His vision for music education was shaped by years of observing the limitations of traditional teaching methods while working as the online education director at noted electronic music production schools Dubspot and Icon Collective, and in his work as a professional musician. This dual perspective led him to pioneer Futureproof’s innovative blend of personalized human instruction and AI-enhanced tutoring, creating a more accessible and effective learning environment for aspiring musicians.

Von Seggern’s credentials as a musician and producer lend exceptional credibility to Futureproof’s curriculum. His collaborative work with electronic music pioneer Jon Hassell from 2014 to 2020 demonstrates his deep understanding of innovative sound design and contemporary music production. As a studio musician, producer, and sound designer, he has developed an intimate knowledge of the ever-evolving music industry landscape, ensuring that Futureproof’s educational approach remains current and practical.

Rick Cowling is the co-owner, sound engineer and music supervisor for TOtLEntertainment.com. Rick is also the music and AV director for Unity of the Oaks, in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Aside from being an extremely accomplished musician, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, writer and producer, Rick has been the guitarist for Kenny Loggins, as well as, touring for five years as the lead singer and keyboard player for Ambrosia. You may even recognize him as the singing pharmacist on Modern Family.

As a songwriter and music producer for Capitol records, Sony Playstation, numerous commercials and TV shows such as The Bachelorette, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Teachers on ABC, Rick has created an extensive library of original music and sound design. Rick has also produced music and DVD projects with many major artists including Bonnie Raitt, Gladys Knight, Laura Brannigan, Melissa Manchester, and Bobby Womack.  

Rick works along side his wife, Rev. Sherry Hursey, as the music director for Unity of the Oaks. Rick and Sherry’s heart project “Lilly’s Light The Movie”, is currently streaming on multiple platforms worldwide.

Sherry Hursey, is an ordained Unity minister, serving as the spiritual leader for Unity of the Oaks in Thousand Oaks, CA. She is also an award-winning actress, vocalist, writer and producer whose face and voice are very familiar to television, radio and film audiences worldwide.

Most recognized as, Ilene, on the hit series Home Improvement, or Kirsten Dunst’s mother in the Universal blockbuster Bring It On, Sherry has an extensive list of credits from stage to screen.

Spreading her wings and following the call of her spirit, Sherry wrote, produced and starred in the uplifting musical special, Lilly’s Light, which aired on PBS and was the winner of the KIDSFIRST BEST AWARD!

To support its mission, she founded Lilly’s Fostering Hearts, lillysfosteringhearts.org, a non-profit advocating for displaced and foster youth.
