 – Prerecorded Historical Quotation Voice:

President Theodore Roosevelt said to announce that there must be no criticism of the President or that we are to stand by the President right or wrong,
is not only unpatriotic in servile, but it is morally treasonable to the American public.
Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or anyone else, but it is even more important to tell the truth pleasant or unpleasant about him than about anyone else.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

Welcome back again to the Sons of Liberty. So let's get to this.
It is one of those issues again where if you want to understand how it all works together, folks, this is how it works together.
We are hearing all day long and it was something that I started during the first and second segment is how we are not supposed to be a part of politics and those that are apart,
and this is what they are doing and they are talking about the hypocrites within the church and then trying to equate that to real Christianity and talking about how they are promoting this,
concerning the institution of government and they shouldn't be there and all this other stuff.
You guys are both on the outskirts, I'm sorry, on both sides of the issue.
I said it earlier and I want to say it one more time, especially for those that are just joining us now.
They call themselves Christian conservatives and yet they don't even know what the word of God says and then they don't even know what the Constitution says and yet they are going to sit there and tell us all how it works.
No folks, they are deceived. And again when the Bible says in Matthew 15:14 that the blind lead the blind, they are all going to end up in a ditch.
Remember, nobody rebuked those people more than Christ did. Read Matthew 23 for one scriptural reference.
And we need to make distinction and that's why I constantly come back to the straight and narrow and giving you what it says in making reference to the word of God and to the Constitution because this is what our forefathers brought together.
James Wilson said it's the two sciences that run together. They are not separate. They are one because it's the Lord that established it through the church, right?
It's interesting that when you look at Romans 13, anybody at any given time attempts to encourage those that call themselves Christian brothers or sisters to resist an unconstitutional or otherwise reprehensible government policy, which undermines the Constitution.
We always hear the retort almost without fail.

What about Romans chapter 13? And what we do is we Christians, they say, must submit to government any government, read your Bible and leave me alone or words to that effect.
And no doubt some of us have used this argument that they're sincere, but they're just misinformed.
They are only repeating on them, not on us to their shame, not on us. What they have heard their said pastor or spiritual overseers to say.
Yet on the other hand, let's be honest enough to admit that some of those who use this argument are just plain lazy, apathetic and indifferent. They're hell bound. Let's put it that way.
And Romans 13 is their escape from responsibility or so they think. Okay. And I suspect that this is a much larger group that I'm speaking to today.
So when we begin to look at that and this topic in running the two together, it's interesting for the benefit of those who are sincere, but obviously misinformed.
I want to take the time and let you know what Romans chapter 13 verse one actually says so people can understand for themselves. They don't have to take it for somebody else's word.
So what we're going to do is we're going to keep it in context with reference to the word of God bringing it about so you can understand the inspired inspiration our forefathers received in writing the US Constitution.
What does it say? It says in Romans 13, let every soul be subject under the higher powers for there's no power, but of God. Listen carefully.
The powers that are ordained of God, who's whoever therefore resisted the power resisted the ordinance of God and they that resist shall receive themselves damnation.
For said rulers, we do not have rulers. We have representatives, but scripture says for rulers are not a tear to good works, but to the evil. Okay, we're seeing just the exact opposite today.
Then it goes on will thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good and thou shall have praise of your said representatives for he that is a minister of God to thee for good.
That's why he's been appointed, but if thou do that which is evil be afraid for he bear not the sword in vain for he is the minister of God, a revenge or a magistrate.
And it goes on a revenge or to execute wrath upon him that do with evil, not good.
Wherefore you must needs be subject not only for wrath, but also for conscience sakes with knowledge. And then it talks about paying your tribute also for their God's ministers attending continually upon this very thing.
Render therefore all their dues tribute to whom tribute is due custom to whom customers do fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Okay, so we've seen what it said. We heard what it said. Now, I got a question for the professors.
And I want to talk about those that don't know and those that are in the hole trying to figure this out. I want to help pull you out with this information.
But when we look at this, namely our Christian friends who use these verses to teach that we should not oppose the said representative government or any other political representative.
Do they really believe that civil magistrates, which is a biblical word, have unlimited authority to do anything they want without opposition?
But that's how the people in this country have been braub eaten. That's exactly where they're at.
They think that the federal and the state government said representatives can do whatever they want to do without recourse without impunity friends when they violate law.
Let me give you a couple examples. What if the said president decided to resurrect the old monarch, the custom of prima nocta?
It's law of the first night. And what is that? That was when the old medieval custom. That's where the king claimed the right to sleep with a subject's bride on the first night of their marriage.
I'm not making this up. This is factual information. So therefore, would our sincere Christian brethren, she'd personally say, well, Romans 13 says we must submit to the government. So go ahead and have at my wife.
I don't think so. And would any of us respect any man who would submit to us such law? No, absolutely not. Neither would his wife.
She wouldn't be betrothed to him any longer. You can rest assured if that was the case.
So in other words, Bible tells us that there's limits to authority. So a father has authority in his home, but does this give him power to abuse his wife and his children? No.
An employer has authority on the job, but does this give him power to control the private lives of his employees? Absolutely not.
A spiritual overseer has authority in the church, but does this give him power to tell his employers or his said ministers in his church how to run their said businesses? Of course not.
All human authority is limited in nature. So no man has unlimited authority over the lives of other men.
And leadership and sovereignty is the exclusive domain of Jesus Christ and him alone.
And by the same token, a civil magistrate has authority in civil matters, but his authority is limited and it's defined.
So if you observe that Romans chapter 13 clearly limits the authority of civil government by strictly defining its purpose for rulers are not a tear to good works, but to the evil, for he is the minister of God to their and for their good.
For he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. You can also go over to Timothy. I'm sorry, Peter 2 Peter 2, 14.
And notice that civil government must not be a tear to good works, but the other way around. It has power. It has no power. I'm sorry, or authority to terrorize good works or good people.
God never gave it that authority and any government that over steps that divine boundary has no divine authority or protection.
Civil government is a minister to God for thee for good. It is not a minister of God for evil. Civil magistrates have a divine duty to execute wrath upon them that do evil not good.
Just the exact opposite as to what you're seeing in this country today. They have no authority to execute wrath upon him that doeth good.
And anyone who says that they do, they're misinformed, they're ignorant, and they're also lying. So even in the midst of telling Christians to submit to civil authority, Roman chapter 13 limits the power and reach of civil authority.

So I got a question for him.

Did Moses violate God's principle of submission to authority when he killed the Egyptian taskmaster in defense of his fellow Hebrew?

Did Elijah violate God's principle of submission to authority when he openly challenged Ahab in Jezebel? The first one's Exodus 5. The second one is 1 Kings 18.

Did David violate God's principle of submission to authority when he refused to surrender to Saul's troops?

Did Daniel violate God's principles of submission to authority when he disobeyed the king, the corrupt king's law, to not pray audibly to God?

Did the three Hebrew children violate God's principles of submission to authority when they refused to bow to the image? Daniel 3?

Did John the Baptist violate God's principles of submission to authority when he publicly scolded King Herod for his infidelity?

Did Simon Peter and the other apostles violate God's principles of submission to authority when they refused to stop preaching on the streets of Jerusalem?

Did Paul violate God's principles of submission to authority when he refused to obey those authorities who demanded that he abandon his missions work in preaching Christ and him crucified? Did you know that Paul spent two-thirds of his time?
The one that was inspired by the Holy Ghost to write two-thirds of the New Testament? Did you know that two-thirds of the time he was in jail? Writing the inspired word by the power of the Holy Ghost? Did you know this people? Matter of fact, Paul spent almost as much time in jail as he did outside of jail. Remember that every apostle of Christ, except John, was murdered by hostile civil authorities opposed to the
endeavors. Christians throughout church history were in prison for doing the right thing, for doing the will of God. They were tortured, for obeying the Lord. They were killed and murdered by civil authorities for obeying the word of God.
And civil authorities have all stripes for what? Refusing to submit to the various policies and prohibitions that they created in the face of God's Word.
Folks, this lines up perfectly as what I continuously share with you that they're trying to create a world without God.
And I say, worry not my friends, because the system that the wicked are in, the Lord is sovereign over them too, and they're in his world, not the other way around.
We're going to take a quick break, SonsOfLibertyRadio.com, SonsOfLibertyMedia.com. Again, we'll be right back.

If you were looking for a church that preaches the truth without compromise from the inherent word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, then look no further than joining us every Sunday at 9 a.m. Central Time on the Sons of Liberty radio live on Rumble.

Speaker 4 – Judah Dean / Prerecorded Promo Voice:

Hello folks, this is Judah, son of Bradlee Dean. I'm sure you've heard of people talking about making a difference, or maybe even thought the same thing yourself.
Well, I can tell you from first-hand experience, traveling the nation and growing up with my dad and family, doing high school assemblies, churches, colleges, and universities, that the Sons of Liberty does just that.
Make a difference. Traveling across the nation and doing events, I can't tell you how many people's eyes have been open to the truth of America's founding and Christian values, to see the youth of America's founding,
Christian values, to see the youth of America's hope for the nation restored and not that they have a future, or even just having that person come up and tell you what a difference the Sons of Liberty has made in their lives and how they drew courage from our example to now take a stand themselves.
We bring you a hard rock hitting truth of the daily issues of America with a biblical and constitutional resolve, along with weighing out every issue on those two pillars.
If you're tired of hearing people's lip service or playing the paper tiger but tucked in on run when it's time to act, then come join us at the Sons of Liberty, where we preach the truth, make a difference, and put actions to our words.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

Welcome back again to the Sons of Liberty folks. I'm just highlighting right now people's understanding because what we've been told, and it really gets my dandruff, it really does, because we've been listening to this nonsense.
Far too long in this country. And what it is, is that we're supposed to just submit to anything in contrast to God's commands. You're not going to find that in Scriptures people.
You're going to find it in Jeremiah where the Lord was told, or actually the Lord told Jeremiah that there were those that were supposed to take into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar.
You have the Nebuchadnezzar, but that was for their good. But you're not going to find anywhere in Scripture friends where the Lord told his children to disobey himself in obedience to a tyrant.
But yet you're hearing this all day long in this country.
Or what you'll do Americans through idolatry and the Lord condemns that. It's the second commandment, phone and Exodus 20. You make man out to be in the place of Christ Jesus, which brings a curse upon your nation.
And you do that through your politicians, your favorite politicians and your favorite preachers. I'm just here to tell you, if the preacher is famous, I can rest assured.
And so can you that they're paid influencers. Okay. And they're all going the same direction. And I think we can all safely conclude that's the truth of the matter.
Same thing with the politicians. And what you're doing, folks, is you're observing right now in this country the church following corrupt politicians going headlong into hell rather than the other way around in obedience to the things of God, the way that our forefathers did.
Oh, speaking of our forefathers, did you know, speaking of this topic, Patrick Henry said Caesar had his Brutus Charles the first his Cromwell folks, you got to do your homework on some of these people.
It's very inspirational, but they didn't submit to corruption. They overthrew it. Okay. Remember how Abraham Lincoln love him or hate him was right when he said we're not called to overthrow the Constitution.
Well, that's what they were doing. They were throwing off the corrupt. They were the light that reproved the darkness. Go to Ephesians four or five 11 through 14.

But Caesar had his Brutus Charles the first is Cromwell and George III, that which our forefathers threw off. Look at the declaration of independence.
He said treason cried the speaker may profit by their example. If this be treason, Patrick Henry said of the corrupt king across the pond. He said, make the most of it. Boy, that's a different breed of men, isn't it? Are they telling you to submit to corruption? Nope.
They're leading by example to throw off that which offends God by the keeping of his commandments and establishing his judgments to establish righteousness and peace within the gate.
So, what's the aim of this five 15? Go to Isaiah 26:9. Go to Isaiah 54. When you get a moment, Isaiah 51:4. Forgive me. Also go look at the heart of God. And Jeremiah chapter nine.
Look at the throne of God. Look what he's established on Psalm 97. All the list goes on and on. Jeremiah 9:24. Forgive me.
But folks, where are you getting that you're supposed to submit to corruption? Because it's not from the Word of God. You're called to confront it.
You're called to reprove it. You're called to stand against it here. I want to tell you why because your said representatives don't have a right to advocate outside of your delegation aside of that. That which is lawful, unlawful.
Because liberty is not the right to do what you want to do. The liberty that is given unto us, Charles de Montesquieu said, is to do what? What the law permits? Who's law? The Lord's law. Period.

I mean, look at Moses confronting Pharaoh. Exodus 5 1. Daniel chapter 3. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

What about Daniel going down into the lion’s den? What was that lesson friends and the Lord sent forth the angels to protect him?
Isn't it interesting those that had Daniel thrown into the lions den? Do you realize that it's a righteous thing with the Lord to recompense tribulation under those that trouble the righteous?
Do you know that what they meant to do to Daniel that every single one of them from the father, the husband? I'm sorry from the husband to the wife to the children? They were all thrown into the lions den.
And that falls back to Deuteronomy 19:19. What about a have been confronted by none other than that Holy Prophet of God Elijah in 1 Kings 18.

Herod in Luke 3:19 was being rebuked by John the Baptist. Oh, we're not supposed to be a part of politics. Oh, we're supposed to just submit to whatever they say nonsense.
You're not going to find that in our history anywhere people anywhere.
I mean, the Lord even went so far and acts 12 seven through 11 where he said when Peter was thrown in jail and this happened several times.
The angel of the Lord came upon him. Peter that was thrown in prison. Prisons are not scriptural by the way.
In the Lord sent an angel to do what? Well, Peter's in prison unlawfully for preaching Christ crucified.

The angel sent by God. He smokes Peter on the side, raises him up and tells him as he kicks off the chains and breaks the chains off of Peter.
He said, arise quickly. And the Bible says in his hands, his chains fell off from his hands. Acts 12:7–11.
Just the exact opposite of what you're hearing from the higherlings in the pulpit today.
Just the exact opposite.

Well, some will say, well, Bradley, what about Jesus? Yeah.

Remember when the Herodians came to him and said, Hey, listen, Jesus, you better get out of here or else King Herod's going to kill you?
Oh, did you remember what Jesus did? I hope you do because Luke 13:32 tells us, I cast out devils. I do cures today and tomorrow and the third day I shall be perfected.
It's not possible that a prophet will be kicked out of here. He said, and Jesus said right off the bat to those that were coming and threatening the Son of God.
He said, go tell that Fox. People, you are so scarily desensitized that the road.
This is exactly why in part the roles have been turned backwards. When you submit to God, you don't put up with this nonsense you see within the corrupt halls of government or starting from the pulpets.
Just the opposite. You call them out. You protest them and you hold them accountable. I mean, folks, you act like Jesus didn't teach others as one having authority and not as the scribes.
Well, that's who he was. He wasn't like what you see today when he was on the scene, folks. He was a threat to their whole system of corruption, Matthew 7:29.
It also tells us in John 7:26 that he spoke boldly forward to danger and they say nothing unto him.
I mean, we're talking about the Jesus that went into the temple of God cast out all of those that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the money changers and the seats of them that sold those.
Well, say, well, Bradley, well, you know, if that was the case, wasn't Christ crucified by these people? Yep, he was.
And isn't it interesting when the people at large and as a whole allowed him to be crucified? Do you remember in scripture where the women were walking behind Jesus as he was bearing his cross going up to Calvary to be crucified for the sins of the world, which was ordained
and predestined by the living God, which was a judgment upon the system of corruption, namely the father of it, Satan himself.
Do you remember that he turned and he looked at those women and he said, don't cry for me.
He said, cry for you and your children. He said, because what he's saying is what's going to happen after I'm crucified 40 years later, there's going to be judgment upon all of you that allowed it to happen.
And those that are responsible for it. And if you know anything about history, friends, that's exactly what happened.
They were doing it to themselves in their own madness and their own ignorance.
Don't cry for me. Jesus said, cry for you and your children. He said, if they'll do this in a green tree, well, you still have the power to do the right thing.
Imagine what they're going to do in a dry tree when it's all taken away from you. And friends, that's exactly where you're at right now.
You allow the truth to be crucified day after day, week after week.
And the only thing that you're doing is procuring judgment upon yourselves and your children.
But let's go back to Jesus, Matthew 21:12. And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast them all out that's sold and bought in the temple and over through the tables of money changers and the seats of them that's sold doves.
Hey folks, can I resolve this? Because I'm going to. You know, that's all you have to do is look at the front of this cup that I constantly show people resistance to tyrannies obedience to God.
I have on Romans 12:21. You can get them on son's, a Liberty media.com. Your orders will go out first thing in the morning.
But you know what that says? Romans 12:21 proceeds Romans 13. What does it say?
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. You don't need to listen to this rant and this heresy in these false teachers talking about how we're supposed to submit to it.
If you just go a couple scriptures before the end of chapter 12, be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Why? Because governments are said representatives.
They are sent by the Lord for the punishment of evil doers and for the praise of them that do well. Not the other way around. Not the other way around.

Speaker 1 – Bradlee Dean / Host:

John, you’ve got about a minute. My friend. I did not plan that. I see you up there. It's all years. Go for it. Yeah brother. You got about a minute.

Speaker 6 – John / Caller:

Mary said not worship me. Worship my son. That's right. And then you were talking earlier about. 1 Timothy 2:5. Yep.
And I and I there's there's a gentleman that I've listened a lot. He's you know, he's one of the most loving, caring, precept understanding.
And with knowledge and wisdom person that I've ever to speak and you should have him on your show. Okay.
His name is his name is Tim Brown. Different giftings, my friend. Different giftings. There's an apostle. There's a prophet. There's a teacher. And you know what? I'm glad you brought that up. I'm glad that you brought that up.
Is it is it unloving to point to finger?

Is it unloving friends? Because this is what you've been taught.

Is it unloving to correct to instruct to reprove?
Is it because the Bible says right before that all scriptures given by the inspiration of God for what? All scriptures given by the inspiration of God for what? For doctrine.
For reprove for correction for instructions in righteousness isn't it interesting that when you bring up what scripture says all scriptures given by the inspiration of God for reprove correction and instructions in righteousness.
Because the law points its finger at the guilty party somehow the world looks at it and says that's hate and it lacks love. No, I want to just say this for clarity.
I do it because I love and make distinction between a teacher and an apostle and a prophet and a teacher 1 Corinthians 12:28 and a pastor and evangelist make distinction because they don't all have the same function.
I want to make clear you understand that. You know, isn't it interesting that oftentimes when you see these individuals that are soft and you know they're loving and they're kind and they're this that and the other thing.
If you look at a lot of those guys isn't it interesting how they don't reach out to people outside of their own sphere?
Isn't it interesting how they give a false impression in part of who the Lord is? I mean we better understand the very establishment and the very presence of God is what righteousness and holiness.
And the Bible says a fire goes before him and burns up his enemies round about and it says that you that love the Lord hate evil and love that which is good.
And then when you think of Psalm 109:5 and you think of John 7 seven, how even Jesus his brothers didn't believe him? Isn't it interesting how they said to Jesus the things that they said to his brothers because the Bible says in John 7 that they didn't believe.
And Jesus said the world cannot hate you, but me it hated was Jesus love was God love absolutely he was God not love when he's rebuking the religious hypocrites was God not love when he was rebuking the pretenders those that claim to be his who were not.
No, absolutely not.
When Jesus was rebuking that was love when Jesus was raising the dead that was love when Jesus was raising up the sick and the impaired ones and giving sight to the blind and hearing to the death and legs to the lame was that not love.
Oh, yeah, see how people are so impartial and they have a false balance.
Hey folks, this is my commandment that you love one another and that the world hates you. Why are they going to hate you? Because you're going to reprove. You're going to correct. You're going to instruct.
You're not going to withhold that. Are you? Nope. But people think that because you do that.
It's a whole different attitude. They almost suggest like it's not love to do that. Nope. You better understand we got to work as a body friends the five fold ministry.
And if we fail to understand that everybody's got a different function, you know, it's going to happen. You're going to oust one or others or one of the others concerning those that are in the five fold ministry is not being a part because they're not like you.
And I want to tell you something. You do yourself a big disservice when you take that on.
You too, yourself a big disservice in the process. You know, it's, you know, it's missing in the ranks in America, friends, real profits.
Yeah. The John the Baptist. Yep. And then when they come out on the scene, you know what they do? They're talked down.
People try to diminish their purpose and value. Same thing with the apostolic.
But you know, it's also interesting is the five fold all five members of the body of Christ, the apostle, the prophet, the teacher, the evangelist, the pastor,
the Ephesians 4:11–12, they're all supposed to be pointing their finger the same direction. And is it me in question? I'm just asking, is it me or is it maybe something that I'm missing here when it comes to the fact that we're all supposed to do the work of evangelist, regardless of our call, regardless of how we're equipped.
And we're all supposed to preach the same message. And that includes teachers. And what is it? Repent for the kingdom of heaven.
Is that hand? Is there a nice way to say that? I'm asking, is there a nice way to say to a guilty world that's guilty as hell literally before God? Repent for the kingdom of heaven is that hand.
Is there a nice way to say that? There isn't. So you're going to have to take it for what it is. Remember the Holy Ghost comes into convictive sin, righteousness, and judgments.
And the bottom line is this friends, I'm glad I got that phone call because that's exactly how people perceive it to be concerning the giftings in this ministry.
And yet again, you don't look at me and judge me according to what you think. You judge me according to my fruit. And that's found at SonsOfLibertyRadio.com, Matthew 516.

Folks, I do want to let you know we have church services here every Sunday at 9 a.m. Central Time. Also, I highlighted these cups, which I had an opportunity to do.
If you'd like to get one of those, these cups are fantastic. Do not put them in the dishwasher. You got to wash them by hand. Okay, I've had one for.
I use it and I've been using it for years here. We'll send them out first thing in the morning. We have red, white and blue. No joke. I didn't plan that neither.
But on it, it is Romans 12:21 and it says, resistance to tyranny is obedience to God. Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.
And again, your orders will be sent out tomorrow morning. Go to SonsOfLibertyMedia.com. I want to give you a quick shout out to my friends.
Do become a son or daughter of Liberty. Folks, we can do a lot more than what we're doing right now.
Love you about what we do. 1 John 3:18.
