Eugene A Conrad PhD MPH
Your Pitch

I received the PhD in Pharmacology in 1956 from Vanderbilt University (USA) including most of my course work and research at the medical school. Later, I taught at the Wake Forest University medical school and managed clinical research at three pharmaceutical companies retiring in 1993 as senior director of clinical research of Purdue Pharma. Also, I received the Master of Public health degree in 1989 from New York Medical College. For several years I wrote a medical meeting column (Conrad Notes) for the internet and published two handbooks on home healthcare, assisted living, and nursing homes. As a community volunteer, I served on the board of our local nursing home and senior center in addition to being a member of the Stamford, CT health commission and interim city health director. I am a caregiver for my wife who has dementia and lead two men's alzheimer's disease (AD) caregiver support groups under the banner of the CT chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. In 2013, I was interviewed by a local TV station (Channel 88), internet news station (ConnecticuttIt'sRelevant.com), and gave an one-hour teleseminar on caregiving sponsored by the Alzheimer's Disease and Prevention Foundation. I would be honored to discuss caregiving of AD spouses by men and caregiving in general. Thank you. Eugene Conrad
