Life Changes Show
Come and join the conversation about what's going on and what we can do together about it, with it, and for it. We have the choice; we have the power. We can do magic if we just believe!
A show about the changes going on in us, to us, around us, and because of us. Therefore, it's technically a show about "Everything," only with a how to make it better, see it better, be better.
In the show, there is talk about, and with, people who have either been through major changes, are helping others with major changes, or people who are changing the world for the better in a major way.
The show is a one-hour talk show format with a monologue by the host, a 30-minute interview with a guest of note, capped by a "Producer's Wrap" segment, in which Filippo and Co-Host Mark Laisure, and sometimes surprise guests, bring it all home for the listeners in a sometimes humorous and sometimes touching, but always entertaining conversation.
Guest, John von Seggern
John von Seggern stands at the intersection of music education innovation and hands-on industry experience, making him uniquely qualified to lead Futureproof Music School’s revolutionary approach to music education. As a veteran educator and accomplished musician with over three decades of experience, von Seggern brings a rare combination of pedagogical expertise and real-world musical prowess to his role as founder and CEO.
His vision for music education was shaped by years of observing the limitations of traditional teaching methods while working as the online education director at noted electronic music production schools Dubspot and Icon Collective, and in his work as a professional musician. This dual perspective led him to pioneer Futureproof’s innovative blend of personalized human instruction and AI-enhanced tutoring, creating a more accessible and effective learning environment for aspiring musicians.
Von Seggern’s credentials as a musician and producer lend exceptional credibility to Futureproof’s curriculum. His collaborative work with electronic music pioneer Jon Hassell from 2014 to 2020 demonstrates his deep understanding of innovative sound design and contemporary music production. As a studio musician, producer, and sound designer, he has developed an intimate knowledge of the ever-evolving music industry landscape, ensuring that Futureproof’s educational approach remains current and practical.
Under von Seggern’s leadership, Futureproof Music School has developed a project-based curriculum that breaks away from conventional music education constraints. His approach emphasizes personalized learning paths that adapt to individual student needs while incorporating cutting-edge technology and industry-relevant skills. This methodology reflects his belief that effective music education should be both accessible and aligned with current industry practices.
What sets von Seggern apart is his commitment to bridging the gap between traditional music education and modern industry demands. He recognized early on that the future of music education requires a more flexible, technology-enhanced approach that can scale without sacrificing quality or personalization. This insight led to the development of Kadence, Futureproof’s AI tutor, which complements human instruction and provides students with round-the-clock support affordably.
Von Seggern’s vision extends beyond just teaching music production; he aims to nurture complete artists who can navigate the modern music industry confidently. His experience as both an educator and working musician has shaped Futureproof’s holistic approach, which combines technical training with creative development and industry insight. Under his guidance, Futureproof Music School continues to evolve, staying true to its mission of revolutionizing music education through innovative teaching methods and technology.
