Our topics this week include the President's first speech to Congress, the economy and the new bill for D.C. Statehood called the 'Washington, DC Admission Act' introduced by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson to make Washington, DC the 51st state. The bill is co-sponsored by all 116 Democrats. In the past, Congresswoman Norton has introduced DC statehood bills with each new Congress, previously known as the New Columbia Admission Act. The bill introduced in the 115th Congress will reflect the statehood efforts of the New Columbia Statehood Commission and the historic support of 85.6 percent of voters on the November ballot question. This is the first time that the bill will be called the “Washington, DC Admission Act” to reflect the new name selected by the DC Council. ABBY MARTIN - Journalist, artist and activist speaks to John Barbour. JP Sottile joins John for the 2nd half of the show with his commentary.
There’s a lot of “saying” going on, but when it gets right down to it, “Who’s to say?” This is why we have chosen the phrase, “Who’s to Say?” as our featured phrase of the week
Of course, there’s the media saying all sorts of things. There is our president saying a bunch of stuff. And there are numerous voices in our own heads that are going out of their way to say things about who we are, what’s real, what to do, how to avoid pain and get to pleasure.
But again, “Who’s to say?”
Perhaps another way to pose the question is to ask, “Who is the voice of authority?” Or “What is the voice of authority recommending today?”
Often it is the strident voice of pain which can be very urgent and won’t be stifled.
On the other hand, “Who’s to say” that the most authoritative voice isn’t that still small voice within that continues to speak to and remind us of our higher nature – or, more specifically our authoritative nature?
During tomorrow morning's conversation, we'll look at the question of “Who’s to Say?”and see if we can find out. To begin with, Rochelle and I will be saying numerous things as we are wont to do with the intention of getting to what’s real and finding out what’s being said that is worthy of saying things in response, whether it comes from the news, the pundits, our parents, lovers, our children, or from some benign presence often referred to as, God?
After all, “Who’s to say?”
Sunday's program will be filled with humor, surprises, characters, and of course, insights. Please join us at 8 AM PT and let’s see if we can together find out “Who’s……… to say?”
Talk with you in just 8 hours.

Soul Contract Removal and Why Its Important
Without getting all technical, and new agey about it... in this context, the soul is you. You are the soul or being that has (theoretically) made agreements with others.
1. An agreement between two or more parties for the doing or not doing of something specified.
2. A binding agreement between two or more persons or parties; especially : one legally enforceable
Simply stated we are talking about agreements that you have made before coming into this human existence, before coming into this incarnation as a human. So you could say, as a Soul, but not born into a physical human form, you have theoretically or actually made some binding agreements. These agreements are between you and the counter parties.
1. to invalidate or cause to no longer be ineffective, as by voiding or canceling: Her license was revoked.
2. to take back or withdraw; cancel; rescind: to revoke a law.

Transformational Speaker for United Earth
Yan Golding is a passionate cultural creative, yoga teacher, permaculture teacher, community builder, dancer and explorer of consciousness. Before the age of 18 he lived in five different countries and has continued traveling extensively so he never knows how to respond when people ask “Where are you from?”.
After graduating from a Quaker high school in the US he went to study aerospace engineering in The Netherlands. After 6 months he felt thoroughly saturated with the education system and became a ski-instructor. At 24 he embarked on a life-changing, 2 ½-year overland journey from Amsterdam to Australia, where he came in contact with meditation, yoga, wwoofing and rainbow gatherings. Since then he has participated sparingly in financial and cultural norms, retaining a natural curiosity (and sometimes bewilderment) for many of our social habits.
In 2002 Yan returned to South Africa with his partner, who he met in Auroville, India, to help create a community on 700 Ha of beautiful land. There he remained continuously for nine years, becoming the leading co-founder of Khula Dhamma Ecovillage. During that time he trained as a permaculture & ecovillage designer, massage therapist, vision quest facilitator, natural builder, yoga facilitator and taught himself a wide variety of skills related to sustainable and community living- including basic midwifery as he delivered his two beautiful daughters into this world.
In 2010, while attending an ecovillage design course, Yan was struck with a vision of an intentional unification and conscious collaboration among all people and groups who are dreaming and working for a brighter future. Since then he has devoted most of his creativity and energy towards raising awareness among the many branches of social change about our collective potential to work together to catalyse a fundamental cultural and systemic shift.
Currently Yan is serving as a lead focaliser for United Earth – an emerging global platform for unity and collaboration.
He now lives in South Portugal where he intends to co-create another ecovillage. Locally, he is part of the steering group for Transition Town Lagos and is exploring new paradigms and practices around gardening in conscious co-creation with Nature Intelligences.
Health and fitness adept, CEO of Network Holdings LLC
Matthew David Hurtado is the CEO of Network Holdings LLC. He has been involved in fitness and health supplements since the age of 15 years old, when he first fell in love with bodybuilding.
Matthew has overcome an eating-disorder, Lyme's disease with chronic fatigue syndrome, and PTSD, as well as having endured the financial strains of illness. After becoming successful in several different ventures and running the operations of companies doing millions-of-dollars in sales, Matthew noticed things he didn't like about the supplement industry. One common denominator and theme kept showing up -- most health-supplement companies source inferior ingredients containing toxins and sell their product for thousands of times the actual cost of producing the product to the end consumer. To make matters worse, many of the most successful supplements are sold via the endorsement of some doctor or health guru directly tied into the profits of the company.
In 2013, Matthew decided that it was time to invest his own money and time into researching and developing a brand of products that he would feel safe having his own kids use. This meant that ultra-pure ingredients and world-class manufacturing would have to be the backbone of the company, and cutting-edge science and innovative thinking would be employed to make these products affordable. After hiring an elite staff of advisors, Matthew's dream became realized with the birth of Complete Ascentials in April of 2014.
Matthew enjoys playing guitar, spending time with his family, and his work is his passion.
