ROBIN CECIL

Robin Cecil, Violinist, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance at California State University, Long Beach, and was a member of the honored University String Quartet and American Youth Symphony under the baton of Mehli and Zubin Mehta.

Because of her versatile playing ability, Robin has been chosen to perform on stage with many celebrities such as Elton John, Josh Groban, Luciano Pavarotti, Reba McEntire, and Yo Yo Ma. As a studio musician, she can also be seen and heard on television commercials and movie soundtracks such as “Spiderman”, “The Soloist”, and on several Rock/Pop/Country CDs with Vitamin String Quartet. Robin lives in Garden Grove, California with Todd, her husband and 5 chickens and 2 turtles.

In 2013, Robin was invited to Anyang, South Korea as Artistic Ambassador to perform with her harpist-daughter in celebration of Anyang’s 40th Anniversary of Peace and Freedom.

David Schwartzman, Professor Emeritus at Howard University, is an Ecosocialist, Environmental Scientist focusing on biogeochemistry, climate change and energy. He is also a Candidate for Council At-Large, DCSGP Primary, June 19, 2018

David has been a resident of D.C. since 1976, on the Howard University Faculty since 1973 (environmental scientist, PhD, Brown University and a member of the Taxi drivers local Teamsters Union, Providence, R.I., long term member of the American Association of University Professors. Dr. Linda Seger has a broad religious background. She grew up Lutheran and did several years of spiritual seeking in her 20s. She became a Born-Again Christian and then joined the Quakers (Society of Friends) and is a member of The Colorado Springs Friends Meeting. Throughout the years, she has meditated at a Zen Buddhist center, attended New Age conferences, has done the spiritual exercises of Saint Ignatius, and has read and taken classes in the religions of the world.

She has a Th.D. in Drama and Theology, and created her script consulting business based on her dissertation project about the elements needed to make a script work. She explored the integration of Drama and Spirituality during her five years in seminary.  She holds three M.A. degrees: Drama from Northwestern University, Religion and the Arts from Pacific School of Religion, and Feminist Theology from Immaculate Heart College Center.

Dr. Seger has built her script consulting business based on the spiritual principles in her books. She is dedicated to helping her clients express their spirituality through their writing and to deepening the themes and values found in films. She has long been interested in the relationship of spirituality and creativity.  As a result of her broad religious background, she is able to nurture the spiritual values of others through her books and her public speaking.

Dr. Seger lives near Colorado Springs. She is the author of numerous books on spirituality and screenwriting and has delivered seminars and keynote speeches in 33 countries.
