I enjoyed a nearly thirty year airline career working as both a flight attendant and an international purser.   I was trained as an emergency medical technician and served as a volunteer firefighter.

My expertise and training as a flight attendant allowed me to research the events of September 11, 2001, with an insider’s knowledge that eventually lead me to discover details and answers to some of the most haunting questions surrounding that infamous day in our history.

I enjoyed a very exciting life both in the air and on the ground and because of that, was encouraged by co-workers to write a book. As I began to do that, I discovered that ten of the accused 9/11 hijackers were still alive.   Several of them were also airline employees employed with Saudi Arabia Airlines and that they had had their identifications stolen years prior to 9/11. At least four of the accused hijackers threatened to sue the U.S. Government and the FBI if they did not stop using their names and identities.   That discovery, along with the refusal by the U.S. government to discontinue their false accusations; ignited my curiosity. 

After thousands hours of research, using official government documents, print and video media from 9/11, and several books; I discovered that there were also at least two women involved in the 9/11 event.  Using my personal knowledge of in-flight procedures, FAA hijacking protocols, the state of Massachusetts and cell phone technology, I discovered yet to be exposed details concerning the planes, the passengers and the perpetrators which are woven into Methodical Illusion.

This book is the result of my extensive research.  It is based on real life events.  It is written as a novel to protect me and my family from the repercussions that inevitably occur when you get too close to the truth.  I am now considered by many to be a foremost expert on the events of September 11, 2001.

I returned home on a flight from Rome where I was the purser for a major airline not many hours before the news of 9/11 hit. I had been a flight attendant for 28 years at the time and awoke to see a plane fly into the south tower of the World Trade Center. I may have been groggy, jet lagged and generally out of sorts, but I knew from training and experience that airplanes do not fly through buildings. Over the next 72 hours I remained glued to the television watching and listening in disbelief at what I saw and heard.

When the time was right I began to look at the occurrences of that fateful day from my perspective as a career flight attendant. I studied, dug, researched and questioned every aspect and angle of the events as they had been reported and what I found was so horrific I literally became ill. As the pieces began to fit together I decided to incorporate them into a novel allowing for plausible deniability to protect me and yet at the same time allowing me to expose the horrendous truth that must now be shared.

The glamorous life of an international flight attendant can be anything but, as Vera Hanson discovered the morning one of her crew members was found murdered in a Paris hotel room. That morning began to put into focus some of the experiences of Vera’s thirty year airline career, which she had purposely been avoiding. It caused her to look more deeply into the questions surrounding 9/11 that never made sense to a flight attendant, but that no one had seriously investigated.

With the help of her pilot friend Jim Bowman, they embark on a cross country journey employing their wisdom, experience and intense research to uncover the mysteries of what really happened to the four airplanes and the people on them that fateful day.
 
Written as a novel, Methodical Illusion has been excruciatingly researched from an insider’s perspective, utilizing proprietary knowledge of airplanes, universal FAA protocols, standardized flight crew procedures and all hijacking policies.

Growing up on South Whidbey Island, Washington, Mark K. Sargent started his career playing computer games professionally in Boulder Colorado. From there he spent the next 20 years training people in proprietary software. In 2014, he looked into what is no doubt the most ridiculous conspiracy ever, called "Flat Earth Theory", and through extensive research, discovered that it wasn't so laughable after all.

Early in 2015, he released a series of YouTube videos titled "Flat Earth Clues", which delves into the possibility of our human civilization actually being inside a "Truman show"-like enclosed system, and how it's been hidden from the public since 1956.

Born in Seattle, grew up on South Whidbey Island, founded the Brimstone fireworks company in college, shut down by the ATF my junior year in 1990.

Spent 3 years as a sous chef at a Greek restaurant, won the first computer pinball world tournament in 1994, hired by a PC game publisher in Boulder Colorado the same year, played computer games for a living until 1997. Stayed in the Boulder technology sector ever since.

Never married, never had kids. Most of my extensive free time is spent trying to unravel the hidden truths of our civilization, and the never ending search for the meaning of life itself. If I had to pick a single motto, it would be, "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst". A close second is, "Don't regret what you've done, regret what you haven't".

Chris Murhpy is a Violinist, Composer and Band Leader

For 25 years, and with no sign of slowing, violinist Chris Murphy has made a living by writing, performing and recording original music. For Murphy, the path forward is charted by looking backward, to the troubadours and minstrels of ages past. Forget the exaggerated reports of the music industry’s demise. It’s only the record industry, a relative blip in the history of putting tones in sequence, that’s suffering. Music, and the opportunity to make a life’s work out of it, well, that’s not going anywhere. “In another era,” he says, “I would have played square dances, and loved it. I would have been a court musician in Versailles in the 17th Century, or a violinist in a circus orchestra.” For Chris Murphy, inspiration spans eras and aesthetics, but the fundamentals are the same.

Born into an Irish-Italian family near New York City, Murphy was surrounded by the disparate and eclectic sounds of his neighbors’ traditional music. “I heard and was influenced by everything – from Italian-mandolin music, to bluegrass and folk, to Latin music,” he says. Inevitably, he discovered rock ‘n’ roll, claiming still further influence from some of rock’s most adventurous and eclectic icons: Lou Reed and Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan and Richard Thompson. “My real hero,” he says, “was David Lindley. Hearing him play fiddle and lap steel with Jackson Browne — that kind of esoteric, enigmatic soloing over songs is originally what I loved.”

He learned about Turkish and Indian music at Simon’s Rock of Bard College and then studied composition at Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music. A longtime instrumental dabbler, Murphy has mostly taught himself how to play percussion, guitar and mandolin, even some Eastern instruments, but he found his proper match at 22, when he picked up the violin. “It’s the one instrument you’ll find anywhere you go,” he says. “And it has a wonderful, charming kind of minstrel quality. I love all the myths surrounding it.”

Eventually, Murphy did as so many American adventure seekers had done before him: He sought his fortune in the West. Now based in Los Angeles, Murphy earns his living by teaching — guitar, mandolin and violin — working on music for films, and, mostly, by performing his work for audiences.

And that’s hardly at the exclusion of recording. To wit, Murphy has amassed a deep catalog of solo and collaborative albums and made cameo appearances on records by Har Mar Superstar and The Dandy Warhols, among others. Murphy’s recordings include the likes of Steve Hodges and Larry Taylor from Tom Waits’ band, Nels Cline (Wilco), Mike Watt (fIREHOSE), D.J. Bonebrake and John Doe (X, The Knitters), Herb Pedersen (The Desert Rose Band), Tim O’Brien, Joachim Cooder (Buena Vista Social Club), Joey Peters (Grant Lee Buffalo), Walfredo Reyes Jr. (Santana), Trevor Hutchinson (Waterboys, Lunasa) and Pat D’Arcy, L. Shankar (Peter Gabriel), Victoria Williams. In the last year alone, Murphy has written and recorded six new albums in a vast array of styles. Chris has also been featured on television programs such as ‘Til Death and The Ellen Degeneres Show; his diverse and chameleon-like talents make him a sought after composer and collaborator for film and television. Chris has also performed in over 40 US states, in England and in Ireland.

As he searches for new ways to communicate through music, fusing styles and techniques from across the globe — a unique fabric of world music, he calls it — Murphy finds his element on the stage, where spontaneity and improvisation reign. “To me, the music is liquid, and I’m looking to have some kind of experience.” he says. “I’ll twist and turn and hammer and mold and shape cut and paste the music to do that.
