Cheryl moved to Canada from the UK in 2018. She is a clinical counsellor and trauma-informed art therapist, with experience in agency and school settings. She has also worked as a senior residential social worker in a therapeutic unit for severely abused children, using a play therapy approach.
Within the KATI program, Cheryl discovered the ‘missing piece’ she had been looking for in working with complex developmental trauma. She is now passionate about the benefits of integrating art therapy into her practice. She is particularly drawn to working with trauma-related issues, mental health diagnoses and marginalized populations, including survivors of human trafficking.
Cheryl has a private counselling / art therapy practice where she welcomes individuals of any age seeking in-person or online therapy.
