Yan Golding is a passionate cultural creative, yoga teacher, permaculture teacher, community builder, dancer and explorer of consciousness. Before the age of 18 he lived in five different countries and has continued traveling extensively so he never knows how to respond when people ask “Where are you from?”.

After graduating from a Quaker high school in the US he went to study aerospace engineering in The Netherlands. After 6 months he felt thoroughly saturated with the education system and became a ski-instructor. At 24 he embarked on a life-changing, 2 ½-year overland journey from Amsterdam to Australia, where he came in contact with meditation, yoga, wwoofing and rainbow gatherings. Since then he has participated sparingly in financial and cultural norms, retaining a natural curiosity (and sometimes bewilderment) for many of our social habits.

In 2002 Yan returned to South Africa with his partner, who he met in Auroville, India, to help create a community on 700 Ha of beautiful land. There he remained continuously for nine years, becoming the leading co-founder of Khula Dhamma Ecovillage. During that time he trained as a permaculture & ecovillage designer, massage therapist, vision quest facilitator, natural builder, yoga facilitator and taught himself a wide variety of skills related to sustainable and community living- including basic midwifery as he delivered his two beautiful daughters into this world.

In 2010, while attending an ecovillage design course, Yan was struck with a vision of an intentional unification and conscious collaboration among all people and groups who are dreaming and working for a brighter future. Since then he has devoted most of his creativity and energy towards raising awareness among the many branches of social change about our collective potential to work together to catalyse a fundamental cultural and systemic shift.

Currently Yan is serving as a lead focaliser for United Earth – an emerging global platform for unity and collaboration.

He now lives in South Portugal where he intends to co-create another ecovillage. Locally, he is part of the steering group for Transition Town Lagos and is exploring new paradigms and practices around gardening in conscious co-creation with Nature Intelligences.

Matthew David Hurtado is the CEO of Network Holdings LLC.  He has been involved in fitness and health supplements since the age of 15 years old, when he first fell in love with bodybuilding.

Matthew has overcome an eating-disorder, Lyme's disease with chronic fatigue syndrome, and PTSD, as well as having endured the financial strains of illness. After becoming successful in several different ventures and running the operations of companies doing millions-of-dollars in sales, Matthew noticed things he didn't like about the supplement industry.  One common denominator and theme kept showing up -- most health-supplement companies source inferior ingredients containing toxins and sell their product for thousands of times the actual cost of producing the product to the end consumer.  To make matters worse, many of the most successful supplements are sold via the endorsement of some doctor or health guru directly tied into the profits of the company.

In 2013, Matthew decided  that it was time to invest his own money and time into researching and developing a brand of products that he would feel safe having his own kids use.  This meant that ultra-pure ingredients and world-class manufacturing would have to be the backbone of the company, and cutting-edge science and innovative thinking would be employed to make these products affordable.  After hiring an elite staff of advisors, Matthew's dream became realized with the birth of Complete Ascentials in April of 2014.

DAVID RESNICK

David Resnick is a technology entrepreneur who creates impactful, playful, and community-building experiences. He is the CEO and co-founder of Bestr, an app to get the best recommendations from the right people. He is also the chief evangelist and co-founder of Stutter Social, an online community that uses Google Hangouts to host support groups across 40 countries. Google made press efforts on behalf on the organization (Forbes, LA Times) and promoted Stutter Social on social media and their internal company newsletter.

David’s work has garnered him speaking engagements at TEDxCulverCity, UCLA Student Leadership Training, the National Stuttering Association, FRED Talks, and the BIL Conference. He speaks about how to use technology to build empathic resonance; an experience that fosters connection, new opportunities, and compassion.

David was previously the co-founder of Love Intelligence Group, an entertainment technology company, where he built interactive visual shows for Enrique Iglesias, The Flaming Lips, and the Whitney Museum. He also co-founded Evolving Media, a digital agency, with clients including GlaxoSmithKline, Elton John, and Johns Hopkins University.

He was named MVP of his Div III college basketball team at Bard College and he holds his M.S. in Arts Computation Engineering from UC Irvine where his sensory augmentation inventions were featured in Engadget, Gizmodo, and the UCLA Gamelab. David has served on the Board of Directors of the International Stuttering Association and the Live Arts Collaboration.

LIZ FOHL

Liz Fohl grew up in Indianapolis and recorded/released her first collection of songs the summer after 8th grade (she burned each CD and wrote the track titles on every one with a Sharpie). In high school, she signed up for show choir before knowing what it was, put out a second record (no Sharpies this time), and dyed her hair many, many colors.

Liz studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston before moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full time. She interned at Fader5 Studios and performed 4 nights a week at a high-energy dueling piano bar in Hollywood for a few years. Now she works out of her cozy home studio, complete with a very cute husky, where she writes custom music for tv shows and commercials, composes custom podcast music, records voice over content, and produces original music.

A talented musician, vocalist and performer, Liz plays piano, guitar, and electric bass, as well as being a professional vocalist. Liz has toured internationally as a solo act as well as accompanying American Idol and X-Factor contestants.

Liz’s clients include: Netflix, MTV, VH1, Sony BMG, VIACOM, Comedy Central, Amazon Web Services, TikTok, The Buffalo Bills, The ASCAP Foundation, DeBeers Jewelers, Harper’s Bazaar, many more.

Godfrey Harris has been President of Harris/Ragan Management Group, a Los Angeles-based public policy consulting firm, since 1968. The firm deals in governmental policy analysis, development and advocacy as well as electoral politics, proposal presentations, and product development.

Harris has participated in all of the firms consulting assignments for such clients as the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, and Housing and Urban Development, the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, the Govern­ment of Panama, the Government of St. Kitts-Nevis, the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Society of International Travel Representatives, the Foreign Policy Association of Panama, International Publishers Alliance, Friends Assisting Friends, the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association, the Beverly Hills International Music Festival, the Da Vinci Exhibit, Voter Issue Alliance, High School America, the International Ivory Society, the Ivory Education Institute, and many others.

He has been honored with the US Army Commendation Medal, election to Phi Beta Kappa, selection for the First Lifetime Achievement Award of Southern California publishers, and has had multiple listings in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.

BEYOND THE PARIS ATTACKS by Godfrey Harris

          Given the recent destruction of a Russian airliner over Sinai, the suicide bombings in Beirut and the horrific November 13 attack on Paris, no one can think that ISIS is done. They are going to come here just as surely as they have murdered Christians, beheaded Americans and accepted Boko Haram’s kidnappers into their terror network.

          If nothing else, ISIS will want to prove to its worldwide followers that neither the French retaliatory bombing of targets in Raqqa nor American drone strikes against its leaders has deterred them in their ultimate mission to destroy democracy and establish a worldwide caliphate.

          A few other things seem clear. Concern over whether comments could be interpreted as tarring an entire religion with the acts of its fanatical fringe is tantamount to taking an inventory of the table linens as the Andrea Dorea sinks. Arguing over whether we should refer to this vicious enemy as ISIL, ISIS, the Islamic State or Daesh seems to offer comfort to those who don’t want to deal with the reality of our safety; seeing this threat to America as part of an overall discussion of immigration policy only panders to the bumper sticker set. None of these matters bear on the security we seek or the truth we face:

          The Islamic State believes that only Allah has the wisdom and power to make laws governing man’s behavior. ISIS followers see all forms of democracy as a presumptuous interference in God’s work.

          In light of this, we need to stop thinking that the methods used in the Middle East and Europe are necessarily the same tools that would be used to strike the American homeland. We need to start thinking about defending our democratic institutions from assault in the same way we are protecting our physical sites from attack. Given the way ISIS has used television and social media to rally and recruit its followers, are we still prepared to do nothing to restrict the use of First Amendment rights to those who are committed to trying to extinguish their use by the rest of us?

          The Supreme Court has generally held that freedom of speech means virtually no prior restraint. While it is well accepted that free speech does not extend to falsely shouting “Fire!” in a crowded theater, the restriction is enforced and punishment administered only after someone actually does it.

          So the worrisome dilemma for Americans is that if we do nothing until serious harm befalls us, it could be too late to act in any meaningful way to reverse the damage. In fact, given the horrors already inflicted by ISIS on populations abroad, the initial destruction could be so severe, the havoc so widespread and the terror so pervasive that we might have difficulty recovering from it.

          Surely there must be a better way to protect our society and preserve the Bill of Rights than simply waiting for a calamity to occur before a ponderous judicial system moves to deal with the matter. Since the Founding Fathers were able to create a dazzling array of constitutional checks and balances to permit change while protecting minority positions, shouldn’t we be able to find the same kind of balance in terms of the First Amendment?

          One idea might be to create a mechanism called the Freedom Forum — a demographically representative, 15-member, Congressionally established, federal regulatory board to rule whether any imminent use of Bill of Rights freedoms could threaten society. While courts take time to receive, certify and hear an issue after the fact, Freedom Forum members serving staggered nine-year terms and connected by secure Internet applications would be specifically mandated to render quick determinations before an event occurs.

          Here are two examples from history where a Freedom Forum might have answered a key question quickly and fairly for all sides:

          • Was Lincoln’s suspension of habeas corpus an appropriate way to stop agitation by Confederate sympathizers living in the North?

          • Was FDR’s interment of citizens of Japanese descent an acceptable precaution against a perceived threat?

          Of course, the Freedom Forum would be radical, different and at the edge of current Constitutional boundaries. But surely we need to have a conversation, given recent events, on how to establish a reliable and adaptive mechanism to preserve our most cherished rights from those who would use those rights to end them forever. Need we repeat the experiences of Russia at the end of World War I, Germany in the 1930s or Czechoslovakia in the late ‘40s when the machinery of their democratic systems was used to crush their further use?

          Let’s start talking before our institutions are crippled.

Eve Shippens is a parent, teacher and alumni of the Buffalo Public Schools. She is fighting for the children's right to an equitable, quality, enriching public education. Buffalo has a child poverty rate of close to 50% and is one of the most segregated cities in the country. Eve became active in the fight when the state of New York declared her school, along with three others, out of time and decided to shut them down. She fought with hundreds of students, teachers, families and other activists to keep the schools open and public!

Guy Needler MBA, MSc, CEng, MIET, MCMA initially trained as a mechanical engineer and quickly progressed on to be a chartered electrical and electronics engineer. However, throughout this earthly training he was always aware of the greater reality being around him, catching glimpses of the worlds of spirit. This resulted in a period from his teenage to early twenties where he reveled in the spiritual texts of the day and meditated intensively. Being subsequently told by his guides to focus on his earthly contribution for a period he scaled back the intensity of spiritual work until his late thirties where he was re-awakened to his spiritual roles. His training and experience in energy based therapies have resulted in him being a member of the Complementary Medical Association (MCMA). 

Along with his healing abilities his spiritual associations include being able to channel information from spirit including constant contact with other entities within our multi-verse and his higher self and guides. It is the channeling that has resulted in "The History of God" and is producing further work.

As a method of grounding Guy practices and teaches Aikido. He is a 5th Dan National Coach with 28 years experience and is currently working on the use of spiritual energy within the physical side of the art.

Guy welcomes questions on the subject of spiritual physics and who and what God is. 

“I was born Mark Block in Boulder City, Nevada on September 20th 1953 at 4:35 a.m. with conscious memory of being aboard a Starship. I knew I was from a more advanced planet and had many conscious memories that I did not want to share with anyone until I was older. My parents moved shortly after my birth to Vista, a small sleepy town in southern California just 7 miles from the ocean where I grew up testing my father’s “Parasails” along with my older brother on the beach. My parents Paul and Arlene Block provided for the most part a pretty normal childhood. My mother was a schoolteacher and my father in addition to designing and inventing the “Parasail” and appearing on the cover of LOOK and LIFE Magazine in the 1950′s, was a professional Stage Hypnotist, pilot and a follower of the famous Channel Edgar Cayce.

When I was a child I began to have many spiritual experiences that are compiled in my book, Prepare For The Landings: Are You Ready! The interesting thing about the book is when I was a young child I had a vision showing me I was going to publish a book much later in life, as well as knowing the title. It would not be published until several years before the events described in the book would actually happen. I finally published it in early 2009 and it does appear that the events described are indeed about to occur right on time. My father knew that Cayce was activated by a hypnotist that Cayce had gone to about a problem he was having. So when I showed signs of being a Channel, my dad began working with me and helped me develop into the Channel that I was destined to become today.

At age 15 I was doing Readings for people up and down the west coast of the US by word of mouth. At first my Readings were much like Edgar Cayce’s, in that they were Karmic in nature. Then in 1979, I was physically beamed aboard for the second time (my first contact occurred at age 6) to one of the Spiritual Hierarchy’s spacecraft known as a Merkabah Lightship. During this visit I was “activated” as a “Direct-Voice Channel for the Spiritual Hierarchy.” From then on I began exclusively doing Readings for the Lightworkers or Star People.
