Huge show for our 78th voyage of On the Double as Shawn and Sean welcome a triple threat of Big Time Guests in former Seahawk Marcus Trufant, radio show host Chet Buchanan, and former NFL Safety Nick Ferguson!
Chet Buchanan is the host and creator of 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo! Since it’s inception in 1999 it has consistently been one of the highest rated and most beloved radio shows in Las Vegas. In addition to anchoring the morning show, which he was named “Best of Las Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal for, Chet can be seen just about everywhere in Las Vegas.
Many Las Vegans know Chet from his work on the court at UNLV Runnin’ Rebel Basketball games, appearing as a frequent contributor on Fox 5’s “More at Four,” or holding down a packed schedule hosting multiple corporate, civic, and charity events.
Chet is also the brains behind the annual Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive, where he lives and broadcasts live on top of 30 foot scaffolding for 12 days straight to raise toys for thousands of Las Vegas children. Since it’s inception, the 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo Toy Drive has grown to become recognized as “The World’s Largest Single Location Toy Drive” and in 2010 filled (14) 50 foot semi trailers, as well as collecting over 2,000 bicycles, and raising over $145,000 in gift cards.
