Signs of Life's Medium & Messages with Host: #FFFCertifiedMedium Joe Perreta and Guest: FFFCertifiedMedium Travis Holp
Messages Across the Veil: Healing, Humor, and Evidential Connections
Summary
A Medium's Unexpected Calling
Host Joe Perreta welcomes certified medium Travis Holp for his first appearance on the program and explores the unconventional path that led him to professional mediumship. Holp explains that intuitive and spiritual experiences had been present throughout his life, although he did not initially recognize them as communication from spirit. After a 17-year career in the beauty industry, sobriety during the pandemic, and a major professional transition, he began offering readings online and gradually embraced mediumship as his life's work. He describes the practice as a way to help people find peace, closure, and a renewed connection with a higher power.
Learning Through Practice and Self-Knowledge
Holp discusses studying through virtual classes, mentors, and the traditions of Spiritualism while emphasizing that consistent practice is the most important part of development. He explains that learning to distinguish personal anxiety from energetic impressions helped him understand how his body processes intuitive information. Perreta and Holp agree that therapy, self-awareness, and understanding one's own emotional patterns are essential for anyone doing psychic or mediumistic work. They also acknowledge that the work can be emotionally intense and requires deliberate mental-health practices.
The Emotional Weight Behind the Work
Holp recounts an experience at a Pride event in Tacoma where two separate encounters reminded him of the emotional responsibility attached to his public work. One person asked him to record encouragement for a terminally ill friend, while another thanked him for a previous reading involving departed family members. Although he deeply values these connections, the emotional impact left him needing a private moment to cry. The conversation underscores that mediumship can be both deeply rewarding and personally demanding.
Live Connections with Callers
The program then moves into a series of live mini-readings with callers from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, and Texas. Holp offers impressions involving departed parents, children, friends, family health concerns, meaningful dates, jewelry, flowers, hearts, hummingbirds, and other personal symbols. Some details are immediately recognized, while others require reflection or are only partially understood during the call. The full range of responses is preserved, including moments when a caller cannot initially identify a name, date, or relationship.
Messages of Reassurance and Continuing Bonds
Across the calls, the central themes are reassurance, gratitude, and continuing emotional bonds with departed loved ones. Dawn receives messages connected to her mother and a lively friend; Angela hears reassurance about caring for her father's siblings; Kim is told that her daughter's soul is at peace; and Kathy receives anniversary acknowledgments from her parents. Mary's reading centers on her close relationship with her father, including his special chair and distinctive signature, while Griselda receives a message intended in part for her mother about her father's complicated passing and an upcoming birthday remembrance.
Healing, Humor, and Hope
The episode balances grief-centered conversations with humor, warmth, and candid discussion about the fallibility of interpretation. Holp and Perreta repeatedly explain that a medium may misunderstand a name or symbol even when the underlying impression has meaning, and they allow callers space to recognize details later. The program closes with information about Holp's events, book, and website, as well as the Forever Family Foundation's educational programming. Perreta ends by encouraging listeners to seek healing and remember their enduring connection with loved ones who have died.

Without further ado, hi, Travis.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hi, Joe. Thanks for having me.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Of course. Thank you for coming.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so excited to be here.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I'm so happy to have you. This is your first show, right?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It's my first time.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Amazing. I'm sure you've done radio before.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Radio? Yes, I love a good radio reading. You truly never know what's going to happen.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You really don't. It is a wild card. Sorry that you're joining me in my bed tonight, but, as I was telling you before the show came on, they're jackhammering outside my apartment near my living room.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You should make that a thing. It should be a set: "In Bed with Joe," or something.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Yes, "In Bed with Joe." Do some readings, pull some cards, maybe.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Readings in my jammies.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: There you go.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Which I am in, actually, because I thought, "I might as well commit to the bit."
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Travis, since this is your first time on the show, how did you get into mediumship? How did you figure out that you were a medium?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I kind of equate it to being gay. I haven't known anything different my whole life. It wasn't until I met with one of my first mentors that she helped me understand that many of the things I was feeling and seeing were spirit.
I didn't intend to come out and be a medium. I didn't see this coming. I was in the beauty industry for about 17 years. I started as a makeup artist and ended up in sales.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I started at the MAC Cosmetics store in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2006. I fell in love with makeup because it was a place where I could fully express myself and be who I was.
When the pandemic happened, I got sober from alcohol. I ended up leaving my long career in the beauty industry, and I had no idea what I wanted to do. I had been doing readings for friends and family members, mostly with cards, but occasionally loved ones would come through.
I got on TikTok one day and thought, "I'll just start doing readings." I did, and six years later, here we are. It has been this incredible, super-fun journey.
When I first started reading, I was very adamant. I said, "I don't want to talk to dead people. That freaks me out." The joke was on me. I fell in love with mediumship.
I love that there is something in this world that helps people find peace and closure, but also touches souls and helps people reconnect to their higher power, whether that is God, Source, spirit, the universe, guides, angels, or whatever that may be. I love that this is a modality that helps people reconnect.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Right. It's not always just about the people on the other side.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Yes. I think they help us get there. I think the belief in consciousness helps us reach an even bigger understanding of the universe.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I think so. A lot of their messages are usually meant to help us in that way as well, which is a good thing.
When you started doing readings, did you take lessons first, or are you self-taught, like I am? How did you approach it?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: At first, messages would start coming through for people I didn't know while I was doing card readings. Then I would get impressions. I would feel someone's loved one and start describing them. The connection never lasted very long. It would be a very short blip of time.
Being the Virgo that I am, I needed a class, a book, and a mentor.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Love a Virgo for that reason.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I needed some kind of basis. I jumped into classes at the Arthur Findlay College in the United Kingdom, virtually, because we were all at home.
I love old-school Spiritualism, because, honey, you had better be digging up the Social Security number and the first four digits of their phone number. I love Spiritualism. I think it is such a beautiful practice.
I took classes with them and also worked with a couple of mentors here in the United States. A lot of it, though, has come through simply doing it. Mentors are great because they help you find your voice with mediumship, but ultimately it is the work with spirit, and continuing that work, that develops you. That's the best way. You have to do it.
I'm all for a class, and I'm all for a book. Those things help you understand yourself a little more. For example, I had intense anxiety growing up. It took me a while to learn that sometimes the feeling of anxiety was not actually anxiety. It was how my body registered the energy of spirit.
I still have anxiety. I still experience those things. We're alive and paying attention, babes. For me, it was about learning what was happening when I received an impression from spirit.
Some of the things I had written off as anxiety, depression, overthinking, or ADHD were actually part of something that would help me help people. I found a lot of acceptance in those things. Mediumship has helped me heal many things in my own life that needed healing and are still healing. The work is never done.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Right. Never.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Not until it's over.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I love that you talked about getting to know yourself. Whenever I teach, which is not often because I actually hate teaching and don't think I'm a good teacher, I always tell people that the biggest lesson in psychic development is going to therapy and learning who you are and how your brain works. If you don't do that, you're not going to be able to be a great medium.
I'm not saying we don't have our issues. We all have something going on in one way or another, but you have to know who you are.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's so true. Doing this work can be very activating for certain emotions. I praise the Lord for my therapist. I feel grateful that I have a therapist and can share what I do, including the parts of myself I don't like.
This work can be heavy. I was at Pride with some friends over the weekend here in Tacoma, Washington, where I live. Someone came up to me and said, "Oh my gosh, my friend loves your videos. She loves your Instagram so much."
I said, "Where is your friend? I would love to meet her."
She said, "She's actually dying of terminal cancer, and she's at home receiving treatment."
The only words I could get out were, "Do you want me to record a video for her?" I recorded a video offering encouragement.
I walked away, and then another person came up and said, "You did a reading for me at an event here in Tacoma. You connected with my mom and my brother, and it meant so much."
I love hearing those things, but I had to walk off to the side and cry behind a tree because it was so much. Sometimes people don't realize that this work is a lot. I love it and would not trade it for anything, but you have to have some type of practice in place that helps you take care of your mental health. It is a lot, and it is beautiful at the same time. I still wouldn't give it up. It is worth it, but it is a lot.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: For anyone coming to the Psychic and Mediumship Development Conference in October, Travis and Laura will be there. I think Connie and one more person are also going; I forget who the other person is. I know Connie [surname unclear] is going to be there. You'll hear more about this.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so excited for that.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: It's going to be fun. It's like a psychic sleepover weekend.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Right? With your practice group. It will be cute. I'm happy.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Is that going to be your first in-person Forever Family event, or have you done another one?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: No, this is going to be my first in-person event. This is a year of firsts.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Very nice. Everyone with the foundation is amazing. I'm not just saying this because we're on the air. You're going to have the best time.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Everyone has been so great. In September, it will be a year since I've been certified.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Your anniversary is coming up. I love it.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: My anniversary. I know.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Amazing. Before we get to the phones, Travis, do you have any events coming up? Where can people check your schedule?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I've been taking a nice little summer pause from my events so I could live a little bit. I have a teaching event at the Omega Institute in [location unclear], New York, at the end of this month. I'll be teaching a whole weekend of mediumship.
At the end of August, my live shows start up again. It is the Life After Life Tour, and we're adding more dates. You can find tour dates and event information at TravisHolp.com. All my information is listed there. I'm so excited. It is going to be a great summer and a great fall.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Where can everyone buy your book?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You can buy it anywhere you purchase books, or at Amazon, this little boutique online distributor called Amazon. They're very small. I think they're really going to catch their stride this year.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I can see that.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: We'll pray for them.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I will absolutely pray for them. We'll send them love and hope they succeed.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Absolutely.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Head to your website, and, of course, follow Travis on Instagram. What is your Instagram handle?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: TravisHolp.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Your unicorn. I love it. It's right behind you, your neon sign. Go follow Travis on everything. He's so much fun.
For those of you who are just tuning in, our guest tonight is certified medium Travis Holp. Be sure to visit his website at TravisHolp.com. That's spelled H-O-L-P.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Like "help," but with an O.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Do you know what your name means, Travis?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: My first name, Travis, means somebody who stands at a crossing, and my last name, Holp, means "to have helped."
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Oh my God. You were meant for this.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Isn't that funny?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: That's crazy.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I do think that's kind of crazy.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I mean, that's not a coincidence, but you're asking the wrong person.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Definitely not.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Let's get to our phone lines. Before we take our first call, if we call you on the air, I'll call you by your first name. You can let us know whether you would like a connection with spirit, and Travis will do a five-minute mini-reading for you. If you have a question for us instead, we're always happy to take questions as well. Ready?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so ready. This is going to be so much fun.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: First up, we have Dawn from Kentucky. Hi, Dawn.
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Hi. How are you?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I'm doing well, thanks.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm doing great.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Good. What's your name?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: My first name is Dawn, which is the beginning. My last name is End.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: The beginning and the end. I love that. Look at the Alpha and Omega calling in. Dawn, would you like a mini-reading with Travis, or do you have a question for us?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: I'd like a mini-reading, please.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You got it, my friend.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hey, Dawn. Where do you connect with rings?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: I love my rings.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You have a mom who has departed?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Yes, I do.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I have your mom coming through. What's funny is that I'm talking about rings first. I don't typically start that way. I don't know whether you have one of your mom's rings, whether you both loved rings, or whether your mom is simply talking about rings.
Did you have a ring where one of the stones popped out, or did you lose a ring?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Some stones popped out.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Wow. Sometimes they'll give me those details. Do you also understand there being a cancer-related passing or a connection to cancer?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Do you understand either not being able to have final words with your mom before her passing, or her not being able to communicate?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: I couldn't be there. I was here in Kentucky, and she was in New York.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Got it. When they close up my throat like that, it means either that we weren't able to be together before the passing or that we were unable to communicate.
I want you to know that your mom says you talk to her a lot. She's saying, "Travis, please tell her that I hear her."
There is also a birthday or anniversary of a passing in the month of May that I have to mention. Where do you understand that?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: A good friend passed away in May.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: They do that as a way of connecting who they are with and who else is on the other side for you. This friend is fun. She comes in hot and on two wheels. Do you understand that?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Oh, yes. I do.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I don't think I even asked, but this is a female friend?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Good. She's laboring my breath and going into my chest. Do you understand a passing connected to the chest, either the heart or the lungs? I am sweating while connecting to her energy. I feel as though I'm having a hot flash.
Speaker 4 - Dawn: She had a heart problem.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: As long as we understand something connected to the chest or heart. I love her personality. She is so much fun, and she brings the party.
She wants to tell you to take care of yourself. Listen, I'm not a doctor; I just play one on TV. I don't know whether things have come up around your health or personal well-being, but she is saying, "You had better take care of yourself." I feel that whatever it is will be fine. It doesn't feel major, but she wants you to take care of yourself. Do you understand that?
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Great. I want you to know there is so much love around you. I'm sending you all of my love.
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Thank you so much. I needed that.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You're welcome, angel. You have such beautiful energy.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you for calling, Dawn.
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Thank you. You take care.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You take care as well. Have a good night. Bye-bye.
Speaker 4 - Dawn: Bye-bye.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Ready for the next one?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so ready.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Angela from Pennsylvania. Hi, Angela.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Hi.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: How are you?
Speaker 5 - Angela: I'm good. How are you doing?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Good, thanks. Angela, would you like a connection with spirit, or do you have a question for us?
Speaker 5 - Angela: I would like a connection with spirit, please.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You got it.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hey, Angela. Do you understand there being a father or father energy in spirit?
Speaker 5 - Angela: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I just got kicked in the stomach, so I don't know whether there was a stomach issue or something connected to the stomach. Do you understand this?
Speaker 5 - Angela: I'm not sure what that means.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It can also be somebody talking about stomach issues. Was your dad in the military at one point?
Speaker 5 - Angela: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: He salutes me to validate the military connection. Do you understand there being a younger male, or another male in the family, who shares his name, either a first or middle name passed down?
Speaker 5 - Angela: Not that I know of.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Where is there a Mike or Michael?
Speaker 5 - Angela: I don't know that name. That's not in my family. I can't think of anyone.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Names for me can be first, middle, or last, and connected to the living or the departed. Sometimes it is simply an initial, because, honey, I'm terrible with names.
Speaker 5 - Angela: If it's only an initial, I would take that. I can't think of anyone with an M right now.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Where do we understand there being two boys, either two sons, two boys, or someone being one of two?
Speaker 5 - Angela: You know what it could be? His brother is having some issues right now, and I'm taking care of him. That is why I was hoping my father would come through.
His brother and sister are both childless, so I have taken over their care. His sister is having stomach issues right now, and his brother is going through dementia. That is why I wanted to hear from my father - to know whether I'm doing right by them and making him proud.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Maybe that is the connection. There are stomach issues.
Speaker 5 - Angela: That would be my aunt.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Now I don't trust you when you say there is no M initial in the family, honey. I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 - Angela: There is no M, though.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm just teasing you. I promise.
I'm going to give this another try. With your dad, do you understand issues with the heart or lungs?
Speaker 5 - Angela: Yes. He died of a massive heart attack.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: He's going into my chest, and my skin is getting so hot. I keep getting hot talking to these people, Joe. I don't know what's going on.
Do you understand your dad being one of two boys, or there being a brother for your dad?
Speaker 5 - Angela: Yes. That's the brother I'm taking care of. He also had a heart attack.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's the two boys. Perfect. Where do you connect with the month of August? This would be a birthday, an anniversary of a passing, or another significance connected to August.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Let me think. I'm sorry. Nothing is coming to me for August at the moment.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It could be August or the eighth of a month.
Speaker 5 - Angela: My aunt, whom I'm taking care of, has a birthday on the eighth. It isn't August; it's October.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. When they give me an eight, it can mean the month or the day. Listen, I'm playing a game of charades over here, and I'm sweating.
When I ask them for that information, it is to validate, first, that they are watching over you and, second, the question you asked: Are you doing the right things? Yes, you are doing more than enough. I want you to be a little easier on yourself.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Okay.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I hope you feel better, because I'm serious. You're doing great. There is an M initial somewhere connected to the family. You don't have to find it now. Think about it later and let us know.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Wait, I know what it is. There were three people in his family: his sister and brother, whom I'm taking care of now, and his other sister, who passed away. Her name was Marcy. That's the M.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: We'll blame the medium on that one. Honey, I'm terrible with names in the physical world. You did great. As long as that M fits somewhere, that's all I care about. You found it.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Angela, thank you so much for calling. We really appreciate it.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Bye, honey. Have a good night.
Speaker 5 - Angela: Bye-bye.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: She was so sweet.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: She was. I knew she would figure it out. We always get to the bottom of it.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I love that part.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I know what I'm hearing. It used to terrify me. I would think, "Nope, I'm finding it," because it is always there.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I always tell people that spirit is never wrong, but we can be wrong. I could say the wrong name or interpret something the wrong way, but if they showed it to me, there is a reason.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I might just be too slow to understand what the reason is in that moment. We will figure it out.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You are most smartest.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Thank you. What is that from, Drop Dead Gorgeous?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Drop Dead Gorgeous. It's back on streaming. I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I watched it recently, actually.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Next up, we have Kim from Illinois. Hi, Kim.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Hi. How are you guys tonight?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Doing well, thanks. How are you?
Speaker 6 - Kim: I'm fine. Thank you for having me.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you for calling. Kim, I hear you want a reading.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes, please.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: You got it.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hi, Kim. How are you?
Speaker 6 - Kim: I'm good, Travis. It's nice to meet you.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It's nice to meet you, too. Kim, I have a sudden departure coming through. I have a male energy, and I feel a sudden departure connected to him. This is going to sound bizarre. It feels as though I'm here and then suddenly pulled out of my skin and gone. I don't know whether this involved a collapse or something unexpected. Where do you connect with a sudden departure involving a male?
Speaker 6 - Kim: There is a sudden departure, but it would be my daughter, a female.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Do you also have a dad who has departed?
Speaker 6 - Kim: No, not yet.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Is there someone with neurological issues, such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or a stroke? Where is the neurological issue?
Speaker 6 - Kim: I'm a caregiver. I take care of someone who is still alive and has Alzheimer's disease.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. Alzheimer's can come through even when the person has not departed. That is not uncommon. I have a sudden departure and a male energy here, and they seem to be coming through together.
With your daughter's passing, she is making me taste blood. Tasting blood is my sign and symbol for a tragic passing or a tragedy surrounding the passing, rather than a death from disease. Do you understand a tragic passing around your daughter?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I also keep feeling as though there is something in my system that should not be there, or my throat keeps closing. I don't know whether this was an overdose or whether something was in the body that should not have been there.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes, it probably was.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: She is giving me sunflowers. Do you connect with sunflowers?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes. A very close friend of mine, who has also passed, used sunflowers as her symbol.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I have to ask: Is there another sudden departure connected to a male? I still have a sudden male departure here.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Nothing is coming to mind. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. Where do you understand Sarah, or an S initial, such as Sam or Sarah?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Gosh, I'm sorry. It isn't coming to me right now. I'm sure the minute we get off the phone it will, but I'm not getting it.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: There is also a birthday, anniversary of a passing, or another connection to September.
Speaker 6 - Kim: I'm sorry. September isn't really our month for birthdays. November is more significant.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I keep getting September. It can signify several things, including an accomplishment. That's okay, honey.
Where do you connect with finding little hearts?
Speaker 6 - Kim: I made hearts from her clothing and gave them away at her service.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Were you just going through pictures, or are there pictures of her all over the house? Is there something like a shrine for her?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes. I'm looking at it on my desk right now.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Perfect. One of the things she wants you to know is that she did not suffer before she left this earth. That is something you've carried. Please know that she did not suffer and that her soul is at peace. Even when a passing is tragic, the soul does not suffer during that process.
I keep hearing "accident." Did somebody have an accident after her passing, perhaps a small car accident or fender bender?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Again, nothing is clicking in my head right now.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That doesn't mean there isn't something there. I don't want to force it. I keep seeing what feels like a minor accident, such as someone backing into somebody. I know that sounds random.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Is that something she's communicating to you, or are you just feeling it?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It feels like something that happened after her passing. If anything comes up or you remember something, feel free to reach out and let me know.
Speaker 6 - Kim: That sounds good. I'm also coming to the conference in Burbank, California, in October, so I look forward to meeting you.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: So fun. Do you connect with a necklace? Did you have necklaces made in memory of her, or is there another connection with necklaces?
Speaker 6 - Kim: Yes, the necklace definitely strikes a chord.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm validating for you that her soul is at peace and that she is with you.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Thank you. That means the world. I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You're so welcome. Sending you love.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you for calling. Have a good night.
Speaker 6 - Kim: Thank you. Bye.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: That was beautiful, Travis. I loved that.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Thank you.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I won't lie to you. I'm a little suspicious that someone is trying to come through for me - actually, a couple of people.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It could happen.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Tell your people to back up. No, for real, I think I know who it is, too, and I'm thinking, "Why are you here?" A few of the things people have not understood are all part of a common thread and story. We'll see what happens.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Sounds good.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Next up, we have Kathy from Pennsylvania. Hi, Kathy. Are you there?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Yes. Hello.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Hi. How are you?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Good. How are you?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Doing well, thanks. Kathy, you called for a mini-reading?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Yes, please.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: I'll turn you over to Travis.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hi, Kathy.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Hi, Travis. How are you?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so good. How are you, honey?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Well, thank you.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I have both a mother and father energy coming through. Do you understand both a mother and a father who have departed?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I feel that I want to talk about an anniversary. We are either around the time of an anniversary this month or one is coming up. They keep giving me white flowers, which are my sign and symbol for an anniversary. It could be a wedding anniversary or an anniversary of a passing, but there is an anniversary they want to mention.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Today is my parents' anniversary.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Happy anniversary. That's wonderful. They want to validate that for you. Did you help take care of them or provide care?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: They keep saying, "Thank you." When they show me slippers, it means we helped provide care or take care of someone.
There is also Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or another neurological issue that I have to mention.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: That was my mother.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I love your mother. She's a little spitfire.
They keep taking me inside the home. I feel as though something inside the home is being redone, perhaps repainting or remodeling. What are we remodeling or redoing inside the home?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: I'm not remodeling or redoing anything.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It could be now or after their passing. They keep giving me my sign and symbol for remodeling, so there is either something being repainted or redone inside the home.
Where do you connect with three children? Were you one of three, or did they have three children?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: They had four. I was one of four.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Were there three boys or three girls?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: There are three living.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Three living. Perfect. That's their way of identifying the three who are still here.
Do you also understand a cancer-related passing?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Not with them, but yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Do you understand the cancer-related passing being within your peer group - a friend, partner, sibling, or someone around your age?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: They're pulling me in a couple of different directions. Do you understand Rich, Richard, or an R initial?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: We have a couple of people in the family with R names.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Where is Rich or Richard?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: No Richard.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It could be Rebecca or another first, middle, or last name beginning with R.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: I do have a great-niece who passed. I didn't really know her. Her name was Rachel.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Rachel, perfect. I'll take it. These are the ways they let me know who they are with or who is connected on the other side, even when we didn't know the person well. They wanted me to bring up the R initial.
There is also a significance with April or the fourth of a month. Do you understand that?
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Maybe a couple of birthdays in April.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Perfect. They see the birthdays. It is their way of validating those dates and showing that they still check in.
They are giving me my sign and symbol for new keys. Was a new car purchased recently, or is someone talking about getting a new car? They're putting a new car key in front of me.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: I am getting a new car.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Perfect. I'm asking them to validate the connection. Their love is with you, and they are at peace.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you so much for calling, Kathy.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You're welcome, honey. Take care.
Speaker 7 - Kathy: Bye.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Next up, we have Mary from Georgia. Hi, Mary.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Hi.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: How are you doing?
Speaker 8 - Mary: Good. My dog -
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Mary, you're breaking up a little bit. We can't hear you very well.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Can you hear me better now?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: That's better.
Speaker 8 - Mary: I'm sorry. My dog, of course, barked at you. What can I do?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: That's spirit showing up.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Probably. It reminds me of my father, so who knows?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: We'll talk to Travis and find out who is going to show up. I'll turn you over to him.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hey, Mary. How are you?
Speaker 8 - Mary: I'm doing well. How are you doing?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm doing well, honey. Where do you connect with John, James, or a J initial?
Speaker 8 - Mary: Julie, Janie, and Jane are the ones in our family. I can't think of anyone else.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. Don't list them all. I have another cancer-related passing. Where do you connect with that?
Speaker 8 - Mary: That would be my mom.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I feel that I want to connect more strongly with your mom. Do you understand Ann, Anna, or an A name?
Speaker 8 - Mary: Yes. There are three of them, and my middle name is Ann. We have several names like Mary and Ann in the family.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I can't see you, and I don't know what you look like, so that's fine.
I know hummingbirds are a common sign and symbol, but that doesn't make them any less special. Do you connect with hummingbirds?
Speaker 8 - Mary: Yes. I refilled the hummingbird feeder about two hours ago. I had not looked at it for a couple of days, so I finally refilled it today. They fly at me when I sit on the deck. I have the feeder hanging near my deck, and sometimes they fly right at me. It can be a little scary.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You definitely identify with hummingbirds. I love that.
I also feel your dad's energy coming through. He's not a man of many words. He seems relaxed and laid-back, not saying a whole lot.
Did you save his chair? He keeps sitting himself in a chair. I don't know whether you have a special chair or whether there is a chair you connect with.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Oh my goodness. That chair - he would sit in it all the time. [Unclear audio describing the chair's location in the home.] I think of him when I see it, even though he is not sitting there. There is a very strong connection with that chair.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: In all the readings I've ever done, I've never talked to somebody about their father's chair. This is a first, to be honest.
Speaker 8 - Mary: I actually bought him that chair. He loved it. I gave it to my daughter, so she has it and keeps it away from everything else because it is a special memory.
When my brother told me that I needed to get over Dad's belongings, I said, "You didn't see him sitting in that chair day after day." That chair has a lot of meaning to me.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I love that it is so significant for you. You and your dad have a soul bond. I know you were father and daughter, but your relationship also felt like a friendship. He wants to acknowledge the connection the two of you share.
Speaker 8 - Mary: We talked to each other about anything. It didn't matter. He was my dad, and I was his daughter. We just said what we said.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's exactly how he makes me feel about the bond he shares with you.
Were you unable to be with him at the time of his passing, or was he unable to communicate at that time?
Speaker 8 - Mary: He wasn't able to communicate. He had dementia for over a year, and I missed his death by half an hour. He was in a home. I had cared for him in my house before that.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I want you to know that sometimes they wait for us to leave the room or fall asleep before they pass. Even though we want to be there with them, sometimes the soul knows that witnessing the final moment would not be the best thing for us.
He wants to acknowledge that you weren't able to be together at the moment of his passing, but I know you left nothing unsaid with this man. He is saying, "Travis, we left nothing unsaid." There is so much love between the two of you.
Do you connect with his signature? He keeps giving me his signature.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Oh my goodness, his signature. He was so proud of it, and it was so fancy. I used to say to him, "Why do you have to write like you're signing the Declaration of Independence?" He would say he was proud of his name.
He went from being homeless for 14 years to pulling himself up by his bootstraps, having a family of six, and becoming a very successful man. His signature means a lot. He was my rock, and now he's gone.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Please know that his love is with you and that there is not a moment when he is not by your side.
Speaker 8 - Mary: I feel him a lot. My granddaughter actually saw him in the basement when she was eight years old. She never knew what he looked like because she was born after he passed.
She told me, "There is a man down here," and described him. Then I showed her a picture, and she said, "Yes, that's him."
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's beautiful.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you so much for calling, Mary. We really appreciate it.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Thank you so much. I appreciate everything he told me, especially how well he described my dad. It means a lot.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Lots of love to you. Have a good night.
Speaker 8 - Mary: Thank you. Bye-bye.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Travis, are you up for a lightning-speed round? We have about two or three minutes left.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: A speed round? Let's see what we've got.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Our last caller is Griselda from Texas. Hi, Griselda.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Hi. How are you?
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you for joining us for the lightning round. We have about three minutes. You got in right under the wire. I'm going to turn you over to Travis.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Thank you.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Hey, Griselda. How are you?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I'm well. How are you?
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'm so good. Do you connect with a mother energy who has departed? I want to go to a mother for this.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: No.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Where do we connect with a mother energy who has departed? Now it's fast, and there's pressure. Let me backtrack.
Where do you connect with tattoos? Were you talking about tattoos for a loved one, or was somebody else talking about getting a tattoo for a loved one?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I can't think of anyone who has a tattoo. I was thinking about getting one myself, but I haven't.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: I'll take that you were thinking about it. They read your mind.
Do we connect this to a gentleman who has departed?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: There is a mother energy. Do we understand a mother energy connected to this gentleman who has departed? It could be a grandmother.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Yes. My mom has not departed, though.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Was this gentleman a partner for you, or perhaps a partner, friend, or peer?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Not the person I'm thinking of.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: They're showing me rings, which is why I'm asking.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I can't think of it. I'm sorry. I'm writing this down in case it comes up later.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. Is this connected to your dad?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's so interesting. We've got your dad's mother departed. The only other way I would take it is that he's dropping the relationship down a generation.
Your mom is still here in the physical world. Have there been conversations about your mom's health?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Can you repeat that? I want to make sure I understand you.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Have there been conversations about your mom's health?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Not lately. Mental health, I would say.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Health is health. If there are conversations around mental health, I will take that.
There is also a connection to June. This could be a birthday, an anniversary of a passing, or another significance connected to June.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I can't think of a birthday in June.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: It could be connected to you, your dad, or your mom. They keep giving me six or showing me six for the month of June.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I'll have to think about that one. I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Where do you connect with two children?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I have two children.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Do either of them connect with June?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: No.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: That's okay. It can't hurt to ask. I'm sorry, but I keep bringing up June. I try to move past it, but I keep getting the beginning to middle of June, around the eighth.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I don't remember anything that happened around that time. I'll write it down and see whether it comes up.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: He also puts roses around you. Where do you connect with roses?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: My mom's name is Rosa.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Perfect. See whether your mom connects with June. I feel that some of these messages are for her.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Yes, probably.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: He makes me feel as though I need to deliver the message to his partner, which is why I initially asked whether this was a partner. Then I heard "dad."
She still worries about him. There is a feeling that she wonders whether she should have done more or whether the family did enough for him. Do you understand that?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Yes.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: You did plenty for him. There is nothing more that could have been done.
This was a disease-related passing. Heart attacks are also disease-related passings. His passing feels complicated. It feels as though several things were happening in his body at the same time, almost as though his organs were shutting down. I can't land on just one thing.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: His intestines stopped working, and then his organs started failing.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Was it progressing into something like sepsis? There's the stomach again. Was there a surgery before this, or was somebody undergoing medical testing?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: I don't remember the testing, but he did have two surgeries.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: He had surgeries before the passing. When they give me my sign and symbol for testing or surgery, it validates some of what happened leading up to the passing.
Please tell your mom that he is so grateful for the way she remembers him. Does she still celebrate his birthday, or is someone talking about celebrating it?
Speaker 9 - Griselda: We've been thinking about how we're going to handle it because his first birthday since passing is coming up.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Celebrate the birthday. It will bring her a lot of joy.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: It was all left up in the air for us, so now we have an answer.
Speaker 2 - Joe Perreta: Thank you for calling. We really appreciate it.
Speaker 9 - Griselda: Thank you. Bye.
Speaker 3 - Travis Holp: Take care. Bye-bye.
