Dr. Delaney held an academic faculty position for ten years at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine between 2003-2013. He also has worked in the pet food industry. He headed R&D for Natura Pet Products (brands include: Innova, EVO, California Natural, and Karma, the first 95% organic dog food) until it was acquired by Procter & Gamble. Pet Food Advisors - Balance IT LogoThe number one concern on many pet owners' minds is what to feed their dog and cat for health and longevity. Many approaches to nutrition exist from commercially prepared food to home prepared food. Regardless of the approach taken, folks are concerned about optimizing their pet’s diet. People with pets who have medical conditions that limit what they can eat are often desperate to find a solution. Dr. Sean Delaney is here to help people achieve their nutritional goals in a thoughtful and healthy way, with his deep knowledge of the science behind pet nutrition (he literally “wrote the book” on the subject!) With his expertise formulating both commercial and homemade pet foods (he even created the Balance IT® formulation software for veterinary professionals), Dr. Delaney enjoys sharing the knowledge he has gained from his clinical, academic, and industry experiences with listeners on PET FOOD ADVISORS.
