Spirit Guides, Synchronicities, Self-Care, and Finding Your Soul Family

The Metaphysical Hour with Julia Cannon and Tracie Mahan and Question Master Tiffanny

Spirit Guides, Synchronicities, Self-Care, and Finding Your Soul Family
Julia Cannon, Tracie Mahan, and question host Tiffany lead a lively edition of The Metaphysical Hour exploring intuitive development, spirit guides, synchronicities, the meaning of physical possessions after a loved one’s passing, caregiver exhaustion, asking for help, present-moment awareness, and the upcoming Santa Fe retreat as a place to connect with like-minded people.

Global Heartlight and the Energy of Connection

Julia Cannon and Tracie Mahan open with playful conversation about Mercury retrograde, lunar and planetary activity, meteor showers, thunderstorms, pets, and the energetic atmosphere surrounding the show. Tiffany joins as the evening’s question host and chat moderator. Tracie invites viewers to share where they are watching from, describing each person as lighting up part of a connected energetic grid. Julia reminds viewers to place TIFFANY in capital letters before submitting questions so Tiffany can identify them in the live chat.

Santa Fe, Retreat Energy, and Finding One’s Tribe

The hosts promote the upcoming Santa Fe retreat, identified in the episode as taking place from September 3 through September 7. They say the retreat will include a live edition of The Metaphysical Hour and describe it as an opportunity to meet like-minded people, connect with soul family, and build relationships that may continue beyond the event. Tracie and Julia emphasize arriving with an open heart and without rigid expectations. References to dates, websites, QHHT, and event details should be checked against official retreat information before publication.

Life as a Mirror for Personal Growth

In response to a viewer asking what has surprised them most during years of metaphysical work, Tracie says one of her central lessons is that people and situations often mirror something within the individual. She explains that helping others can also reveal the helper’s own lessons, wounds, or areas for growth. Julia agrees, saying she gradually shifted from believing events were being done to her toward seeing them as experiences meant to teach her something. Both present this as their metaphysical understanding rather than an independently established psychological principle.

Synchronicities, Physical Possessions, and the Present Moment

Julia discusses synchronicities and intuitive experiences that initially felt surprising but gradually became normal to her. She compares earthly life to a video game and physical houses or possessions to temporary props within that experience. In her interpretation, a deceased loved one is not necessarily attached to objects left behind, so survivors need not feel guilty about releasing them. She then encourages listeners to become the best version of themselves in the present moment rather than becoming consumed by imagined future events.

Learning to Hear Spirit Guides and Trust Intuition

When asked how beginners can listen to spirit guides, Tracie emphasizes allowing, listening, patience, and accepting that guidance may appear through hearing, seeing, sensing, or simply knowing. She describes her early use of tarot cards, poems, and QHHT sessions as tools that helped her recognize subtle impressions. Julia shares similar experiences with oracle cards, numbers, animals, and symbolic images, explaining that these tools can help people develop a personal intuitive language. They encourage practicing with other people because emotional attachment can make self-readings more difficult to interpret.

Healing Rather Than Predicting a Fixed Future

Julia says intuitive work should not be understood simply as fortune-telling because, in her view, the future is not fixed. She argues that receiving information may itself influence the choices a person makes. She places greater emphasis on using intuition to identify emotional blocks, childhood wounds, or recurring patterns that may be affecting present circumstances. In the hosts’ framework, healing those patterns can create greater openness and new possibilities rather than forcing a predetermined outcome.

Compassionate Support for an Overwhelmed Caregiver

One audience member describes caring for a three-year-old nonverbal autistic grandson after the death of his mother while already raising a severely autistic thirteen-year-old son. Julia and Tracie respond with empathy and urge the caregiver to ask for practical help, seek available community or government assistance, and release guilt about needing time away. They stress that showering, resting, playing, and caring for oneself are necessary rather than selfish. They also suggest honest emotional expression, regular support from others, and acknowledging that the situation is genuinely difficult.

Fun, Signs, and Taking the Retreat Experience Home

The final audience question asks what someone should focus on during the Santa Fe trip. Julia’s immediate answer is to have fun, remain open, and avoid expectations. Tracie recommends noticing repeated colors, symbols, signs, and synchronicities, using a Sedona experience involving the color red as an example. They describe retreats as places where sensitive or spiritually oriented people may feel supported, energized, and connected. The episode closes with invitations to explore official retreat, QHHT, intuitive-development, and Akashic Records offerings, followed by thanks to the audience.

Question Host: Tiffany

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to The Metaphysical Hour. I am Julia Cannon, and this is my co-host, Tracie Mahan.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Hello. How are you doing?

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I behaved myself tonight. I did not mess anybody up when we did the count-in, so I am just going to give myself a little credit.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
I was waiting. I was expecting it. Did you hear my hesitancy? I was thinking, "I know she is going to do something."

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
You were coming in like, "She is going to do it."

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Our question goddess is Tiffany.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
Hello.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Hey. Tiffany, did you wear your green today?

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
Nope. White.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
White. That balances us. Maybe that works because she is on our screen kind of between us online.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
That works. We will take balance.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
She does not clash. It is a C word. What is it?

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Delight.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Yes, she is. She will be our balance tonight. That will be good. We probably need a little balance.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
Do not put that much pressure on me. I cannot carry everything.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Yes, you can. Quit being such a pessimist. The glass is half full, not half empty.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I keep having to look and see if Mercury retrograde is over.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
It is over, right? But you know what happened over the last couple of days? I talked about it this morning. We had a lunar eclipse.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Was that the new moon? I know there was a new moon, and there was a meteor shower. Somebody on the show this morning said there were six planets conjunct, all lined up. There is stuff going on.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Let me tell you, I have been waking up. Then we had another thunderstorm last night. This is like the third one.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
We do not normally have those. I remember growing up and it was rare. We would all be like, "Oh, it is a thunderstorm." Now it is like, "Another one."

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Do they not normally happen on the coast? I saw somebody saying that on the East Coast they do not get many, and in different countries they do not get many.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
We used to hardly ever get them here.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
We get lots of them. Texas gets a lot too, and we get big ones. I will tell you, Lottie does not like them.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
The dogs do not like it. I do not think our cats do either, but Lottie definitely was squirmy last night. Thanks for a restless sleep.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
He gets a safe space and goes there.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I think I am the safe space. Gal slept right through it, and so did Luna. They could not care less, but it upsets the little one.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
What do you want everyone to do?

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
I want everyone to tell us where you are from. Come on in. Tell us where you are from and light up that grid. When you tell us where you are from, you are acknowledging you. The grid is already there; you are lighting up your part of it. It spreads out, and now all of those lights are connecting. Before it was like a beam that went up, but now the beams go up and out, farther and farther. I am imagining a spiderweb, with everything connecting and vibrating.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
And you know what I want you guys to do. I want you to put TIFFANY in capital letters in the chat and then ask a question. We love to answer your questions. The challenge is: ask one. If we like it, it will get read online, and we will tune into it, look at it, answer it, or see how it evolves. There may be a simple surface answer, but all questions have layers of answers.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
It is fun to watch Julia go there. We want to see this tonight.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Let me entertain you.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
This is going to be a good show. We have Julia singing and we want your questions. In order for us to know it is a question, write TIFFANY in capital letters. If you have watched the show, you know we call her the butterfly in the sky, question goddess Tiffany, question master Tiffany. Add cute emojis or sparkles; that gets her attention.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
We love sparkles.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Absolutely. Tiffany is a magic wand. She is sparkly.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
You guys want to see Tiffany? Come to Santa Fe. She will be there, and we are going to do a live Metaphysical Hour there. You can see her ask questions live, and you can see us answer them live.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Being with all of you online is wonderful, but when we are all in the room together, it is so cool.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
To be clear, that is the Santa Fe retreat. Go to QHHTOfficial.com, go to the retreats, and you will find it. It starts September 3rd and goes to the 7th.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
It is very soon. It is catching up to me quickly. With all the packing I have done, one of the fun things I did without thinking was pack away my luggage. So now I am sitting here wondering whether I need to borrow luggage because mine is buried.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
You guys have to come to Santa Fe to find out the mystery of Tracie and her luggage.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
And what is she going to pack? Right now she is living as a minimalist with a very small closet.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I have been on many trips with you when you came with just a bag.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
If I have space, I fill it, and then I have to lug it around. So this will probably be simple. You may see me and think, "Did I already see her in that?" The answer will probably be yes. No judging.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
You mix and match outfits. That creates more outfits.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
What is the temperature going to be while we are there?

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
We hope cooler than here. Jenny is the one keeping her finger on that. If you are going to the retreat and you see Jenny, hug her and tell her thank you for all the work she puts into this.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Yes, and thank the other girls helping too. They work very hard to make those retreats happen, and it is worth it. They are really good at it. If you are coming and it is your first retreat with us, come with an open heart and meet your family. That is what it is about. We are going to do amazing things and you are going to have amazing experiences, but the best part is meeting other like-minded people - meeting your family.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
If you are called to go, that is your tribe. How many times have we wished we could find like-minded people, our soul family, our tribe? This is an opportunity to do that.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
It is fun to watch you all interact on the Facebook page. People say, "I need a roommate," and then there are so many responses. You are already connecting strongly on the page, so when you get together in person it will be even better.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
I will be there.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Good. Tiffany will be there.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
We will all be there. Julia is going to be there.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I am going to go.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
That is so cool. There are some fun surprises, and there will be some fun things to attempt.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Should we see where everyone is from?

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
Florida, Seattle, Illinois, San Antonio, Oklahoma, Georgia, Australia, Arizona, Indianapolis, New York, Australia, Slovakia, Pennsylvania, Canada, Michigan, Oregon, Kansas, Florida, Dallas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Chicago, Japan, Arkansas, Florida, West Virginia, Tennessee, Canada, Australia, Boston, Iowa, Romania, Portland, New York City, Scotland, and more.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Wow. Sometimes we get little clusters, but this is really everywhere.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Everywhere. I am impressed. It is late for some of you, so thank you. We are in different time zones and different parts of the world. Can you see all the heartlights shining? It is gorgeous.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Put your questions in the chat. Remember, put TIFFANY in capital letters. Keep it general if it is personal. Ask in a way that everyone can learn from it.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
This first one should be quick and easy. It is from Robert: "How do we find the morning show with Kaya?"

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
It is on now. We have the Facebook show and the Instagram show. Kaya is in an odd time zone right now, so we are not doing the Facebook show while he is there because the timing is awkward. That is usually at 10 a.m. Central. We also have our Instagram show on the Dolores Cannon Instagram channel at 11. We do that most Fridays.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Fridays are full.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Fridays are full. But it is good because people can find us that way and lots of information can be shared.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Thank you for making yourself so available.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
That is what I am here for. And I am going to Santa Fe.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
Here is another question: "What have each of you learned over all this work over the years that has shocked you the most?"

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
I do not know if anything shocks me anymore. You hear so many powerful things. One of the most valuable things I have learned is that it is all about me, and it is all about you, and it is all about Julia. Whatever is in your world and reality is about your universe. People say, "I am here to do this for humanity," and that is true in a way, but humanity is showing you something so you can do it for you. As you do that, it affects humanity, so it comes full circle.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
When I first started doing this work, I wanted to be of service and help people. Then everyone who sat across from me was showing me something for myself. Their answer was my answer. Over the years, that became more clear. The universe brings me people who mirror what I need to heal or look at. Yes, it helps them too, but it is also about me. There is an energetic connection, and that is why they found me.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
When you are out in the world reacting to things, ask why you are reacting. Good, bad, or otherwise, there is no judgment. That is another thing: do not judge anything. Nothing is good, nothing is bad, nothing is right, and nothing is wrong. It just is. It is an experience. We are here to experience and evolve ourselves, which in turn evolves humanity.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Mine is along a similar line. When I discovered these aha moments, they were revelations. Early on, when those things began appearing, it was shocking. I could think other people were messing up my world, but then I realized it was always me. These things were for me. They were lessons I was learning rather than things being done to me. That is a whole new way of thinking.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Then there are synchronicities - something happens at exactly the right time in exactly the right way. At first it is shocking, and now it is more like, of course it is. Those things open up the mind. When I first started getting messages or seeing things, and people would say, "Oh my God, you are dead on," I would think, "Really? I do not know where that is coming from." Those are part of natural growth. At first we are surprised, then it becomes the new normal, then the next thing opens up.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Think about phones. Once people wrote something down and someone carried it on horseback. Then came the telegraph, then phones, and now cell phones. We walk around with computers in our hands. We have more in our phones now than they had for amazing things in the past. Our world is advancing, and we are becoming a superhuman experience. We are not done. We are on a journey.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I was once asked whether a loved one who had crossed over would be attached to a house. The way they showed it to me was like a video game. You play a video game, then leave the game and go about your day. You do not sit there worrying about the background in the video game. In the same way, these houses and objects are props in our movie, in our experience. When we leave them, we do not stay attached to the props. If the people still there value them, wonderful. But the loved one has had their life with it and is done. Now it is yours. What do you want to do?

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
That can help someone let go of guilt if they need to let go of something that belonged to a loved one.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Yes. We are so good at carrying guilt. We think, "I should not let that go. It was important to that person." It served its purpose for them. It does not have to be important to you now. Enjoy your props, but do not become attached to them.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Also remember: you created those props.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Today's message was clear: be the best version of yourself right here, right now, in this moment. Stop worrying about what will happen in 10 days, 20 days, next year, or tomorrow. Be in what is happening right now. If you are at work, be the best version of yourself at work. Find the joy you can, even if the task is tedious or something you dread.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
One thing I heard growing up was, "God is more interested in changing you than your situation." That is why the things around you are happening. They are changing you and moving you toward something better. Whatever comes across your path, face it, keep moving forward, and be the strongest version of yourself. Enjoy your props, be the best version of you, and be in the flow.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
This question is from Isabel: "What is the advice for us newbies listening to our spirit guides?"

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Listen. The biggest thing is to allow. Know that it is so natural. In the beginning, it is very subtle, so you may not really know it is there or that you are hearing them. Be kind and gentle with yourself and allow it. It comes in many ways. You may hear it, see it, sense it, or just know it. Knowing is big. You do not know how you know; you just know it with every cell and fiber of your being.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
The conscious mind wants to explain things away. It may say, "That is silly," or, "That does not make sense." Acknowledge what you get anyway. Eventually those two parts begin to work together: the conscious mind and the guides, higher self, and all of that. At first the conscious mind may be scared of it and shut it down.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
When my mother and I started working together, she would read poems and we would play with tarot cards. We were both learning. That was a great way to start opening up because I could read the book and say what I saw, but then I began realizing I was getting a feeling or sense of something that was not written on the card. When I had a QHHT session with Mom, I started understanding how that worked and recognizing that same sense, that same knowing.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
So be aware and acknowledge what starts coming in. Start seeing the connections. Always say thank you. If you get something, even if you do not understand it, say thank you. When it later makes sense, say thank you again. That acknowledges yourself and your ability to make the connections.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I like playing with it. In the beginning, I started with oracle cards. I got familiar with them, and then I noticed I was seeing those cards in my third eye when someone asked me something. I knew what that card meant, and then I knew what they wanted me to tell the person. I did that with numbers, animals, cards - anything. I might see a sparrow and know what that means, and then I know the message.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
It is easier than we think. We make it so much harder than it needs to be. Get out of your head. Your higher self knows what is going on. All of a sudden you may realize you just did a reading and did not even know you were doing it. Once you realize how much easier it is, you begin to trust what pops in.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
If you are trying to read yourself, you are attached to the answers, and it becomes convoluted. It is easier to read someone else. Grab a friend, or a friend of a friend - the less you know about them, the better. Have them ask you a question and see what pops in. That is the best way to practice. When you read yourself, you can feel like the worst psychic on the planet because you think something will happen and it does not. That is not really how this works.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
It is not about telling the future. The future is not set in stone. Science shows that once you look at something, you affect it. If someone tells you something about your future, you may change it because you have added the element of looking at it. If you do not like what a psychic says, you can shift it. If you like it, you can put positive energy toward it.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Where intuition can really help is healing. If I feel blocked and Tracie tunes in and says, "I am picking up a seven-year-old version of you," and we find a childhood trauma being mirrored now, that can be cleared. When you clear it, the doors open to the future you are looking for. Healing, openness, and flow will open the doors to the future you desire, instead of trying to force a future without doing the work.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
This question is from Michelle: "How do I stop resisting my circumstances that I cannot change? My grandson's mom died, and I have him now. He is three years old, nonverbal autistic. I already have a 13-year-old severely autistic nonverbal son, and it is a lot. I have not taken a deep breath or a shower in quite a while."

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
I can only imagine. Ask for help. That is too much to ask anybody to do on their own. You love them so much, and I know you will be there, but is there a way for you to get help? You need time off so you can recharge. I am feeling exhaustion and guilt. Maybe there is guilt about asking for help, as though you were given this and have to deal with it alone. Maybe the lesson is learning to ask and letting go of having to do it all by yourself.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
You have a life too, and you should be able to have joy in your life. It is okay to share responsibility with others. There may be assistance available through the county, state, or community. You deserve to go out, play, and have fun without feeling guilty that the children are with someone else for a little while.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
I love that you are recognizing that you chose this as a life experience. How do you not resist it? The natural tendency is resistance, but we always say to embrace it. You have to breathe. You have to shower. You have to do things for yourself. You are not any good to these children if you are completely depleted.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
You are worthy and deserving of help. The resistance - and maybe resentment is the word - could be showing you something. These children are here showing you something. Where are you not taking care of yourself? Where are you not asking for what you need? You do not have to play the martyr role. I identify with that. I know I might also try to do it all myself and prove that I can, but these children also need a healthy you.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
They may thrive with consistency, but it can also be consistent that someone else comes at a regular time and gives you support. It can help them adjust and help you breathe.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
I feel you surrounded with love and support from the other side. There is something here for everyone to learn. Autism is such a spectrum; there is so much going on there. You are a very special person, especially having two children like that in your care right now. Please ask for help. The children need you, but they can also benefit from other people being present. They need a healthy you, not just a depleted shell.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
It is okay to say this is hard. It is okay to say it makes you not want to do it, even though you know you need to be there. Being honest with your feelings helps. Write it down on paper as brutally honestly as you can, then burn it. Get it out of you. There is also grief there because your grandson's mother passed away. My heart goes out to you. Reach out to your community, to those who care about you, and to any assistance available. Even if someone comes for an hour or two so you can shower, go to the store, or take a break, please ask.

Speaker 3 - Tiffany:
I think this is a good one to end on. This is from Christy: "What should I focus on personally while on this trip to Santa Fe?"

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Fun. Have fun. No expectations. Just be open and have fun.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
One thing I like to do on trips like this is look for signs. Certain things will happen and I will think, "I wonder what that means." You can look up the meaning of things on your phone. In Sedona, I kept seeing the color red. Even the aura of the mountains looked red to me. Monica was standing there and said she saw it too. Then the sun god Ra came through, and when I looked it up, he had a red circle over him in the pictures. Pay attention to repeated signs because later you may have an aha moment and realize, "Oh, you were with me all along."

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
A lot of magic happens on these trips. Being in the flow will bring that to you. Notice it when it happens. These retreats are so fun because you can walk up and talk to anybody. You find like-minded people. People go to dinner together and then at the next reunion they are still a unit. You will find people and things that make sense to you and feel good. You will find tribe members. Have a good time. Do not be shy.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Some of us are introverted, and some are extroverted, and it can be a lot to be in a big crowd. Do what you can. Stay as long as you can, or separate into an area that is not so busy so you can still enjoy it. It is good energy.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
At a mall, sensitive people pick up all kinds of emotions, and then we leave exhausted. At these retreats, it is different. You are in 5D. Enjoy it and take some of that home with you. People ask, "Why can we not be in this kind of community all the time?" We are working toward that. The idea is that we come together, share this energy, amplify each other, then we go home and share it with our communities and families. It ripples out.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
QHHTOfficial.com. Go check it out for retreats, sessions, practitioners, and everything.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
And TracieMahan.com for classes. I have one coming up that will be intuitive and Akashic Records, and I will be doing that with Leah Ray. Come check that out if it interests you. It is online and easy to do.

Speaker 1 - Julia Cannon:
Thank you, everyone. Thank you, Tracie. Thank you, Tiffany. Thank you, everyone.

Speaker 2 - Tracie Mahan:
Bye, everybody. Love you.
