We continue to probe into the mysteries of our humanity and our place in the universe on our weekly radio show. How About that?
With that in mind tonight's featured phrase is "How About That?" How about that?

In other words,  "Is that plausible."  "Will that work?" "You mean that?" "Can you dig it?" "Ain't that Somethin'?"

Basically, our program is a message for you to consider believing that we are enveloped, animated and permeated by a fundamental love-based intelligence that is not only guiding evolution but that we can access and apply to our lives

"How About That"  Are you persuaded? Titillated enough to inquire further?

At least, we can laugh at ourselves- our pretensions, hubris, self-absorption, and immaturity. How about that? To help us along we include humor, music, insights and surprises in our conversation.

So, come on and join us tonight. Give it a chance.  You just might find yourself saying to someone tomorrow, "I listened to "Insight Out--the Naked Truth" and it gave me a whole new lease on life.  How about that?"

And, if you've ever wanted to see Rochelle and I with headphones on (I like to think we look good in headphones), tonight's the night, as we go VIDEO (barring technical difficulties)
So tune in and have a look.
and BTW, we will be dressed, if you're worried.

Conscious Conversations Guest, Harvey Kraft May 01, 2016
Award-winning American author and a Spiritual Archeologist

Harvey Kraft is an award-winning American author and a Spiritual Archeologist. He is pushing the envelope of research into the evolution of higher consciousness by linking the Universe, Existence, and the Mind. He has unearthed ancient evidence showing the inherent capacity of the human mind to expand consciousness beyond perceived limits—an “evolving talent” that may be critical to navigating the future of the species and the planet.

Harvey Kraft is the author of 'The Buddha from Babylon: The Lost History and Cosmic Vision of Siddhartha Gautama' (SelectBooks, NYC), and the upcoming visionary sci-fi novel, The Waker: Portal of Perfect Light.

The Buddha from Babylon is a double Gold Winner of the USA Best Book Awards for two non-Fiction categories: Eastern Religions and History (World), plus it received the 2015 IPPY Silver Medal for Religion (Eastern/Western) from the Independent Publishers Book Awards.

Adept at interpreting meanings in ancient mythic language, Harvey Kraft explores the hidden messages of history and story from a spiritual/intuitive perspective, rather than traditional studies influenced by military conquests or religious agendas. His research method employs a vast array of resources, including archaeological findings, ancient cosmology, cross-cultural linguistics, oral teachings, historical events, and mythic literature.

After a lifelong study of the vast compendium of Buddhist literature, he wrote his breakthrough biography of Siddhartha Gautama, The Buddha from Babylon—challenging elements of the sage’s historical legend and connecting him to the proto-sciences and natural philosophy of his time. Most importantly, he has identified the Buddha’s original teachings designed to explore the meaning and scope of Enlightenment, as an expression of cosmic consciousness.

Painting the image of an unparalleled seer and observer, philosopher, cosmologist, and the founder of psychology, Harvey Kraft examines the grand scale of the Buddha’s integrated, advanced system of Existence…revealing insights about time, space, scale, dimensions and the origins of Life that are millennia-ahead.

Harvey Kraft states, “Based on modern revelations of the Big Bang, Genetic Code, Quantum Mechanics, and Brain Waves, scientific awareness has shifted to a deeper engagement with the nature of Existence, ironically an area of exploration once central to ancient seers.”

REVIEW:

"(The Buddha from Babylon) is the most comprehensively written and researched piece intertwining cosmic, religious and political history. As essentially a theory of everything, this seminal work offers…a new understanding of Buddha’s role, our origin, our interconnectedness and thus the transformational strategies we need to truly shape our shared future."

A Fireside Chat Guest, Bill McDonald April 30, 2016
Warrior, poet, author, artist, consultant to film and TV documentaries, interfaith minister/chaplain, motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, meditation teacher and non-paid Veteran advocate and lobbyist.

Warrior, poet, author, artist, consultant to film and TV documentaries, interfaith minister/chaplain, motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, meditation teacher and non-paid Veteran advocate and lobbyist. He’s counseled several thousand veterans over the past three decades and been recognized by the US Congress and the State of California for his tireless assistance to veterans and their families dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The story telling and poetry writing of ancient spiritual warriors has a long tradition in bygone eras. The Vietnam War was no different, providing a long creative experience for this author. The poetry and stories in his many books are a direct result of Bill McDonald’s own experiences during that part of his life. Bill McDonald served in Vietnam in 1966-67. He was a crew chief/door-gunner on Huey helicopters (UH-1D) with the 128th Assault Helicopter Company. Bill was awarded numerous medals, including The Distinguished Flying Cross, The Bronze Star, and multiple Air Medals. Because he was wounded during several helicopter shoot-downs, he was awarded the Purple Heart.

He has an AA degree from San Jose City College, and a BA degree from the University of San Francisco. He went back to Vietnam in 2002, with a small group known as “The Peace Patrol” to a warm welcome from his former enemies. He wrote about that experience in 2003 in his first book A Spiritual Warrior’s Journey.

His other book 'WARRIOR: A Spiritual Odyssey' is told by a true warrior. In the book " . . .Rev. Bill  recounts his spiritual journey in selected stories through a life which began with a seemingly unending dysfunctional childhood, included an astonishing tour of duty in Vietnam, and then opened into one of the widest benevolent lives ever. His entire existence has been lived out under a spiritual umbrella that keeps him safe no matter how powerful the storm. Not afraid to go out into the rain, Rev. Bill’s humility, integrity, loyalty, faith and courage is expressed through his every move. His investment in recounting events provides all readers to experience places they’ve only dreamed about. The situations allow reflective readers to parallel the events to their own lives. And in the end, each reader will stand with him at Machu Picchu, Peru and begin his or her own odyssey. In effect this book is a road map to Rev. Bill’s personal, spiritual and emotional destination. Metaphorically the ‘map’ is on the seat of his pickup. When you begin the book he’s essentially handing you the keys and offering you the opportunity to experience his route, after which you’ll be able to tweak your own map." Available on Amazon.

Many of his poems and stories are published in national publications including Parade Magazine (10/06/02), and Self-Realization Fellowship magazine’s summer 1998 edition. Bill is featured in the book God in the Foxhole by Charles W. Sasser (2012), Divine Moments: Ordinary People Having Spiritually Transformative Experiences, by Nancy  Clark (2012), Stories of Faith and Courage from the Vietnam War (Battlefields & Blessings) by Larkin Spivey (2011), Silent Battlefields, by The Military Writers Society of America (2012 member anthology), and others.

He was also part of a documentary film crew that recorded interviews across the country in the fall of 2002, dealing with the effects of the Vietnam War and the Huey helicopter experience called, In The Shadow of The Blade. The film premiered at the LBJ Presidential Library on November 8, 2003 in Austin, Texas. He has since produced, or been a part of four other documentary films that have been shown on PBS TV, The Pentagon Television Network and The Military Channel. He is currently working on a DVD about his healing and spiritual trip back to Vietnam in 2002.

His autobiography entitled A Spiritual Warrior’s Journey, discusses his life experiences, not only in Vietnam, but both before and afterwards . It is his spiritual experiences and the supernatural events that surrounds his life that makes his writing totally unique amongst writers. He is currently working on a follow-up to A Spiritual Warrior’s Journey which deals with a near-death experience that occurred in 2004 in the mountains of India when he fell off a 30 foot sloping cliff. He landed on a large rock looking up at the blue sky. He had no heartbeat or respiration. He drifted away from his own physical body and was looking down at himself on the rock. Then a large cobra snake crawled across his feet, but that is an another story he can tell you if you ask.

Bill is an internationally known inspirational and motivational speaker. He has been an advocate for veteran’s rights and the treatment of PTSD veterans. He is also a chaplain and minister for many non-profit groups and organizations. He speaks to various spiritual organizations across the country about yoga, ESP, angels, NDEs, healing powers, and psychic abilities.

His web site, has had over 30 million visitors since 1998 and continues to be among the most visited of its genre on the internet.

His acclaimed poetry book Purple Hearts deals with poetry from the Vietnam War and is available to organizations to sell for fund raising. His award winning poetry book “Sacred Eye – Poetry in Search of the Divine” won a $25,000 marketing and promotional award from Booksurge Publisher (March 2004).

Bill works with several non-profit foundations doing projects for the people of Vietnam and for the vision of world peace. He also helps veterans and their families through his support network and other PTSD organizations.

Spent over 30 years in management with the USPS and retired in early 2001 as a Safety Manager. He now lives with his wife of 45 years in Elk Grove, California. He has two adult children and six grandchildren. He used to spend part of each year away in India at an ashram in the jungles outside of Pune. But recent health issues have keep his travels within the USA – were he takes off for several months on the road helping non-profit organizations and promoting events and other authors. Conscious Thought with Leo Guest, Dr Jayne Marquis April 27, 2016
Naturopathic Doctor, Homeopath

Healing and Homeopathy with Naturopathic Doctor, Homeopath JAYNE MARQUIS

“Informational Medicine.  Medicine that takes
information and changes disturbed information.
That is going to be the future of medicine.”
– Lynne McTaggart

Bachelor of Arts – Kinesiology, University of Waterloo
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine – The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine – Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine

Doctor Marquis has always held the belief that we are more than meets the eye. She has studied several levels of Reiki, a form of energetic healing, and strongly believes that it is the energetic component that makes us human, alive and beyond just a physical body. She believes that disease often begins with an imbalance in emotion & energy that eventually affects us physically ….in ways that we are unable to see, but that are truly profound.

Like a tree, what we see is the trunk, the branches, the leaves, but what is equally important is what is not seen – the roots, the source of nourishment, security, and balance.

As a result of her intellectual curiosity for what is not seen Jayne chose to become a Homeopathic Doctor as well as a Naturopathic Doctor. She fell in love with Homeopathy while she was studying to become a Naturopathic Doctor. It was in her second year of Naturopathic Medicine she took a trip to India to introduce herself to Homeopathy and study under a master of Homeopathic medicine. The principles of Homeopathy resonated profoundly, as she had always held the belief that all physical ailments have a mental emotional component. Mastering Homeopathy requires you to listen to what is going on emotionally and energetically as well as physically. She was excited because it is an important medicine that works with the energetic part of us.

Homeopathy looks at the person in detail, and seeks to identify the complete picture, that which is seen, and that which is unseen.  The idea is to take the findings to match it to a remedy,…. using the principle of “like cures like”.

This was something Jayne was determined to master.  And so after becoming a Naturopathic Doctor she studied Homeopathy for two more years at the Ontario Collage of Homeopathic Medicine.  At the same time she worked with and learned from as many Homeopathic masters as she could…. including Jan Scholten, Louis Klein (3 year master clinician coarse), Rajan Sankaran, Franz Vermeulen, and more. She saw and experienced first hand the results of this simple but profound medicine in cases, in clinic, and most importantly with her own family.  Her respect, admiration and learning for this important medicine continues to grow.

Jayne truly enjoys being able to do something that she loves everyday – helping others in the pursuit of health and well-being. She feels there is a role for all medicine, Allopathic, Naturopathic medicine and homeopathy.

Her love for movement, and creativity helped her to achieve her goal of becoming a Canadian Ballroom Dance champion. Her love of fitness and of flying made her first a pilot and now a passionate participant in the sport of trampolining. Her experiences have brought her a special awareness of not only the needs of athletes, but also the need to treat us all like athletes. There is an important role for naturopathic medicine and homeopathy in this – to make the physical whole, balanced, fit, and complete. And on a deeper level to view that part of us that stops us from reaching absolute fulfillment/happiness, …by restoring that energetic part of us to balance, the body is given the tools to heal, thus allowing us to achieve complete health on all levels.

Jayne is a mother of two young children, giving her practical hands on experience with the highly safe and effective use of Homeopathy in everyday childhood ailments.  Seeing change immediately in many acute cases has made her a firm believer in the curative power of homeopathy. She has also used homeopathy successfully on dogs, cats and horses!

Jayne applies her experience, knowledge, passion, and dedication to her current practice and the treatment of every patient she sees.

Doctor Marquis, ND HD is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and The Ontario Association of Homeopathic Doctors.
