NEW Music Heard Between Talk Shows! We'll Be Your Favorite!

Headlined Show, Insight Out...the Naked Truth September 20, 2016

bbsradio.com/insightout

Tuesdays 7 PM, Sundays 8 AM pdt

Rochelle often asks me, "You sure?" My answer is almost always, "No."  Takes a lot of pressure out of life, but admittedly makes Rochelle a little nervous.

"You sure this is how to get to.....?"  "No."  "Oh."

So tonight's program is "You Sure?"

How often do you feel sure about something only to find out that you were wrong, or perhaps circumstances have changed since you were so sure?
That's why we thought "being sure" would be a good focus for our time together tonight..

 "You sure?" You might ask.

 "Well.....no."

Nevertheless, taking a look at what it is to be sure, how far out our surety can extend, how long it lasts, and based on what, seems like a worthy topic......in our quest to expand and deepen consciousness.

While my hope is that you will be sure to listen in to our program tonight, I understand that what with all the vagaries of life, that might not be possible. You can always go to our archives to listen or even download any of our edited programs.

Yes, while certainty is illusive and belief, educated guesses are often our best substitutes, it would be great to find that place where we can be sure of the good, the beautiful and the true.

"You sure?
"Close"

Hope to be with you tonight.

Back to School 2016 - Part 2

Please join Internet radio host Dr. James Avington Miller Jr. for part 2 of our special Back To School 2016 War Report.

Dr. Miller will be taking a close look at what our college students are facing in 2016. They have been told that college and career is their ultimate goal, but they find themselves facing a life time of debt. Is college the modern-day indentured servitude?

Dr. Miller will also be introducing a series on digital learning and how it is being used to destroy public education, our teachers, and authentic teaching and learning. Digital learning aka Computer Based Education is the end game for the educrats. It will lead to the privatization of all students now and in the future.

Please tune in and call in and learn and be an agent of disruption in the Machievellian agenda.

Knowledge is power!

As a bandleader and reed player he has been amazing his listeners with his powerful personal style that combines great bebop artistry and Middle-Eastern roots in a sophisticated, sometimes ironical manner. Influenced by Coltrane’s powerful approach on the sax, Gilad's live performances are simply breathtaking and overwhelming.

Gilad's work is highly  praised by the musical press. Here are just a few quotes:

"Atzmon's fluid lyricism is in full flow on songbook classics and worldly originals. But as sweet romance morphs to modernist uncertainty, the bittersweet balance and rich emotional palette equally impress." Financial Times ***** March 2009

“A formidable improvisational array...a jazz giant steadily drawing himself up to his full height...” The Guardian.

“The best musician living in the world today” Robert Wyatt

"Gilad Atzmon, the expat Israeli saxophonist/clarinetist, combines thrilling jazz musicianship with a maverick political intelligence"  The Guardian ****

"Like the best of albums" Jazzwise **** March 2009

"Atzmon always manages to tell a story" Uncut **** March 2009

"One of the finest alto players around, Gilad pays his respects to Bird ...It's striking how similar Gilad's sweet, open-throated sound is to Parker's, but as you'd expect from the fiery philosopher-turned-Blockhead, this is no tribute album." BBC Music Magazine March 2009

In 2007 Gilad extended his role as a Producer,  working with outstanding singer-songwriter Sarah Gillespie to produce her debut album released in September 2009.

In 2008-9, Gilad also produced the Brazilian percussion star Adriano Adewale, the multi ethnic Irish band Yurodny and is currently producing the UK legendary bass player Norman Watt-Roy’s debut album. Galactic Connection Guest, Matthew Hurtado May 05, 2015
Health and fitness adept, CEO of Network Holdings LLC

Matthew David Hurtado is the CEO of Network Holdings LLC.  He has been involved in fitness and health supplements since the age of 15 years old, when he first fell in love with bodybuilding.

Matthew has overcome an eating-disorder, Lyme's disease with chronic fatigue syndrome, and PTSD, as well as having endured the financial strains of illness. After becoming successful in several different ventures and running the operations of companies doing millions-of-dollars in sales, Matthew noticed things he didn't like about the supplement industry.  One common denominator and theme kept showing up -- most health-supplement companies source inferior ingredients containing toxins and sell their product for thousands of times the actual cost of producing the product to the end consumer.  To make matters worse, many of the most successful supplements are sold via the endorsement of some doctor or health guru directly tied into the profits of the company.

In 2013, Matthew decided  that it was time to invest his own money and time into researching and developing a brand of products that he would feel safe having his own kids use.  This meant that ultra-pure ingredients and world-class manufacturing would have to be the backbone of the company, and cutting-edge science and innovative thinking would be employed to make these products affordable.  After hiring an elite staff of advisors, Matthew's dream became realized with the birth of Complete Ascentials in April of 2014.

Matthew enjoys playing guitar, spending time with his family, and his work is his passion.
