Do you think about your business first thing in the morning before you even get up?  Is your goal for the day what makes you get out of bed?  Then you're probably an entrepreneur.

Do you fall asleep listening to a ceiling fan and hearing a song in the sound it makes?  Do you hear music in every situation?  Then you are an artist.

Do you find yourself often looking back to the "good old days"?  Where do you spend most or your time - in your past, in your present, or in your future?

Well, today let's take a trip down memory lane and look into the past, to when you were the happiest.  Spend some time reviewing those memories, and answer the following questions.  Take some time, and really journal...don't just breeze through them.  I think if you take your time on this, it will be rather enlightening.

Anticipation is amazing. It's energizing. It's stimulating. It's enabling. Just ask a 4 year old on Christmas Eve!

I think we all do it from time to time, whether we want to fess up to it or not.  We all talk to ourselves.  Maybe not.  I have no scientific evidence to back it up, but I think we all do it.  I'll admit, I do.  In fact, I have some pretty great conversations with myself!  Me, Myself, and I have very philosophical discussions.  We plan my week together.  We cry on my shoulder together.  We vent to me.  I'm pretty easy to talk to. (The other "person" I talk to a lot is my dog, Strawberry - she's easy to talk to, too.)

I believe that we prepare ourselves to expand our hearts once more in love each time we love. My heart dog, Laila, passed away last spring. I don't live with a dog right now and I have no immediate plans to bring a dog into my life, but it's important for me to spend time with other dogs. So many close their hearts after losing someone they deeply love. They don't want to feel the pain of loss. They doubt their ability to love again. They have many other reasons that reflect their truth in that moment.

Today, 25 January, is National Opposite Day. It's supposed to be a fun day. It's supposed to be a day that allows us to live in opposition to the way we routinely live. Start the day with dinner and work back to breakfast. Say the opposite of what you mean; during an election year, we'd all save a lot of time if we limited the inconsistencies to just one day. Wear your summer clothes under your parka. Stuff like that.

Today, 23 January 2016, is John Hancock's 279th birthday. Remember him? Smuggler, merchant, Massachusetts governor, president of the Continental Congress? Guy whose ginormous signature on the United States Declaration of Independence is his major claim to fame today?

John Hancock's writing panache has inspired a day that is dedicated to remembering something he did. 23 January is National Handwriting Day.
