I read Barbara's book twice.  I couldn't get enough of her story.  Her parents harrowing escape from Nazi Germany at a time where it was nearly impossible to get out.  Barbara, as a 2 year old, travelled from Germany to Lithuania to Russia to china to Korea to Japan to Canada and then to the US.  Her parents started a whole new life in America.  Barbara just wanted to fit in with the other kids and be an American.
