Graduating high school as an Eagle Scout and National Merit Scholar, I was educated at Stanford (Biological Sciences, with graduate courses in immunology, biochemistry, and pharmacology), Case Western Reserve (Medical), and the Florida Institute of Technology Medical Research Institute (Preventive Medicine). I received graduate training in general and urological surgery (San Francisco and University of Texas/Houston). I chose to start a general practice of medicine in Humble, next to the Bush Intercontinental Airport, in 1978. Since then, my post-graduate training has been extensive and expansive, and I’m recognized internationally as an expert in several advanced anti-aging/longevity treatment strategies. Just for fun, I served as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration and as the chief medical consultant to Texas International Airlines, which bought and merged into Continental Airlines.
A Bantam Books bestselling author, I’ve written several popular books and articles on The Yeast Syndrome, toxic heavy metals and chronic illness, heart disease, and arthritis treatments. I have been recognized as a specialist in hormones and longevity medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, in heavy metal toxicology by the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology, and in arthritis and pain medicine by the American Board of Biological Reconstructive Medicine. I am gratefully listed in over 4 dozen volumes of Who’s Who.
I have lectured extensively in the United States and internationally and hosted radio programs on using drug and non-drug treatments for chronic and acute illnesses. I have served as president or director of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Student Association, the American College for Advancement in Medicine (recognized in 1991 as one of their earliest Fellows), the International College of Integrative Medicine, the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology, the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, the American Preventive Medical Association, the NCR Research Institute, and the National Health Federation, among others.
In 2005, Life Celebrating Health was named one of the leading Centers for Advanced Medicine, sponsored by the Advanced Medical Education & Services Physician Association (AMESPA). For my long service in the advancement of safe and effective health technologies, in 2008 I was knighted in the Sovereign Medical Order of the Knights of Hope.
My passion is finding solutions for chronic conditions that take people out of their lives, that cause disability and discomfort, that make life less worth living. Over the past 30+ years, I have developed and refined elegant hormonal, nutritional, metabolic, and other treatment programs that have resurrected their vitality, comfort, activity, and appearance for thousands of patients.
