Dr. Wax is a native of South Jersey. He earned his bachelor of Science in Food Science Research from Cook College of Rutgers University/The State University of New Jersey. During this time, he served as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician on Rutgers University First Aid Squad.
He attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Upon his graduation, he completed an internship at University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ/School of Osteopathic Medicine - Kennedy Memorial Hospital University Medical Center, and Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Dr. Wax completed his Family Medicine residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Wax practices preventive medicine to give you a health advantage. In addition to diagnosis and treatment, he emphasizes disease prevention through health screenings and patient education. He has a caring, friendly demeanor and brings a holistic and osteopathic approach to the practice of medicine.
Dr. Wax is a “Doctor of All Media,” says The Gloucester County Times. He hosts, “Your Health Matters”, on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM on Thursdays at 5:30pm. It is a health interview show featuring health experts, physicians and authors from across the country. Dr. Wax conducts many lectures and interactive programs with community and fellow physicians on various health topics. He has published articles in medical journals such as Physician’s Practice, Medical Economics, AOA Practice Pointers, AOA Health For The Whole Family and JAOA-The Journal of The American Osteopathic Association. He has contributed to articles in the Courier Post, Gloucester County Times, and South Jersey Magazine. Dr. Wax presented a lecture at the FIMM Musculoskeletal Medicine Conference in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
